I've already been so often in Prague, but it's never enough. So, guess what, I'll be back in Prague in about 2 1/2 weeks from now on! Hardly can't wait!
@@andriuspetkuz7992 Absolutely, no comparison. The only 2 things that made impression in Paris were the absolute crazy huge size of Eiffel Tower and the sheer fucking size of Versailles garden/park. Mind boggling. So much beautiful architecture in Paris, but Prague still wins for me. Definitely helps that I'm a Slovak, so I feel almost like a local.
This weekend we booked our long delayed trip to Prague. We will be there in early September. I can't wait. I have my copy of the Honest Guide book and am ready to go!
I saw a traditional performance (19th Century style) of Faust as a marionette play by the troupe Handa Gote in one the rooms of the Colloredo-Mansfeld paalce. A magical and spooky night. Thanks Janek!
Again as an update, the points program was only for 2 brief months and the program has been discontinued in September 2021. In 2023, the tickets for the National Museum are 280 CZK or 180 CZK per adult (free for kids under 15), if want to include the children's museum then the ticket is 370/270 CZK per adult and kids under 15 it's 120 CZK. The reduced prices are for seniors, juveniles etc.
Visited Prague 3 or 4 yrs ago was the highlight of our Europe trip. We travelled from Melbourne, Australia and Prague was our last stop before heading home was there 3 days wanted to stay longer. Would have been there even longer if your videos where around then!! so many interesting places in your videos and the traps to avoid !!! So wonderful to see more of your city from here . Next European visit for the family we will make Prague a must visit again keep it coming @Honest_Guide
Been twice to Prague and each time I binge watched Janek`s videos , I was travelling with someone who was amazed at how much I knew ;-) which of course is thanks only to the videos . Thanks Janek and Honest Guide, you should be head of Tourism ! .
I visited Vrtba garden with my mother back in 2018... by chance, of course! We were all by ourselves, except for a couple that were having dinner on the little terrace at the top of the stairway. Wonderful place. You can also spot this garden in the movie "The Catcher Was A Spy", where it's a stand-in for some Roman garden (Vatican gardens, I think), with St. Peter's Basilica digitally added in the background. The following scene is set in the "Vatican library", which again turns out to be the Strahov library.
Quick question: Did you watch the Czech Republic vs Denmark Quarter-Final match? Even though I'm English, I'm proud that Czech Republic made it further than World Champions France, European Champions Portugal, and Germany
We will have 6 nights in Prague in the second half of August. We booked the hotel not knowing about this program but found out about it from your previous video, the one with the tram, and have had a very nice surprise to see that our hotel is listed as a partner for the program. Now I am looking on the website and trying to make some notes of what to visit 🙂 If I find you in Prague during the visit, one beer is on me 😉
OMG 😍🤗 we had our Wedding pictures in that amazing garden! And we didn't knew that it is the second most beautiful place in Europe🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 Thank you guys for your videos!!! Learning a lot about Prague and new places for our next visit 😉
Second of category "Best restoration..." in 2019/2020, not in absolute terms. It is another link of Prague with italian artistic past. A well preserved one. As Colleredo Mansfeld Palace and so on...A good example of european union of....beauty!
The entry fees must be fairly high in those places - would be nice to know how much we could save! The tourism board should also consider 2-for-1s, 5-for-49€ etc...
Janek/Honza, thanks the videos. Since my daughter and I will be there in May 2022, I subscribed and watched a majority of your videos, which are very educational . Thanks again
There is so much to see, so much to do and visit in beautiful Prague, that I don't even remember what you show us thru the previous videos, it's hard to remember all, and I must watching them again 😂 Greatings from Serbia, Czech brothers 🇷🇸🤝🇨🇿
I am so happy with this episode! I had asked you to show the terrace garden before because I visited when stayed in Prague and think it's the most beautifull in the city. I have a wonderfull photo there. 👍👍👍📸📸
Hope to be back there in the last weekend of August! Fell in love when I was there in 2018. My now husband and I visited the Colloredo-Mansfeld Palace then, thanks to you! Checked the website now, the hotel we're planning to stay at is participating! :D
Today I saw u at Charles Bridge, u were shooting or making video, I watched all ur vlog and it’s amazing thanks for ur information., tomorrow is my last day in Prague, Prague is very beautiful city. N I Love Czech people, bcz they r very Supportive for Tibetan issues .
P.S., you are very personable and charismatic, able to connect with viewers through the camera lens, in addition to being helpful in so many ways. I hope you have a long, happy, and prosperous career.
Janek, you show some wonderful places here, However I find the relentless pounding music to be totally at odds with all the beauty I am looking at in the video. Please, how about something more gentle and in keeping with the sights (sitesI?! BTW, I can't wait to visit the Colloredo-Mansfeld Palace which I didn't know was open to tourists.
Two weeks ago, when our boys first talked about Prague Unlocked, I said it was an amazing idea and then got weird angry response from another viewer saying that it was a "waste of money" and "a way for a few government workers to legitimize their salaries". I tried to reason with that person but, it was pointless. I still think that the Prague Unlocked thing is a good idea. The few tourism money are going to be hard to get back for maybe a year-year and half (especially since the tourism season is kind of only starting now). Also, for example of the hardship to come, the airline I work for has removed the Montreal-Prague flights from it's website. We were doing the route twice a week. I'm still waiting for an answer for the long term plans from my airline but, one thing for sure, we will not start flying again to PRG until the Summer of 2022... if ever... 😭
Can you, please, tell what do you need to visit Czech Republic from a country with a very high risk of covid infection (Ukraine), if you`re vaccinated? Cause some sources saying that anyway you`ll need covid test before you enter the country, another test after you`ll enter the country and self isolation before the second test results, but some sources saying that you won`t need this if you`re vaccinated.
Would love to visit but: Entry to the Czech Republic You are only allowed to enter the Czech Republic for essential reasons, such as for medical treatment or attending a funeral, or if you hold residency or a valid long-term visa for the Czech Republic. Entry for tourism is not permitted.
Could you please make video about variety places to eat traditional food and as well more fancy places, but fair prices as well? We will visit Praque soon on special occasion. And really static about your chanel. Would love to buy book to support you lovely people.

yep there are hundreds of cases where some famous movie showcases our Capital but pretending like its some western EU place
Another great episode! Thank you for showing us Colloredo-Mansfeld Palace and Vrtba Garden. Beautiful!

This museum was the final scene of Mafia #1 videogame...

Can you go to these places without the points, paying instead?

I stayed a few months in Praha.
Too bad they did not have you at the time.
