Have to admit, never watched this show before now: Everyone's talking about Gigi etc but I'm blown away by the ferocity and passion of Mayowa Nicholas, gushing about her gold choker and feeling like a goddess as she walked in that pink leather-trimmed dress?! She didn't just wear the dress, she embodied what it means to be a Versace woman! Some of these looks made my heart stutter, they were so beautiful. Such a beautiful tribute to the beauty Gianni left as his legacy.
There were too many models and of course the buzz was circling around the 90s supermodels. Just saw Mayowa now and never heard of her before and i thought exactly the same; she is a GODDESS omg.
Noah Alexander Harris when you buy something at a store and they have outstanding customer service (even though it’s their job to be good) it’s still nice to leave feedback that they did a great job. Recognition is nice :)

@Broke Dawn Agree she got easy access to it because of her mom... But she is not that bad herself, she is a far better model than others who came in via nepotism... Her mom wasn't the best at her walk despite being a supermodel compared to others but she is really good with her walk and Naomi praised her skills too
It would be nice to see 90's Supermodel Yasmeen Ghauri being there. I'm aware she lives a private life now , but she was one of Gianni Versace's muse. Her catwalk at those early 90's Versace Shows were just so FIERCE.
I agree. I always loved Yasmeen’s walk and her past is always blind sighted by the fashion industry. She may be private but the industry is also not keen to bring her up.

My mum bought in the 90s an original Gianni Versace's fabric and she made a dress with it. Now this dress is mine, suddenly the print isn't part of this show😞. However it's a very beautiful and original print: light blue on the background with daysies, raspberries and strawberries. An edge on the end in baroque style.
I love how the narrator was talking about the amazing casting, and the video editors were cutting to the models of color but the narrator (Virginia Smith?) was just naming the whitest of the white models LOL
The homage to Gianni was so beautiful. And bringing back the models (the greats) to models that at the time were the it girl. In fashion this was amazing to bring back. I remember super models when I was a kid and I just wanted to exude the confidence they had.
Let’s also not forget the age of the supermodels who walked with Donatella in the end... how one earth did they become even more beautiful then in their youth?!
I've always looked at these fashion shows as designers displaying their art that inspires trends and our everyday attire. It's beautiful but not something your average person is going to wear.
yeah thats exactly the point, its mean to be like a future fashion inspiratipn or sumn. If you look at 1992 fashion show, most clothes they wear on runway looks like something we wear on a daily basis , but back then its relatively new. So i assume the fashion shows running now will inspire our new normal in the future who knows
A lot of people buy parts of these looks and style them differently. Thats the fun in fashion to me. You can take one of these shirts or dresses and manipulate it however you please.
@@Liitebulb eh not entirely in my opinion. I don't think these designers (a good majority of them) have the average person in mind when designing and then showing off their creations at these shows and aren't aiming to inspire because they know Hollywood is gonna drop some big bucks to wear their art to special events. Just because eventually trends are inspired by them...well, I don't think that is their initial plan. What I meant was the way that I perceive them (lol the average person).
I don’t think it was the best show ever... I think one of Karl Lagerfeld collections for CHANEL will take that prize... but this Versace collection and show was none the less absolutely perfection! For me, it made me fall in love with Versace and Donatella and everything the brand has done since has been fabulous!
