More work and less talk, is what you need. Every episode you complain about something. Everybody is guilty, but you!
Have you ever considered if you canโt say anything nice just donโt say anything at all. Thatโs some good advice you may want to consider more in your life ๐
@@Mikefestivahahaha
If you donโt like his content then donโt watch it Iโm sure he would not miss you!
@@Mikefestiva Hey new to trucks and off-roading, I don't plan on doing it much as my Suzuki is more for road use. My question is I didn't pick a diff lock as I found a almost new looking carry with low miles, will a winch like yours be enough to get us out of being stuck without a diff lock?
@@dlmurray55 A winch will always pull you out regardless of propulsion (FWD, diff-locks or just a normal Honda Civic), the question is how often you have to use itโฆ
Mike, don't feel bad about not being promoted. UA-cam has become almost a waste of time trying to search for specific content. The crap they promote when you view the channel anonymously is just ridiculous.
Thanks for checking out my new video! Yes seems like YT only shows a smaller portion of my subscribers my new content. I do appreciate having long time subscribers like you ๐ have a great weekend!
UA-cam doesnโt push content from creators, it pulls content to viewers based on what they like to watch. Another way to think of an algorithm is just your audience.
That's living, right there. I could spend my whole life doing what you are in this video.
@@99Projects Most assuredly it does! Just log onto UA-cam anonymously and anyone can see it. You can't have any cookies or tracking because that's how they follow you.
Sweet video to start the weekend. Thanks for sharing, Mike
Thanks for checking it out! Have a great weekend ๐
Great to see you out and about enjoying yourself in your camper. We all need some time to appreciate nature.
Over here you need permits to fish, permits to camp, permits to have any fun ๐ข
Thanks Mike ๐
Mike that is true living. The camper idea with the kei truck is a great way to go. Also cooking outdoors always beats indoor cooking .
This would be a totally righteous show on PBS 40 years ago. That's a compliment. Instant coffee is fantastic with a bit of honey and H+H. Also it continues to amaze me that there are supposed nature lovers who trash their spots.
Great video Mike! Love WA in the spring!
Thank you Mike, you inspired me to buy a KEI truck too.
You made me so hungry at 4:30 am and I ended up having early breakfast lol.
I'm actually a Japanese and my gramps has an old Acty truck(HA7) for his work.
I used drive it everywhere when I got my license. It was a decade ago but She's still resting in my garage so I think I'm gonna bring her back to life and do some small road trip with her.
I love your video and it gives me a huge motivation! I appreciate it!!
Right on! Thanks for checking out my videos ๐ my brother have a Honda Acty attack, thereโs some videos on my channel of both of our trucks out on some camping trips. You definitely should get that Acty going again! ๐
Bro I am India I continue watching your video your mini truck very super and continue this vlogs including mini truck bro๐๐
Thanks ๐
I love these little kei's, thinking of buying one myself, for a lil fixer upper to keep when i get my license.
Heck yeah. Mike uploaded another video!
You popped up on my notifications but wasnt able to watch until now after work ๐๐
Another awesome video as always Mike! Love the content man
That is stunningly beautiful countryside. I also much prefer paper maps.
I like your mini truck videos...
I have a 2002 carry and live in New Zealand. I do missions like this with my 9 year old a lot. We live off grid in the wilderness
I love these videos. They always make me want to build a solar powered camper to make my Hijet into a mini SHTF bug out vehicle, even though all of the camping I'm doing these days is dispersed ADV motorcycle camping. Your videos are always simple, honest and relaxing.
Looks like you had a nice chilled out little trip, makes me want to get out into my local forests.
Thanks for checking out my new video! Yes definitely get out and do some camping ๐๐
Cool adventure Mike with beautiful scenery. I would'nt say I'm jealous but maybe a bit bummed that we don't have such crazy outdoors like you do. It's all just pretty much flat around here and NO WAY you're allowed to just pick a spot to set up camp for the night. And I even live pretty rural for Dutch standards. Anyway.. thanks for taking us along and keep up the good work.
Greetings from the Netherlands, Mark
Thanks for checking out my video!
I spent a a few weeks in the Netherlands ๐ณ๐ฑ when I was 18. Mainly Amsterdam and took a train out to Zandvoort, my friends and I were on a major budget but did manage to get over to Cologne Germany for a few days. Definitely had some fun times ๐๐
@@Mikefestiva Ah yes.. the 'sin city' of the Netherlands, Amsterdam ๐ I seems that most people who visit the Netherlands have to go to Amsterdam. I kinda get it but also think that if you just visit Amsterdam you're missing out on a lot of what the Netherlands also can be like. It's a small country yes but with a lot of variety.. just mostly flat..
