If you looked at the views count 3/28/2020, not one thumbs down!! Once in a lifetime we get to hear a voice like Linda's, count us all blessed !! Thank you Linda.
Linda Ronstadt.... so amazing that even as she was deteriorating from Parkinson's Disease sounds better than almost every singer since her... she is one of a kind.... what a voice.
I love this song. She has Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, PSP, the disease that my husband died from. Most people are misdiagnosed with Parkinson's first because it is a "Parkinsonian" disease. It sucks!
This woman's voice is just a tonic for my soul, especially now and with a song like this. She caresses every note. Robyn Flans, a music journalist of 40 years, just released an excellent print interview with Ms. Ronstadt who granted a no time-limit phone interview. Was so relieved to hear it had taken place only a month ago; Ms. Ronstadt's keen mind, warm wit, and command of all things musical still on display. I was pleased to hear her say that her last album, Adieu False Heart, released in 2006 was one of her best. She said she had no voice left, that she was singing on fumes, but credited her producer for understanding how to present traditional music. She's always crediting someone else. What a legacy she has left us, and thanks to UA-cam, we'll be seeing (and hearing her) in all the old familiar places!
Barbra Streisand, Karen Carpenter, Judy Garland, Celine Dion, Mariah, Donna Summer, Patty Labelle ….. there have been many. But Linda is sure up there on that list…
@@Vanasse1we lived in an era of musicians men and women. Like will never be seen again creator's who, sang, played, produced, wrote, etc. Before technology robbed future generations. There will always be some. But in my lifetime seeing crooners from the 50s,rock,reggae, metal, country rock, we had so much more, and diversity. All performed by artists who picked up real instruments and created alone, together. No computers, no autotune. The real deal. When I was a kid I got to see Beatles, chuckberry,Bobby Darin sinatra, then everything in between to bowie the clash, and incredible voices like Linda's Karen's. The list is endless. Think of all the greats between mid 60s to mid 90s. It will never happen again. There's always going to be some new talent. But those times are over. But we have it all forever now. I'm glad I was able to hear and see many great musical geniuses in my life. 👍💖🤗🎹🎶📻🎸☮️✌️
great singer-musicians--well done--Trinity will provide cure for all diseases -virus--Trinity bless everyone with good safe healthy days--stay safe from hatred and violence
sooo flame me now...HOWEVER...Ronstadt gave it her all until the end of her singing days...but her choice of clothes was questionable in the last dozen or so years of public appearances ...why did she go on stage with that set of whatever she was wearing...idk...she was ageing well and did not need to wear a verrry conservative ensemble such as that...considering her liberal clothing back ground I am well surprised by this choice of clothing and think she could have chose better... Linda will be 78yrs old soon and most probably does not give a crap about her...ensemble back then...it was her incredible voice that carried the day and made all of us fall in love with her...a very nasty disease has stolen her voice from all of us and her family too...prayers for Linda...amen
There will never be anyone like her. A once in a lifetime talent.
She makes every song sound absolutely beautiful...She sings with all her soul...She hits all the low and high notes perfectly ❤️
Beautiful Linda, such heart in her voice 🤍

That's because UA-cam removed the count for thumbs down
Just one of a kind. They threw away the mould after making Linda Ronstadt. Superb throughout all of her long, brilliant career.
I love her voice in this genre and, in every genre.

Timeless. Linda's version is so soothing and moving, her voice is so exquisite and enchanting. Classic. Flawless.
After seeing and hearing this, from now on when I look at the moon I will have "Simple Dreams" of Ms Linda Ronstadt
No one sings like Linda❤
I watched the Liberace Show with my grandmother every week. I love this. It was his theme song. Sigh.
Always one of my favourite songs, I'm just discovering this rendition by Linda. And I like it.
Linda set the bar so high, any chance of another singer even getting close is almost nil !!
I have listened to her 3 standard albums over and over again. I just love her voice singing standards! ❤️❤️😄😄🌈
She sings the rarely heard verse. Bravo. Genius.
she sounds brillant here!!!!
nicely done indeed. thanks for posting.
Beautiful rendition.
Excellent recording!!!!
I love this song makes me cry 😭🥀🌻🇺🇦
Such a world of music!
It's amazing, only Linda and Aretha know what it's like to be the greatest singers ever to grace the earth. I'm glad they were here in my lifetime.

God Bless you Linda ❤
Linda Ronstadt is one of the greatest pop singers that has ever lived. I'm talkin' Sinatra, Bennett, Crosby, Streisand, McCartney, etc, etc, etc...
I think she still sounds lovely, here! She described that around 2000 she started to lose her ability due to her health. Her last show was 2009.
🌺
Her voice must have deteriorated quickly after this. She sounds excellent here.
Jeff Wynn was the very last note slightly off?

Linda Ronstadt is to women vocalists as Frank Sinatra is to men!
