I took it for 6 years without any side effects. I only had the feeling that it slowed down beard development. I stopped taking it a few years ago and I am pleased with my beard now so I will start taking it again. Take 1.25mg every second day and you'll be fine.
I find finasteride not only to be a follicly stabilising drug, but I've also found it to be a psychologically stabilising drug. I think when you're worrying about hair loss, it feels out of your control. I find taking finasteride and minoxidil gives me an element of control over my situation, which without causes anxiety and distress. I think there are many young vulnerable men, particularly when they're in their late teens/early 20s, who find hair loss very difficult. With their hair, goes their confidence, their self esteem, their youth and their virility. A non-hair loss sufferer just wouldn't know how bad it can be.
Andrew Moss agree. It gets to me when dudes with no hair loss say it wouldn’t bother them, etc. How would they know? It did bother me mildly but I got into finasteride and 2 HT’s in my early 30’s and it improved my quality of life tremendously. Hair shouldn’t be important but it is.
I absolutely agree with this. A lot of people say that finasteride gave them depression... well, for me the opposite is true. If I wouldn’t be on finasteride and I would have to see my hair loss get progressively worse, I most certainly would be depressed loo
Omg you understand it to a T. My hair line has got worse since last year!! I’m 19 btw and I’ve had so many full on break downs cause of this crap , life really doesn’t give a fuck
I only started 3-4 weeks ago and was really worried about the side effects but the only thing I experienced not to be too personal was adding more water to my seaman so a larger quantity but more dilute. For me it's still too early to start seeing any new hair growth though.
@Gustave Viking Finasteride significantly slows down the process and in some cases prevents you from balding any further. if you want to regrowth your hair you would need to take minoxidil solution/ hair regrowth laser/ derma roller/ - you should look up how to properly use each of these before you start using them to prevent side effects
@Gustave Viking Theirs a number of study's you can find online some showing decent regrowth. www.holdthehairline.com/does-propecia-work/ (just the first link i found) and number of people with side effects around 2%. I also started using minoxidil and dermarola or derma pen more recently , using caffeine shampoo and exfoliating shampoo and have been seriously considering getting a FUE hair transplant in Turkey. A transplant is suppose to be the most effective but you only have so many hairs to transplant and it's expensive. I think out of non surgical options finastride and other DHT blockers are most effective then probably either dermarola/pen or topical minoxidal though they can't be used within 24 hours of each other to avoid minoxidil getting into your blood stream then caffeine shampoo lazer therapy weaker heba DHT blockers like green tea.
I've been taking finasteride 1 mg per day for 7 months now. I got all my hair back with NO side effects at all. I started getting results about 2 months later. Finasteride is the holy grail.
@@joffrey1200 finasteride does not really work well for temples.. it works best on the crown. So his hairloss is most likely mostly in the crown area. AND you need to wait atleast 3 months to see some results. You will shed one month in or so.. and then when the hair starts a new growth cycle, THAT'S when it starts working on top of the head.. not really in temples.. Most people don't see much results in temples from finasteride or any drug.
@Hairliciously My girlfriend works for a doctor's surgery. She told me that they prescribe propecia to over 600 men and none have reported any real side effects despite many having been on for 30 years plus. It may lose effectiveness over time but didn't induce the side effects talked about here. That is what motivated my decision to use it.
Been using finasteride along with minox since the end of 2016, no visible improvements nor sides. Probably just slowing down hair loss, but not stopping at least for me.
@@Fd20y Well, Finasteride is more about preventing future hair loss, not restoring what you have lost years ago. As well as minoxodill the only hair it can restore is hair that you have just recently lost say 12-16 months.
Nashville I use them daily mate I have done for 4 years but just looking for that bit extra. Now I’m on finasteride at least I won’t lose any more hair I guess
Perfectly valid reason to stop taking the drug. It’s one of the reasons I waited to start taking it. I’m 34 now and my wife and I had our first child two years ago. Debated about a second and decided against it. Adoption is a better option. Good luck with the efforts and let us know when you guys succeed! -DJ
Cool! I have an appointment with my doctor this Thursday afternoon. I was so sceptical about finasteride due to what I read initially about the side effects etc, but once I looked into these so called side effects, they appeared to seem extremely rare. It also seems like fin has better results then minoxidil and you take it as a pill rather then rubbing liquid on your head forever twice a day.