If you ever come across the big pond again shoot me a message, maybe we can arrange a nice stay for you.
Mike I have missed your videos. I use to look forward to your amazing adventures with your brother. I hope you can find more time to make some more. Thanks again for taking us along.
Thanks Wayne! I really appreciate it man ๐ Hopefully I can got my brother back out on a camping trip this summer ๐
You and your brother have such a wonderful relationship. Iโm happy for you both. Keep up your videos.
I started watching 29 minutes after you posted. There was60 views.
When I was done, there were over 500!
Thank you, Mike. That's pretty country down that way. That mtn pass is a favorite of mine.
Feed the algorithm!
Thanks man! Yes it is beautiful down that way. Eastern Washington is always awesome as well, I just donโt know if I will ever take the little Kei truck that far, especially the pass would be really really slow ๐คฃ
I like disappointing the coffee snobs, all I drink is instant coffee! So much cleaner and quicker!
More reason to LOVE the Olympic Peninsula for the scenery and adventure!
Gday Mike, was wondering what software you use to edit edit your videos on the iPad?
Absolutely stunning, great stuff, Mike! ๐๐ผ
You are so right about just getting a little alone time. I was with my wife and kids 24/7 aside from work. Never ever got some me time. A few hours or a day or two to clear my head and just unwind. It was very hard on my mental health and probably kept me from being the best dad/husband/human I could have been. But I would have felt too guilty taking time for myself because the way I was raised you put everyone else ahead of yourself. Wish id known how to smell the roses and sip the coffee. So glad to see you taking some time for yourself.
Great video mate makes me want to go out and get one of these little trucks myself!!
Thanks Jack! Definitely great little trucks especially around the property and on tight trails ๐๐
Beautiful country! Fantastic idea to take a day off work, and go camping and fishing!
These videos are the best.
Thanks ๐
You're deep in Squatch country Mike. Great camping hack - get some rubbing alcohol and paper towels for cleaning dishes. Degreases and you don't have to dry because it evaporates. I'm a trucker and have used this for years. Make sure you don't get the medicated type and not the 99% as it evaporates to quickly. If you can only get the 99% just go 50/50 with water. Great content.
Thank you!!
Interesting idea. Don't think I'd use it on cast iron pans though.
@@timothywilliams2021 LOL. Yes. Water.
This Kei truck reminds me a lot of a Suzuki boulevard 650 single motorsickle I have.. It's a fun little ride that gets 50-60mpg,and runs like a top through the gears, but if ya try throwing a passenger on the back seat,or riding above 55 mph it starts screaming for mercy.. While it will hit 70mph you really don't want to ride it that hard as its pinging valves, and screaming for mercy while sucking fuel like a US government off road vehicle does during deployment... ๐ฎ
These are my favorite videos :) thank you!
3rd time catching this video on UA-cam. Happy Trails Mike. โค๐โค
Right on ๐ glad you enjoyed my video!
Mike I'm always jealous of the forests near your home. I'm in DFW and what passes for trees here is laughable. Watching your videos makes me miss back home in East Texas where all the pine trees are huge and all over everywhere
Theres no way you just had a simon and garfunkle, and a salt and peppa image already on your computer. You must have finished the editing at home. ha ha
I just figured it was standard for everyone to have those photos on there computer ๐คฃ haha yes finished editing at home. It usually takes about 10 hours of editing to finish a video.
Great video, Mike! I'm a coffee snob and until recently have been using a great little thermal insulated french press. Now I am using a pour over unit called Big Joe. You can make a cup or a quart with it. Clean up is easier than the French press too as you use a paper filter you can toss in the trash. Made in the US, too!
Besides hitting the like button is to have your viewers watch the video to the very end. Or so I have been told.
Great comment, also coffee filters and contents can be dried and used as fire lighters , interactive algorithm stimulus package comment.๐ฎ
A new Kei Kamper video! Excellent!!
Thanks! ๐
Next time you toss anything savory in a pan, especially mushrooms, try a splash of cooking sherry. If youโre anything like me youโre going to make sure a little bottle ends up in your load out.
Excellent video Mike. Thank you for bringing me along in that beautiful part of our country!
