Yes I'm still sick, But I was inspired and wanted to do a videos on my views when it come to being a content creator. Fortunately Hololive's very on reaper presented me the perfect opportunity.
So heres something abit different. I'm going to take some medicine and get back to work on these videos.

Not just because I've covered Callie's song or agree with her message. While I will do other videos like this it will not be my regular content.

What kind of horror-related content specifically? Horror story readings? You playing horror games? Something else? All three? I'm really curious.
@@en-men-lu-ana6870 essentially all three and more. Stories, books, movies, video games, Table top games and supplements, etc etc.
If its horror I'll more than likely dip my dorito dusted digits into it as that will be the channel's focus. But I'll also be trying other things as they catch my eye.
I'll be releasing a video at the end of the month going into more detail, answering questions and reading comments so if anything comes to mind leave it on any new video leading up to the end of February.

I understand that the prospect of content creation can be daunting but theres no small number of creators, myself included, that would be willing to give guidance and share our learned lessons to help them get started.
@@Kabhaal and ya'll lovely for doing so. Personally i decided to make my own live 2d model and streamed with it once or twice with it. Currently i'm working to upgrade my pc to stream pc games with a model on screen.
I don't have time to grind like all of you but huge following won't be my aim. If i can just foster a small community that has fun with itself then i'll be most happy

Calli really did a great job, sparking something up in aspiring VTubers, content creators and surely motivating many other 'regular people' - like myself - as well.
Most of the reactions i saw so far haven't done it as deep (on the lyrical and metaphorical level) as you did and that i can truly appreciate.
As for you (thanks to the algorithm gods bringing me here) ...I'm excited too see where you'll be as a content creator in the future.

Watch Scru Face Jean, he's reviewed Calli's songs for a while, not to the depth of this guy but I'd say that at least more in depth than your average reactor
Check his comment, he's gonna do horror stuff, if that isn't your speed, he would rather you not sub. It could hurt the channel to have people subbed who don't watch the videos he puts out, and he doesn't want to force people to watch what they don't enjoy. Just making sure you know.

I like your take on the “bore me and its off with their heads,” part when I haven’t seen much interpretation of it. I assumed, especially given parts later in the song, it was her saying “Give me your excuses, and you’re done.” But I like your interpretation of it too.
I played this song on loop for the 2 weeks I worked on my audition for Hololive EN Gen2 (hoping for a co-ed gen or Holostars EN slot). 6 years of content creation, most of it daily, with uncountable hours of editing, pouring my soul into series after series. Surviving subscriber purges, being sold to a useless network, a full channel demonetization after some fake Chinese company claimed hundreds of my old videos, followed by a shadow ban and having to tweet out when my videos went up because up because they sure as hell weren't in anyone's subs. Did I ever give up? How could I? I've entertained too many people, gotten too many comments about brightening someone's day. I could never stop, I'm just looking for the next incarnation to form myself in.

I honestly dont feel I've earned being called a Vtuber yet, but thank you that genuinely brings a smile to my face and you might have just made my day.
I can't stop listening to it either, it really get my creative spirit riled up and sent me into galaxy brain mode on what I can make next.
I'm glad you pointed out the stuff about the "company hires" thing. People seem to think Hololive as a group elevates the talents to such a high level, but if anything, it's the opposite. Cover was just another tech business in Japan before Sora and A-Chan showed up.
Edit: Also, to tack on to this, to be accepted into HL you already basically have to be someone special. You pretty much *need* a successful past. The hololive talents aren't just nobodies off the street they handed a channel to.
My favourite thing about off with their heads other than the song itself is seeing the two sides of people who hear it, on one side is people like yourself who agree with what she's saying and actually make content then there's the people she's actually targeting who are ignoring her advice despite it being for them to encourage them to put themselves out there to go get the success she wants them to get. Calli has been super supportive of Indie creators in the time she's been with hololive so to think people say she hates Indie vtubers is stupid, like look at her remix contest where she shone the spotlight on content creators such as boogie voxx who before the contest had 5k subs and after had 20k and are still growing, Just keep grinding and you'll get your chance to shine basically.
Anyway thats all I got to say, enjoyed your reaction to her song and I liked that you stuck to your character even though it probably puts off people.

Also there's one part of the song I feel everyone has missed and it's the line "Expect nothing more than earth shaking when these dead beats rise."I feel like it's such interesting phrasing because yes, her fans are called dead beats but the actual definition of dead beat is a person who refuses to work and the way that it is phrased here makes it sound like she's saying when all of these "dead beats" who are refusing to put in the work actually "rise up" it'll be "earth shaking"
Which is honestly such a positive message. She's not knocking anyone, she's bringing them up. She's saying if you actually "rise up" and work, we'll all see how amazing you are.

UA-cam's internet magic deposited me here a year and a half late, and it makes me smile to see all those original comments looking forward to seeing where you're going, Kabhaal. You really did throw your all at that mountaintop, didn't you? Thank you (belatedly) for this breakdown. Off With Their Heads came out right around the time I started my own content creation journey and it's been a constant energizing inspiration to me all this while. I'm glad that plenty of people understand the true point of it.
Callie is 100% right in this. i'm just a tiny 112 sub channel, and my typical viewership is no more than a few seconds to minutes at a time and only 3-10 views. i've only got a couple that blew up when i covered people like Projekt Melody that actually broke 1000. despite that, i'm not going to give up just cause of that. if i quit now, then i'll never have the opportunity to possibly be successful. for instance, i'm an avid martial artist and my first major failure was during my Blue Belt test. that sucked but i knew that, as crappy as i felt, success is paved on the bricks of failure. i failed again during my Red Belt test, but i was able to laugh it off that time because i learned to accept it. now, because i kept at it, i'll be going for my Black Belt in likely just a few months. however if i quit at that time i failed during my Blue Belt test, i would never be where i am now. its the same with my UA-cam Channel. sure, i may never become popular and i may never truly succeed, but that doesn't mean i'm going to give up because that MAY happen. it's only guaranteed to happen if you quit.
Character dedication is great, subscribed. Not much of a content consumer myself, got my own mountains to climb, but I wish you the best and hope you gain success.