Clearly you didn’t do enough research the side effects are very high especially in younger men who’a bodies have naturally high DHT levels. This drug makes permanent changes to the Crain even after one pill it can causes devastating consequences and that’s a fact you need to do more digging to understand the lives that have been wrecked my this so called safe even in small quantities people trying to micro dose.
@@MILTFTRUE11 Can you link those studies? Only papers that I read showed side-effects to occur marginally more often than in control groups (~1.5%). Asking this because I'm young myself and have been taking for 4 years now
Just FYI.. I take 5mg Finasteride 5 times a week and one 0.5 mg Tablet of Dutasteride once a week. I conceived two healthy children (1 boy and 1 girl) while on these drugs with no problem. I was worried about the potential for developmental issues too, however, I think the biggest key is to be careful AFTER conception. So after my wife's ovulation period we would use condoms for the duration of her pregnancy. No problems whatsoever and I have two healthy children. My wife got pregnant very quickly both times with no issues.
@@snarefreak4761 How did you get the scrips for 5mg Finasteride and Dutasteride? Hair surgeon? I'd love to know why .25mg Fin can destroy some guys libido and other guys can handle 5mg with no effects. I wish there was a test you could take before to determine if it was safe for you. There is no doubt that Dutasteride can grow hair back better than finasteride. I wonder why they aren't approving it's use for hair loss since it's been around for so long now.
@@zeethree try 0.5 mg per day first. It's been working for me with no side effects. I take 1 mg per day. Been on it for 7 months now, I got ALL my hair back. I couldn't be happier. Also I'm having a lot of sex, pretty good down there.
Ashely and Martin hair regrowth clinic - also recommend that you stop Finasteride prior conceiving a child, I think it was for two months before conceiving
They say you don’t need to take 1mg/day You can take 3 mg a week according to some doctors because that’s enough to keep it in the skin not the blood. After long term use it’s definitely a good idea to take a small break because it builds up in the system and there will be no hair loss for about a year.
@Einsatzgruppen B you realize that none of the things you mentioned have ever happened, in the millions of babies conceived accidentally while the father was on finasteride? Millions and it’s never happened but you have the audacity to spread fear like this. I’m not saying you are wrong or that people shouldn’t come off before conceiving but Jeeze dude. No need to be like this.
I think you’ll be fine as your hair loss really doesn’t seem aggressive at all. It’s kinda a worry of mine if I end up having a child in the future, like there’s no way of knowing how much hair finasteride has saved so I guess the longer your on it the worse it could be if you stop 😩although I do know someone who was on it for 13yrs and stopped for this reason and they said they only lost a very small amount.. kinda unpredictable.
Absolutely. I am just not comfortable with the theoretical risks finasteride may have when conceiving. Heck, women already have enough complications and risks just by being pregnant, so I really don't want to add to any of that. Family comes first, hair comes after that.
It will fall at the same rate as before you started fin it won't fall faster . If you want to stop an regrow hair apply vodka with smashed beta sitosterol pills mixed together. The vodka makes your skin absorb better increase blood flow and the beta sitosterol will inhibit 5 AlphaR meaning dht won't attack your scalp free bbn of side effects I'm not a doctor by the way but you are welcome do it for 2 days and you'll thank me. I'll be waiting your reply
It lasts months in the scalp after you stop taking it and it has left your system itself. So there’s no need to stress so much about this. You won’t even start loosing hair until 3-6 months of being off of it. You can literally safely come off, conceive a child after two months, get back on after three months, and not loose a step.
Thank you for your Videos! Are you going to go back on Minoxidil during this phase of your life while you are off Finasteride? And will you ever go back on Finasteride once the pregnancies are over? Thanks again for all your videos and information you shared! All the best!
Honestly man, only listen to your doctor, youtubers and comments on youtube videos are Not reliable. You will only know how it affects you once you take it.
A drug has been recently approved by the FDA to combat post-partum depression (caused by a decrease in the levels of brexanolone, also known as allopregnanolone). Since Finasteride decreases this hormone, I think it would be interesting to take both at the same time. Please, let me know what you think
I am on my 3rd month in Finasteride. Luckily I do not have side effects. But what makes me really depressed is that hair is continuously thinning unlike before taking Fin. I keep on shedding. Is this normal? I am losing hope. Sometimes I think of not taking the drug in the first place.
I personally take 5 mg of Finasteride every day and have never suffered any side effects. So I personally love the drug. But I didn't hear that it may potentially cause neuro-degenerative effects, so thanks for that info. I'll google that. My barber recommended a shampoo called Nioxin, which is supposed to prevent hair loss. Does anyone else use this shampoo? Do any of you find it effective?

