Their CP.2 lenses are rehoused ZF.2s. For video, the CP.2s are a better choice but more expensive. They also have a changeable lens mount, so you can adapt them to both your video camera and full frame. They both cover a full frame sensor but the ZFs are easier to use if you are using them for photography.

Are Zeiss lenses still being manufactured today?
Yes but not in Germany as they once were. They are now manufactured in Japan. This new iteration of Zeiss is amazing though and you wouldn't be displeased with their lenses. I used an a mount Zeiss 24-70 f/2.8 for a film once and it worked perfectly.
The high-end cine lenses are still produced in Germany

Thank you for your message! All lenses with PL mount are designed for native PL mount only. If a Compact Prime CP.2 should be used on a Canon EF mount body, we recommend exchanging the mount of this lens to EF with the dedicated ZEISS IMS set with EF-mount.
When using 3rd party adapters to adapt any PL-mount lens to an EF-mount body, we cannot guarantee for the mechanical fit, precision, or any influences on the performance of the lens. Please ask the supplier of the 3rd party adapter for compatibility of his adapter with your PL mount lens. We hope this answers your question. Fuck the shims, if it focuses to infinity and to minimum focus range it goes. Who uses scale on lens on so budget sets like those using CP.2?