Glad you enjoyed it ๐๐
Theres been some places where the US auto makers are trying to push states to ban these Kei trucks. Mostly because these can be had for a lot less than a regular truck. I know theres more to it, but all some people really need a small utility truck like these and they could be more than happy with one. You've and others have shown what these small trucks are capable of doing. I can't believe some actually make these into drag trucks.
Exactly - I just purchased my first mini truck and glad im in NC which is MINI FRIENDLY
Y'all take note that Mikie likes living large and doesn't cut the heart and seeds from inside his jalapenos... While it may add a lil extra flavor and crunch,it's guaranteed to add a lot of heat on its way out,if ya know what I mean ๐ฅ ๐ฅต ๐ข
Haha ring O fire ๐ฅ ๐คฃ
Wow Mike, that's my little hidden spot! There is an awesome little water fall there too. Way cool, but don't tell people where that spot is, because it's awesome and its quite the gem of a spot I think. :) The biggest thing I wish more people did is pick up after themselves. I have this thing, leave it better than you found it. It's a sad shame that some people have to go up and make a mess. Sad shame. Thanks for being awesome and thanks for the suggestion on the welder.
Thanks for checking out my new video! Yes no worries I always keep the locations to my self, never want to blow out these special places by telling where they are. Thatโs just about as important to me as leaving a campsite cleaner then when I find it ๐๐
We definitely are on the same page. I do wish more people on social media would not give locations to special places. Take care ๐
I always enjoy your videos. No hype, wild antics, or look at me stuff.
They didn't unsubscribe me this week!๐๐๐
How is your mini house coming along?
I like how you pick up your site. I had the unfortunate opportunity to occupy the same general vicinity as a group of blue and pink haired eco-terrorists. The mess they left behind was infuriating. Nothing like being paid to say one thing and doing the opposite.
I'm 65 years old and never would have dreamed of doing anything like that. That belt across your rear usually got your mind right.
Cheers
Terry
Yay. Mike uploaded. I'll watch right when I get home from work.
Love the kei camper. ๐
Great video you have a great weekend my friend and be safe out there
Thanks, you too!
Hey Mike Hope you are doing fine in your life. You're an inspiration for budget friendly Kei Truck lovers. I just wanted to know your Suzuki Carry is a 4X4 660cc. So does it comes front rigid axle Differentials or McPherson Strut suspension. If McPhersons then how is the front differential mounted. The reason I'm asking this in India from where I belong we get a light commercial pickup with a G12BB 1.2 L, 75bhp & 98 Nm of Torque engine by the name Suzuki Super Carry. But unfortunately it doesn't comes in a 4X4 configuration. So we have to mate it with a Suzuki Jimny 2nd Generation Jimny transfer case & gearbox. They are freely available as Indian Army Disposal vehicles. My question is will we have to say goodbyes to the front McPherson Struts in process of adding another front differentials.Or we will have to go with front leaf springs too. Sorry for such a long comment.
Great video. Just disappointed that people still leave their trash and shit behind.
Thanks for checking out my new video! Yes itโs unfortunate thereโs a lot of dirt bags leaving trash out in the woods, but I will do what I can to pack out a bit of it every trip I go on ๐๐
The camper is a great set up, and the cooking looks great, certainly looks like your having a great weekend, ๐ thanks for sharing, all the best to you and your loved ones
Im not a big coffee guy but if i have the urge for some im not heating water or waiting for a coffee maker, i have Folgers instant and Cappachino that works perfect with the 125* water out the sink.
Nothing like breaking away for a couple days, nowhere special to be and cooking on a fire or as you did on a little camp stove. Waking up to nature sure makes me appreciate how lucky i am to live in the country and on 12 acres with the closest house over 1/4 mile away.
I'm a caveman when I go camping. Salt, pepper, steaks, gas stove, and plenty of fluids
I thank that if more people would just relax, like you do everyone would live long and enjoy one another again. Love your videos keep up the work!
Great video Mike. Thanks for sharing your awesome area with us.Happy Trails.
The scenery is picturesque and wild plus the ability to to move around
Only found your channel by chance. I was searching for canopy ideas for my new hijet jumbo. Absolutely love your camping set up. You have me so keen that i am going to take off this Saturday down to Mckillops Bridge in the hijet. Mckillops bridge is in the hills a few hours south down in Victoria Australia. Thanks for the inspiration.
Awesome video. Appreciate all you do. Naturally there will always be some Debbie downers. Love seeing you innovate, review, and show the great outdoors. Keep up the good work.