It’s strange but I’ve been take fin now for 25 years. My hairline has Receded a bit but out of all my male relatives, I’m the only one with hair. However at 45 I’m starting to forge or recall my clients names. Not sure if it’s a sign Or if fin is related... but good to know!
Hey hairliciously great vids man ! I have a question. Do you think HTs are permanent ? Do they thin out over time ? Thanks in advance great info on your channel !!
ANDREW Tucci Hair transplants are permanent only in the area the surgery was performed on as far as I know. The front hairline is fine but the issue is that as male pattern baldness advances, the area behind the hairline starts losing hair. This is why young men are dissuaded to do hair transplants too early.
Somebody Alex Hair Regrow why is that my hair is still receding eventhough i take finasteride? Is having acid reflux cannot absorb the benefits of fin?
Make your own finasteride using Stemoxydine and apply topically if you get sides. And if it persists, try lowering the dose until you hit the sweet spot.
For your 2nd hair transplant, are you having it done in Korea again? I’m currently looking for a FUE doctor. Korea seems more reputable than Turkey for HTs. Or I’ll do SMP because I have diffuse loss. Not sure yet. Also, your face looks vibrant and fresh.
Handsome man! Nice hair I'm 32 took fern couple years ago got all the bad side effects lucky you didnt..I jus took it for 7 months an didn't do nothing 😤😞
I'm on topical now and hopefully it'll work out better than ingestion. Saturating my entire body in 5ar2 blacker drug just to have some in my scalp just doesn't work out for me.
Sugar is linked to cancer too. There's studies that will suggest that bananas are linked to cancer. It's just the normal crap that gets put out by research studies. We all drink alcohol, we all eat junk food, most people bang cocaine at the weekend. There are risks to everything, even crossing the road! People need to just get on with things and enjoy life without being paranoid hypochondriacs. Ps. 1 year on propecia and in the best shape of my life. Big gains in the gym thanks to the increase in circulating levels of testosterone in my body that Fin has given me. Definitely comes in handy being a 40 something.
@@PST101 I am a pharmacist and part time researcher at a facility in scandinavia. The specific study i mention compared men that took propecia and people who didn't and then throughout the years combined the results and the end result was that it lead to a 44% increased (keyword) chance of getting breast cancer. The study was made in scandinavia too. I had light shed on this study when i was borderlining taking this but the doctor mentioned the chance of breast cancer. Link to study: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5773955/ Edit: Finasteride does not lead to increased levels of testosterone since it only inhibits the DHT level and has no effect on your testosterone level in your body
@@hardizengana as stated earlier. there are loads of studies out there that suggest an increased 'chance' of cancer. Meat eating, toothpaste, milk. A lot of this stuff has to be taken with a pinch of salt. 'Chance' and 'proven' are different things. There are millions of people taking Finasteride. Where are all the Fin-Cancer victims? And yes, Fin does lead to more 'circulating levels' (keywords) of testosterone in the body. It does not increase the 'total' level of testosterone produced, but because the testosterone that is produced is no longer being converted into DHT at the same level as before, there is therefore more of it circulating the body. This is very well documented. I also have my levels checked regularly, and my testosterone has regularly been around 10% higher since taking Finasteride. Ps. I've read the study you linked to. Straight after I took my daily dose of Finasteride. Take it or leave it. The choice is everybody's own to make. I wish you well.
@@PST101 Well i just gave you the study on the Fin-Cancer victims so idk what your question is? The rate of cancer was increased and the number of people that were in the study were a significant amount so no it cannot be taken with a "pinch of salt". That's just blatantly overlooking the facts. And no DHT is just testosterone so the the conversion does not change it. It can be looked at as a name label conversion. The circulating levels do not increase. You do what you do man, i'm not here to discourage you. I just want to inform people on the matter since i am a pharmacist myself. The choise is yours. I'm at a very young age myself and have concidered taking finasteride because it can stop the little form of hairloss i have. But since DHT is still a very poorly researched hormone, we don't really know all of it's effects on our mental health and other factors inside our body. So i personally want to refrain from taking it because blocking out a hormone completely out of your body is a very drastic measure. Have a nice day!
@lolcano234 Exactly, finasteride isn't a "specific drug" which is a medical term for that it inhibits type 3 and basically any 5a-reductase it can bind to

