I love how self deprecating David is. He's so down to earth and also hilarious. Someone you would love to hang out with and you know there will be lots of laughter.
JE Y “Hehe. Hi. Excuse me. Two seconds here. Um, I’m the one in the cart, remember? This story’s about me. Not him. Got it? Okay. We’re gonna move ahead. Sorry to spoil it for you.”
David Spade has become my favorite entertainer. Lots of people are funny if they have time to sit down and write material but he is just naturally funny and comes up with great lines off the top of his head. Even if the line isn't funny on paper just his whole demeanor and delivery of it make it funny. Just got back from seeing his talk show live in Hollywood and it was cool to see him up close and how the show runs behind the scenes. Definitely go if ever in Hollywood. It's free so the price is right.
it‘s not that I *could* listen to david for hours telling stories... *I actually do* on yt or wherever I find content of him. he is always hilarious...
Surely at that time it was an accurate assessment of Eddie’s career, and I love Eddie Murphy. After Beverly Hills Cop 3 it was pretty much all downhill. Minor blip for Nutty Professor, then back to sucking.
@@BenDover-wc8jr the so called down time of his career still outweighs any time of David's outside of hanging tough with Chris Farley, you'll never see Lorne okaying any joke in regards to Dan or Chevy no longer being hot on the scene tho...
Leelo Haskin “So called?” Big fan of Metro, are you? Own a copy of Bowfinger? How many times did you go see Daddy Day Care in theaters? I rest my case.
I'm not from the US but where I lived I remember making jokes with colleagues about the corona virus when the first case was reported in our country. The following Monday my workplace closed down. Everyone was just staring at each other like "ah, okay, I see"
@@littlemissmello indeed. very few in my company took it seriously and same - suddenly the office was closed and I have been working from home since... probably will be for months from now too.
He was on an episode of Ellen and the interview was sooo funny. Ellen was in tears. He was talking about going to ellens bday party i think. Try and find it. So funny.
David Spade.... Awesome.... David Spade making commentaries about the Bachelor/ Bachelorette freaking AMAZING!!! I have never seen the show, but just hearing him talk about it brings a smile to my face. HAHA
Yeah, it was around 1995 when Eddie’s movie career wasn’t going so well. Spade was on weekend update and showed a picture of Murphy and said “look kids, a falling star. Make a wish.” Murphy was pissed and called Spade at work on Monday to yell at him. He was mad about it for a long time.
He should be mostly known for his story telling with sound effects. It's not something new; watch his old standup. Loaded with spot-on sound effects. LOVE HIM.
I'm so glad Eddie Murphy and David Spade patched things up 30 years later..The amazing part was Eddie reached out to David and gave him a hug. Way to go!!
Love David so much, funniest guy around, I'm still coming back four years later to hear him ask, "how many times a day are you supposed to touch your face?"
"Next week with no laughs", oh yeah, _literally_ almost. I watch Lights Out all the time, it's hilarious, it'll be a little _different_ without an audience, but four comics in a room, making jokes about goofy stuff, is funny with or without an audience.
And For those who don’t know ...at the time when Eddy’s films weren’t doing so well David joked by showing Eddy’s pic and said “ make a wish wish kids here is a falling star “
The Bachelor is garbage tv, but somehow when David Spade tells stories about it it seems like the greatest show on earth. Dang he's good! You can tell Kimmel is really enjoying himself too, it's fun to see them genuinely laughing at eachothers' asides & jokes.
Immediately searched for this clip when I saw it advertised on Instagram. David Spade is one my favorite comedians since his stint at SNL. Having said that, my fantasy Lights Out panel would include Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers talking shop about pop-culture while wearing surgical masks. "give some to kitty :meow:" lmao
One intern in the audience with a boombox cued up to an applause track, and one cued up to a laugh track.. audience problem solved. Worked in the 50's.
New Message The fake sounds will fool the home audience but not the guests. A standup comic needs to interact with a live audience to give his act flow. Without any feedback a comic is lost - the only thing worse that dead crowd is no crowd at all.
30 years for Murphy to bury the hatchet for a joke made on a show where they have consistently since day one made fun of people (especially on the weekend update). Talk about ridiculous.
I think him taking it so personal was silly, since he was a super rich superstar comedian he should've been able to take a joke lol. But on the other hand does SNL make a habit of dissing their alumni? I can't recall any other instance...plus keep in mind he is the biggest star ever from that show and he saved the show when he was on it. But the MOST ridiculous thing is you thinking Eddie spent 30 years thinking about David Spade lol.
Gerald Boney I couldn’t care less if he saved the show and I would debate you on biggest star from the show (Adam Sandler, Will Ferrel) but I do love Eddies movies, especially the older ones. No, I don’t think he thought about David Spade for 30 years, but it’s Hollywood. David has been asked about this for 30 years now on every talk show and shows like Howard Stern etc. You don’t think anyone eve brought it to to Eddie? No agents, friends, etc? Hell, Chris Rock is friends with both of them. My point is, Eddie was surely aware when this was brought up from time to time, and could have put it to bed 25 years ago...
All David Spade interviews are must watch. He's so hilarious.
I was only here for David spade! Jimmy Kimmel is boring and has the fakest laughs
if only his movies were as funny as he really is😅
Like when he told Howard Stern that Chris Farley jizzed all over a Playboy that had the girl he was dating? That's the funniest story he's told!
javier montoya where can I find it? I looked and didn’t find this clip. Thanks!
@Hate Monger I can't imagine the outcome was pleasant
David Spade could have a career solely based on him appearing on other talk shows. The man is the best guest. Always hilarious.
Agree.
He's a great story teller.
Right. Reminiscent of those 70s 80s guests who you never saw anything but when they were on we never questioned "why are they here?"
THE BEST GUEST. YES!
He’s no Norm.
He’s such a great story teller. I would watch/listen to him talk just about anything, and it would make me really happy.
"And then she's like, you know, 'Are you a girl?'"
Every comment here is about how great David Spade is. Including this one.
David can really tell the best stories while making the best side jab jokes. Love him
I love how self deprecating David is. He's so down to earth and also hilarious. Someone you would love to hang out with and you know there will be lots of laughter.
He must be the most under rated comic - he is SO natural - I could watch him for hours and hours talk about nothing - just so quick and witty.
He is definitely underrated genius, so quick on his feet
i LOLed and i haven't even seen The Bachelor once in my life 😂
this mans comedic timing is amazing
Spade telling a story is all of us when we are on that momentum of being the funniest in the room

I see David Spade in an interveiw - I click on it.
Spade is the god damn best, man. I feel compelled to express this on every interview that I’m grateful to watch of his

The rare one week period where everyone knew about covid but it wasn’t political.
David Spade is as entertaining as ever.
The joke was “Oh look children, it’s a falling star” while a picture of Eddie Murphy was displayed. This was when spade hosted weekend update on SNL.

In case anyone doesn’t know the famous joke he did on Eddie Murphy. He said: ‘’Look its a fallen star’’.