@@Kabhaal Haachama/Akai Haato has been acting out some pretty quality horror leading up to her 1M subs milestone.
To over-summarize, Akai Haato debuted with a written character, but eventually changed her streaming style/content to some crazy stuff, eventually going solely by the nickname Haachama. Over the past few weeks, she has streamed as Haato again, while Haachama is "sleeping". The story has come to a head (lol) as she hit 1M earlier today/yesterday. It's been pretty gripping watching it all unfold.

Some of the "Haachama" content over the past year or two are her ghastly cooking videos, asking her viewers for feet videos, and reviewing R18 fanart of herself live on stream. On the flip side, when she is Akai Haato, her streams can be really sweet and comfy. Her song "RED HEART" is a bop, too.
yeah the way she pulled off this whole arc was great also loved how she used a singing stream to go along with it and had the two personalities fighting with each other using song (you can find a reupload of the singing stream if you search haachama and haato singing stream) hope a clipper makes a good time line for haato /haachama arc so its easier for people to follow who missed out on it

Also this was the first video I saw of yours and I genuinely think the reaction tag is actually misleading because it strikes me more as an analysis? From the standpoint of an actual content creator.
Honestly if someone wants to be a Vtweeter, they can. Twitter is a legitimate platform to post all kinds of stuff, voice, video clips, etc. Its still content, its just that they decide to make their content on twitter, much like how a vtuber is more a youtube oriented thing that naturally transfers to twitch because of the similarity between the content on both platforms.
6 years+ ago, I used to be a content creator, though sadly some major RL issues cropped up and as a result I had to stop, listed my videos as private and now have been thinking about getting back into it, under a different moniker as a Vtuber purely because I do like the anonymity and character it allows. Admittedly, just like you, what Cali has said only helped ignite it, I loved doing it, I still re-watch some of my stupid videos and shared some with close friends. They loved it and said it was a pity I stopped. So I have hope my stupid ass self can make something that`ll help me find my place on the mountain.

Anyone who says calli doesn't understand the struggle is VERY ignorant. I founder her alt persona and became a fan several months before she went vtuber which had a relatively small amount of subs (60k ISH) but she was doing for several years. she probably got her whole vtuber persona because she put so much work and content for several years before her big break. Which is something they, the people outraged, probably don't understand.

Okay this definitely needs more views. This is the best video on the song i have seen so far perfectly dissecting the meaning of most lines instead of just saying something among the lines of "Yo this is fire" or "she spitting bars"

I've been recommended so many reactions to calli's song and ignored every single one, idk what drove me to click this one but I'm glad that I did, really enjoyed the vid and I look forward to more content!
Got shown this vid thanks to friends over in a Discord server I'm in, and I gotta say this video is pretty much my favorite reaction/analysis of Calli's song that I've seen! Been listening to it a lot, since I've loved Calli's music anyway and this song turned an already returning flame even brighter.
But I'll admit there's bits I hadn't even considered the meaning of, just sorta accepted as flavor to the song, but every bit of your analysis made perfect sense to me and you put it in an easy to understand manner as well!
I'll be keeping out for any future endeavors of yours as well, and spread the word of this vid where I can! You honestly deserve a lot more subscribers/followers!

I appreciate all the HoloEN girls, for the past 2 years I've been telling my friends that i wanted to start a Twitter for my Artwork and never did.
Once HoloEN debuted and I met my Fav Vtuber Ina with her aspirations and advice to aspiring artists got me fired up and decided to finally start it.
My twitter had been live since September and I love it, I love to do artwork and since I've gotten the chance to work on a few Twitch Channels to create emotes for them.
I love it, The fact that Calli went out of her way to Kick you in the right direction without holding back I LOVE THAT.
Sometimes all we need is a STRAIGHT FORWARD advice, no holds back.

A great analysis! I love it. I'm glad I found this channel, because you seem like a genuinely interesting dude.
One thing I'd like to add to what you've said- years ago, I subscribed to a musician. He was small potatoes then, but with a couple of videos, he got tons of views, up to 6 digits (on those specific videos). And as he became more views, he got more active, releasing more music. The thing is- it seemed like he became more dedicated, and with better exposure, he had the chance to turn content creation into his full-time. Like you said, you can't let the day-to-day analytics get to you, and this musician didn't. He started off small, and kept working diligently. He didn't chase trends. He focused on doing more, producing more music. But the thing is... the last few videos I saw him upload only had a 500-ish views. His subscriber count was somewhere around 50,000.
His channel was, and is, flailing. He wasn't chasing trends, he was working diligently, producing content he usually made. But the unfortunate reality is that sometimes a content creator might have to chase trends to get some traction. It can't all be "if you put your best efforts forward, eventually, it will pay off," because sometimes what works is what's popular, as vapid and stupid as it might be. Even professional content creators seem to stoop to this, putting big red arrows on their thumbnails, or a lot of exclamation points and question marks.
My question to you is this- do you think that its possible to be a professional content creator without chasing trends? Because that musician I subbed to ages ago seems to prove a very negative side of content creation.
Shit I'm inspired to keep pushing.
Good! Keep moving forward, but learn all that you can and always be ready to jump on a opportunity.