Enlarged prostates typically occur in older men, and since the drug has been prescribed since 1993, there has been plenty of time to see whether the drug caused any type of mental issue as one ages. To say there has been no evidence that it is safe in that aspect is the same as saying no one's been looking and doctors have not been following up, which I think is unlikely.

@lolcano234 I am quoting "So Finasteride blocks 5a synthesis and all the effects are as well documented. Research now shows that in a dose dependent manner it blocks the 5b synthesis. Now this process has significant effects on sexual behaviour and brain activity, not least through 5b progesterone synthesis and it’s metabolates. Personally I began on 1mg for 2 years and had all the side effects recorded: reduced watery ejaculate, reduced desire, reduced feelings, no dreams, dry eyes, etc (note 5b very important here). These reduced after 13 months, exactly as others see and was shown in tests. Hair grew remarkably, by as much as 30% by year 2, even to a full fringe (little benefit at 6 months, just steady increase to year end then big gain in 2nd year). So I accepted side effects. In year 3 Doctor gave me the full 5B report and I dropped to 0.5mg per day. It’s now Year 6. I have NO side effects at all and actually gained even more hair since year 2. The biggest changes have been in eyes (dryness eliminated and prescription actually improved from R-2.75 L-3.75 to R-2.25 L-3.50), sexual desire and mood (including regular dreams). Erectile performance and orgasm actually very good, would suggest higher than before start on Fin, driven by +12% Testosterone and +10% Estradiol compared to pre-Fin start (Doctor has done pre and post blood tests and one every 12 months). I can only speak from.experience. The article on Finasterides true working methods and impact in 5B Reductase can be found here….then Google the impact of 5B suppression and you will recognise I’m sure the effects… www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2740403/
@lolcano234 It was just quote from another guy. I have been taking fin for 3 months only, 0.25mg, I have only sexual side effect but still can have sex just slightly less sex drive and less semen. I think fin was not supposed to affect 5b-r at all? Also I read some other articles saying that finasteride may have some unwanted effects where dosage may be key, they tested it on rats and it caused scar tissue in penis and prostate with high enough dosage which led to permanent impotence/atrophy of penis. So I would say the less fin you take the better. Also read doctors saying that they have patients with that penis condition when the penis is misshaped due to scar tissue and they relate it to fin, but no research has been made so it's not proven.
My quick finasteride experience for those who are looking for info. Noticed my hairline receding early 20s, a few years later started finasteride with only minor temporal recession. Now at 30 I have only experienced a little further recession and the rest of my hair has thickened considerably. I introduced nizoral but no other topical treatment. I believe if I had never taken finasteride I would have significantly worse hair loss right now and I am largely thought to have a 'full head of hair' by those around me. I HAVE experienced side effects, but these have not disrupted my life. I have a reduced sex drive compared to before I started but this only seems to reduce instances of my mind wandering during every day activities. During the deed it doesn't impact me at all. In fact I find I am generally less distracted by sex which can be a blessing in some situations. Overall I recommend it for those concerned with hair loss. If my hairloss remains steady for the next 5 years I'll get a hair transplant
I've been on it for a month now and haven't noticed any changes. But I'm not focusing or looking for anything. Will keep it in the back of my head in case something pops up. Definitely makes sense to stop if you are trying to conceive though. Congrats :)

