Thanks for the question! Unfortunately, no it will not work for Interactive PDF. Instead, use InDesign's Publish Online or export for EPub (Fixed Layout) and view the project in an e-reader like Apple Books.

Hi Angelo, what would be the best way of distributing the fixed layout epub?. Any suggestion?
There are various ways. Because this is a document, you can email it just like you would a PDF. Another good idea is adding it to your website as a downloadable link. The idea is to get people to open it the same way they would a PDF.
Yes, I have similar ideas but I think emailing 5 - 10MB attachment is a bit to large. I guess downloading would be a better options. Which reader is best for Fixed layout epub if I am using PC?
@@rush2004 Agree, you'd have to compress the file or send via cloud/drive link. As far as epub for PC, the best one I have encountered is called Caliber.

Hey Angelo, I'm working on a project that this would be perfect for however once I have my link from G-Maps and I go to Indesign and click object/insert html, the html snippet box pops up for a few seconds then I get a box that says 'Java script error encountered while loading html' ... and goes no further. Have you encountered this or have any idea how I can overcome the error??
Hi Nic. If you're trying to export for PDF, Insert HTML will not be supported for that platform.

Can we embedded Google maps into and export as a high quality PDF for print?
Hi Minh. No, this will not export for PDF because it is not a live image on the page. It is HTML code. You could always take a screen shot of the map and place it as an image if you need it for print.

No, you can't embed HTML into an interactive PDF. The only thing you could do is hyperlink to the map online. Remember, interactive PDF is flash and not much you can do anymore. Even video and audio won't work properly.
Is it possible to save this as a PDF to send over email?
Hi David. This is an HTML embed code, so it won't work for PDF unfortunately.
