Around here, that would essentially be a moped. This is by far the coolest sounding/looking moped I've ever heard/seen.

Your video brings back memories of a special project my mechanics teacher gave me back in high school; rebuilding a 1984 Kawasaki 440 LTD.
It was my first bike rebuild, and even had to use some supplies in my science class and help from one of my dad's co-workers at the post office main hub, who did some plastic welding to rebuild the fuel filter because we didn't even think to use the internet, and the local Kawa dealers didn't have any available. Probably the proudest part.
Felt great to accomplish such a project. Nobody else in my school's history got to rebuild a bike, only ever worked on cars.
My partner in class and I were also given other rebuild tasks. While all the other students worked on the cars, we go the bike project, and rebuild projects when my teacher would bring in older tools due to our miniscule budget. (the mechanics class got $5000/yr for a budget. To put that into perspective; wood shop got $5000/mo; and every other class got bigger budgets than that)
In particular, I think I enjoyed rebuilding the reciprocating bandsaw my teacher picked up at a garage sale for $50.
Thanks for the stroll down memory lane! Great looking mini-bike, love the paint job, and the paint scheme! Especially the black and silver 'bat wings'

by far the coolest 49cc bikes ive seen, i had one when i was around the age of 4 but didnt have gears, by far the coolest one ive seen, id hope to see ur son grow up and become a motorcyclist, I think your son is probably one of the coolest kids ive seen to actually want to do this too, where i live my motorcycle and dirtbike hobby is frowned at and nobody wants to get to know me for who i actually am because of that

Roku Playz Thanks for the comments! Yes, he is still interested in motorcycles and don't worry about what others think. As the saying goes, you just need to do you and haters gonna hate. As long as you are happy, no one can bring you down with their negativity. Take care.

Very nice rebuild I'm not sure about your state but here in Delaware you could get that mini chopper tagged as a moped cause it's 50cc all you would have to do is take it D.M V. and as long as it would pass inspection they would give you a moped tag and I it is bigger than 50cc it would have to pass the same inspection as a motorcycle.

I remember having some trouble with the gears too at first. Though you learn them quick. Btw what's the max speed on that thing? I have a Keeway Tx 50, but due to the stupid laws in Finland, It's not legal to have it go any faster than 22mph. Though I did remove one choke (which isn't really smart since if I get caught the fine will be around 1000€) so the max speed is about 47mph

great job !! i did the same , bought a mini from 2007 [means i dont need indicators here in NL , but do have to use arm signals of course ] stripped it , re spray - refit + new parts , wiring , taillights , used some old harley parts , [horn ,plate-tail light ] and finished up with a really cool mini ride - one of a kind , mini choppers bring smiles to peoples faces , i live in the city of the Dutch TT and we have ,due to the circuit being close by lots of Biker theme days - brit racing day , TT , etc etc , so lots of Bikers , everyone really reacts in a very positive manner as mini choppers arent so well known here yet - if you want to see my finished ride - type mini chopper lowrider bobber , in you tube , you,ll find my 'Punisher-Piglet ' !

Most parts were fabricated at home. Only actual purchased part was the carb (off ebay), since the bowl was cracked, warped and wouldn't seal. The engine is a Chinese made Honda 70 clone. Honda parts for this motor just bolt on and are still widely available. Thanks for the comment and good luck on your build.

May I ask where you bought this chopper? Ive been looking all over for these mini choppers.. . The good quality ones, Not the Chinese! Although I do see people that have taken the Chinese Choppers that you can buy and build them up American style, By tearing them down and building them back up with quality aftermarket parts, And some of these people drop in way better engines than whats in them... Like little Yamaha or Honda Thumpers, Which also gives them a performance Gain Ofcourse! BUT... . . . I do know There are some Small American Companies that do build and sell these Choppers with your choice of engine usually.. . But I Dont know where to start to look for these Choppers! Only the Chinese Scooter shops that are in the US pop up Online when I Search for them. Thanks in advance for any help thats Available from these comments or Channel.