I wanted to start when I was younger, but my mom said no way because it is not possible to stop hair loss. My confidence is totally gone now because when I am wearing a hat people treat me completely differently and say I look so much younger. I wanted to have a family, but don't feel like I will ever achieve that looking the way that I do. Girls used to give me a lot of attention and now I feel invisible to them. I have been suffering from depression and every time the wind blows I worry about the way that I look. The effect on my life has been enormous. I am afraid to apply for jobs, take classes or even try to make new friends. Going out in the rain or swimming are like nightmare scenarios for me. @dennisestrada75 I've actually heard of that ingredient from somewhere, but the shampoo I use just claims to have less harsh chemicals than what you get in your day to day stuff but is marketed for hair loss tbh. I don't thin minoxidil is for me it's to much messing around everyday before and after bed, I've heard that people also shed of that before it starts to show and that isn't something I want. Also when you stop taking it the hair falls out and i can only imagine the horror if you shed even more hair from when you stopped using it to when you started if you get what I mean.
I took Finasteride for 3 month then stopped...5 days later my ear was ringing (tinnitus)...Fell in depression...It has been 5month with this horrible condition
I used it for over 6 years and stopped 8 years ago. It worked great but decided to stop for fear not of the subtle side effects that I experienced, totally workable but in fear of long term consequences. I made a video of it on my channel and I do admit that it affected the quality of my erections but I addressed it with viagra. The symptoms all went AWAY when I stopped btw. I just subscribed to your channel. Keep up the good work.
Ben j honestly to each their own. My results were amazing and a little Viagra did the work haha but as you say, nothing is worth the potential long term side effects. Remember, this drug has only been around for 20 something years, who knows longer term stuff. I hate to push my channel but if you can check it out. I have a video about my experience but it is in Spanish, maybe you can see it with subtitles.
Been taking 0.5 daily for two Year. I'm 24, go to gym everyday and have a good diet. I feel asexual, like a cloud over my head. I just don't really feel 'present'. Do your own research.
We have 5 alpha reductase inhibitors, minoxidil which is a vasodilator, microneedling/dermal rolling, good DHT blocking shampoos and supplements, etc. There's a bunch and you need to find out what works for you and what doesn't. And then, there are hair transplants.
That's something I always worry, having children. In my case, if I stopped Finastride I'd lose a good amount of hair and I honestly don't have a good solution for that. How many months are you stopping finastride?
Vinny Booboo it is transplanted, but you will continue to lose hair where you still have hair. Unless you had your whole head transplanted but chances are he only transplanted certain areas, thus the other areas where there is still natural hair will be mpb prone

You might not like my up and coming upload but hey we all have different opinions so it’s cool

I have been taking finasteride for 10 years and I haven't been adversely affected by it at all
I only started 3-4 weeks ago and was really worried about the side effects but the only thing I experienced not to be too personal was adding more water to my seaman so a larger quantity but more dilute.
@Gustave Viking
Theirs a number of study's you can find online some showing decent regrowth.

and number of people with side effects around 2%.
I also started using minoxidil and dermarola or derma pen more recently ,
using caffeine shampoo and exfoliating shampoo and have been seriously considering getting a FUE hair transplant in Turkey.

Cool! I have an appointment with my doctor this Thursday afternoon. I was so sceptical about finasteride due to what I read initially about the side effects etc, but once I looked into these so called side effects, they appeared to seem extremely rare. It also seems like fin has better results then minoxidil and you take it as a pill rather then rubbing liquid on your head forever twice a day.
yup, good luck man!

You can take 3 mg a week according to some doctors because that’s enough to keep it in the skin not the blood. After long term use it’s definitely a good idea to take a small break because it builds up in the system and there will be no hair loss for about a year.

Why is no one mentioning the fact that finasteride is linked to breastcancer in men in a study made in 2017 (link can be provided)?

