- Let me show you how to make a rack that can be used to display a quilt, banner or hang a curtain or backdrop for less than $20 in under 10 minutes out of 1" PVC Pipe.
Materials Needed:
2 - 10' lengths of 1" PVC Sched-40 Pipe
Cuts = first pipe 1- 42", 2- 29", 1 - 12"
2nd pipe 1 - 42", 1 - 28", 3 - 12"
4 - 90 deg 1"elbow fittings
6 - 1" Tee Joints
Things you may already own (or maybe borrow) a tool to cut the pipe. (Try asking your home center to make the cuts for you)
PVC Clear Cement - you only need a small amount. Buy the smallest can available or maybe ask a friend or neighbor who might already own the cement if you can use a little.
Top treatments: This is where you can get creative. I recommend 3/4" PVC pipe. a 10" length only costs about $3 and the adaptor joint (If you want to cut the pipe) is about .50 cents.
For telescoping: 1 lenght of 1/2" PVC pipe and two adapter joints. - Навчання та стиль
Great explanation
I love building things out of PVC because it's just that easy. It's like working with grown-up Lego.
+xingcat OMG! I never thought of it that way but you are so right. Grown-up Legos. I have been using it for years. The applications are endless.
PERFECT solution and great directions! Will be just what I need for my Dog Biscuits banner at the Farmer's Market. Thank you for the demo🙂

Have you made one with more bars? I want to hang 4-5 quilts, each on their own bar. More like a ladder.