This makes me realize just how badly I need to do the same thing... I have never done a solo camping trip to be honest, but my Lady likes coming along. Thanks for always being real and cleaning up campsites, I do the same thing. Cheers Mike.
Solo is *great*. A week or two by yourself in the boonies with minimal contact is soul cleansing. Just you, nature, and critters. Highly recommended.
@@TheJohn8765 I get such a small amount of time off work so I usually bring my lady with when I do
Iโd like to build my own mini camper for my Ford Maverick. Iโm not sure what is the best material for the outside skin. Plastic, fiberglass, aluminum?
You always find the most beautiful unique locations! I'd love to do what you do, but unfortunately here in the UK there aren't many spots like these you can freely camp at. In fact, I think it's technically illegal to freely camp in this country! Maybe I'll have to make my way across the pond and make a holiday of it one day, but until then I'll keep enjoying your videos!
Great hanging out with you Mike! My Templar 250X model is doing fantastic, Thanks for the Heads-up On a great little 250 !
Thanks for the inspiration. I need to explore the NW. It'll probably feel like another planet as a person who camps almost exclusively in the desert Southwest.
Hi Mike! Love your content! I have a content idea for you. TransAmerica trail in a key truck! Wild thought but it goes through my backyard so if you make it to the Ozarks I'd be happy to show you the ropes! Anyways, keep doing what you do!
Love to see these type of videos, putting the truck to good use, enjoying it and the adventure. Would like to see what went into building it, what is it coated with. I have a 93 Suzuki carry with dump, 4wd, hi low and diff lock. I use it for trips to the hardware store and rubbish to the tip, but would love to build a similar light weight camper and go on mini adventures too. Out here in Galway Ireland, its damp, windy, rugged and worth escaping to!
Your salvage window did you have to order a clamp ring and cut it down? I can't remember. I have two salvage windows but as you know the clamp rings get destroyed upon removable.
Absolutely wonderful beautiful scenery up there you're blessed to live so close to that stuff coming from flatland Minnesota enjoy your time hey
Always a treat when Mike uploads. Thank You!!
btw what camera do you use? is it a GoPro?
Crossing that washout and continuing on is one of the things that I like about Mikies channel... He is willing to ride beyond,or build beyond where others quit, turn around,or leave off.. I could not have turned back and not crossed that washout and seen what was beyond it...
Also, anytime one comes across a body of water and its covered in flies, mosquitoes, water bugs, etc, and nothing is hitting them then you're wasting you time teying to fish there as there's nothing in there to catch if they aren't hitting live flies... js..
Great to see you getting the K camper back out. Great video man. Enjoyed it.
Can't go wrong with a camping, off roading, fishing and cooking video. Thank you for sharing your road trip.
10/10 as always!
Thanks ๐
im curious how many ah the fridge uses in a 24hr period of standard use. i want to put one in the work van but i think i should add a battery and an isolator. I would appreciate any info on that possibly in the next full tour of the mini camper. long time follower, great content always. Bought a crossfire pro a year ago thanks for the nudge.
Not gonna lie that sandwich look really good not a mushroom ran I'd have sliced onions but I like spice too
Love the Kei camper stuff Mike! Thanks.

Youm ever going to do a Patreon or a tipjar?
Love this video @Mike!!! Always makes my day when one of your videos pops up in my feed! Thankfully I still get notified.
Glad to hear it!
I appreciate you leaving the site cleaner than you found it. It's shocking how little respect some people have.
Love your little camper too. This is the first video of yours I've seen, but I'm going to check more out.
Thanks for checking out my videos! I really appreciate it. Yes I always try to pick up trash when Iโm out camping ๐๐
Youโre One Sasquatch experience away from selling everything!
Great video thanks for sharing
Hi Mike, I really enjoy your videos! I live in Washington aswell over near Puyallup. So we're practically neighbors! Lol
I came across one of your bike reviews last fall and have watched probably every one of them since. I also enjoyed your cross over videos with your brother and watched several of his aswell. Ery cool! You should encourage him to get some more out.
Anyway I really like those Kei trucks, but I'm a bit bigger guy at almost 6 foot tall and 240. I wish someone made a slightly bigger version. But I guess that would loose the whole charm of them.
Anyway, I look forward to your next video! ๐

Hey Mike, we had a light blue Suzuki carry van, it was rounded on top, so I called it the pregnant baked bean on rollerskates, I loved that little van, we camped in her lots of times.