Edit: Finasteride does not lead to increased levels of testosterone since it only inhibits the DHT level and has no effect on your testosterone level in your body
Have you taken a look at stem cell Scalp injections? There has started to be a lot of promising research on this. It’s also something I’m not seeing a lot on youtube
Im usic generic finasteride
And i cut it for 4 parts
And they are not equal because i cut it with a rasor blade , so everyday i take a slightly different dose from the previous day, is that make any lack of effectiveness? Im on finasteride for maybe 3 months and i see no results and the roots of the hair are even thinner than the top whats going on ? Please answer me thats making me so frustrated
how is things now?
Use tablet cutter
Ive actually checked my dht and seems like it aint that high. Does that mean ill experience sides taking fin ?
No but you have a baseline to refer to in the case of side effects
Enlarged prostates typically occur in older men, and since the drug has been prescribed since 1993, there has been plenty of time to see whether the drug caused any type of mental issue as one ages. To say there has been no evidence that it is safe in that aspect is the same as saying no one's been looking and doctors have not been following up, which I think is unlikely.
Lookin good with the stache and pinch bro! I wouldn't take the chance on my offspring either, I think it's the best decision.
Have you looked at Nutrafol? My surgeon recommended I take it while I am still relatively young.
I took it for about 7 months and had no improvement, in fact it seems worse. I'm on my last bottle, hopefully it works for others.
I haven't seen the update yet on what natural supplement you are using is it that sea plant from Japan?
Finesteride made me "shoot blanks". Weirdest thing ever. So I read up on side effects and stopped taking it. My great hair growth now all gone. That was a tough choice to make. Hair v.s dry orgasms 😣😒 I'm now bald as hell.
Don't have any of those problems
@@Antoniodagreat Lucky you. I just started back the fight. But am sticking to dermapenning and minoxidil.
Minoxidil I thought it sheds your hair faster
@@Antoniodagreat Lots of treatments shed your hair before growing it. Low level laser also causes shedding before growth. Its oart of the follicle regeneration. So far I'm seeing new growth after 2 weeks already by combining dermapen and minoxidil
@@K9Trixx let me know if you see any growth I'm thinking about letting finasteride go and just stick with minoxidil and biotin I'm scared of getting gyno
Women have a real treatment for every cosmetic issue under the sun. Men have one issue, androgenic alopecia, and no ones figured out a real treatment lool
have you hears about hair metto though? that seems to be an effective natural product. seen a guy on youtube having great results
Dude propecia and finastride are the same right?
Propecia is the comercial name for finasteride 1mg .
Proscar is the comercial name for finasteride 5mg.
Propecia and proscar are manufactured by the pharmaceutical company Merck Sharp & Dohme which had the patent of the product. Today there are generic drugs. In short, finasteride is the active ingredient and propecia is the brand name.
But Ive taken fin for 2 weeks and I have had absolutely 0 side effects! Therefore it is safe!!!11
lol
For you maybe
I had zero side effects but I’m not sure if it works, my hairline is still receding
I am in the (probably) 0.1% of guys who get gyno from it. I still have it 1 year later after stopping fin, but it's not as severe. Great drug, but not for me. I still have gyno and wish I never took it. hair isn't worth gyno... I've recently been working out a lot and the gyno is unsightly.
Maybe you should guys experiment with lower dosage, like 0.25mg, even every other day gives you something. Maybe a diet too.
@lolcano234 I am quoting
"So Finasteride blocks 5a synthesis and all the effects are as well documented.
The article on Finasterides true working methods and impact in 5B Reductase can be found here….then Google the impact of 5B suppression and you will recognise I’m sure the effects…

Well younger people have higher sex drives.
What shampoos do YOU use for hair loss? You should make an update video !
I hate when muthafuckas like ur shit and dont explain lol
When I first started fin. No side effects. Then stopped and went back to it. Very bad side effects. Just fyi. If u stop, dont go back to it.
Thanks for sharing. What have you replaced it with?
Can you elaborate what kind of side effects? Very curious to know
Side effects was sexual, anxiety and minor depression. I stopped for 4 years now. Most sides effects are gone.
I am not taking anything now. But thinking about transplant.
What time u had side effect after stop finasteride ?
I've been on it for a month now and haven't noticed any changes. But I'm not focusing or looking for anything. Will keep it in the back of my head in case something pops up. Definitely makes sense to stop if you are trying to conceive though. Congrats :)
Thanks!! and best of luck!
Why do people get testicular pain? Did anyone ever study it?
Hydrocele , varicocele?
Isn't that where the DHT is produced at? I thought I read that somewhere
AdonaiLove 33 yes one of the places
However
It doesn’t explain why it cause pain
I think topical fin+ minoxidile is a better option,
One question, when you stop taking finastride, will your hair fall out more ????
Thank you for doing this !
Kazi Tuta No, it just goes back to how it was before taking fin. I wanted to know this also.
I had to stop 2 months ago man and I feel so much better now man.
What time your side effect gone after stop finasteride ?
What is different? brain fog? libido?
any updates?
Which finasteride is good to take there's so many out there?
Any generic will do
Activis, milpharm, accord, propecia
Short hair on the sides suits you well mate.
Haven't got time to watch the vid as i'm about to go out. What the TLDW?? PS - I stopped taking Fin about a month ago after being on it for a little over a year. Basically, I got sides (watery semen and, more worryingly, painful ejaculation.) Lots of idiots kept telling me it was just coincidence, but I stopped taking it and the painful ejaculation fixed itself within about a week. Watery semen still remains, but apparently it can take like a year to get back to normal!! In terms of hair, I did notice less shedding on fin. Certainly didn't regrow any hair hair, though. Looking into a transplant now. I'm about nw 2.5
Hey man. I did scalp massages for 4 months, completely got rid of the "MPB Itch". Scalp feels better than ever before. Back then it was various times during the whole day, even up to a painful feeling while brushing etc. It's all gone now, the only time I get the tingling ghostfeather shiet is after fap now. Any thoughts on dis Hairliciously? Lost a huge amount of ground during the 4 months tho, with no regrowth ;/.
Aaron thoughts on ur secondary HT with smp?
2nd ht coming later this year. I dont think I need smp yet... and will only use it to cover up some fue scars but so far so good.
This is a perfectly fine reason to temporarily stop, I hope you do resume after though. By the way, if you’re worried about the neurological effects you could always take pregnenolone supplements
Thanks for the suggestion!
i take 0.5 mg avodart 1 time per week, never any sides.
So not stopping taking Fin !
Maybe you could have started applying CB-03-01 so that you wouldn’t lose the progress from Fin?
I have lost my hair line completely and have very noticeable hair loss on the crown. Is it too late for me to start taking finasteride and what is a good/reliable generic?
Only people who have lived through this can understand how differently people treat you. Because it happened to me so young I fear that I will never get to have a family of my own.
Yea bro, same here,I can understand your concern.
@@vinayakkambli9651 The shittiest thing is hearing all these Hims/Keeps/Roman ads for finasteride/minox where they claim losing your hair is just a choice. I think young women and guys with good hair probably hear that and might believe guys with hair loss just don't take care of themselves or care about their appearance. I know it's just an ad but hearing someone say it was my choice to have hair loss pisses me off. I've wasted so much time trying to beat this stupid condition and not look 15 years older than I would with a good hair line.
Just own it bro. Get to the gym. No one will like you until you like yourself. Working out will make you feel better
Have you thought about doing a hair transparent
@@timjones5631 Dude I know your trying to help but let’s be serious most people do not look good bald and it has a significant impact on quality of life.
I've literally just got my prescription and took my first tablet.. wish me luck
It destroyed my life so good luck with that
@dennisestrada75 btw it's fine I'm only on my second month but with some extra help from shampoos my hair does appear thicker. I'm gonna give it another 6 months before I start recommending to anyone because it takes time for your hair to grow and the side effects to kick in, but so far so good
@@MILTFTRUE11 just read your comment on that Jason's comment of the video. Maybe all that trouble you got ain't just down to finasteride
@dennisestrada75 interesting you said about shedding because i have realised some hairs falling out in the shower and on my bed sheets, i must be at that point so hopefully it gets abit better.
What do you mean the big three?
@dennisestrada75 I've actually heard of that ingredient from somewhere, but the shampoo I use just claims to have less harsh chemicals than what you get in your day to day stuff but is marketed for hair loss tbh.
I don't thin minoxidil is for me it's to much messing around everyday before and after bed, I've heard that people also shed of that before it starts to show and that isn't something I want. Also when you stop taking it the hair falls out and i can only imagine the horror if you shed even more hair from when you stopped using it to when you started if you get what I mean.
Fin can also lead to alterations in your penile tissue, and even brain chemistry. Kinda scary. DHT seems to be important :/
I took Finasteride for 3 month then stopped...5 days later my ear was ringing (tinnitus)...Fell in depression...It has been 5month with this horrible condition
Why did you stop?
I have a video about my experience but it is in Spanish, maybe you can see it with subtitles.
any updates on your hair loss journey?
Do you also have to stop using minoxidil when you planning of having a baby
Minoxidil is fine.
Okay thanks. Please can you talk about lipogaine
Who can prescribe this medication ?
your primary doctor or dermatologist or hair transplant doctor.

Can i have a link to the studies?
Won't Rogaine just work?
What's best for male pattern baldness
We have 5 alpha reductase inhibitors, minoxidil which is a vasodilator, microneedling/dermal rolling, good DHT blocking shampoos and supplements, etc. There's a bunch and you need to find out what works for you and what doesn't. And then, there are hair transplants.
@Vinny Booboo In India baldness is common but as a youth we can't take ,it looses out self confidence....hope there will be a cure in future

That's something I always worry, having children. In my case, if I stopped Finastride I'd lose a good amount of hair and I honestly don't have a good solution for that. How many months are you stopping finastride?
@Vinny Booboo That's not true. I've had one already 6 years ago. Its about keeping what you've got.
@Vinny Booboo yes, but I've shed. So no, it's not permanent. It's not all gone but compared to what it was, it's not permanent.
Vinny Booboo it is transplanted, but you will continue to lose hair where you still have hair. Unless you had your whole head transplanted but chances are he only transplanted certain areas, thus the other areas where there is still natural hair will be mpb prone
