Great book on this history of jukeboxes: amzn.to/2Hrk22r ANYTHING! you buy on Amazon after clicking that link doesn't raise your prices but gives us a referral tip, thank you!
Or pull the Pricing Tabs out and that also puts it in Freeplay. And these Mechs were the absolute best in the "biz". Everything about these Mech was great, highly simplistic and easily timed. Up until TOUCH TUNES came along, ROWE was the best thing out there.
It's a pretty nice machine getting into the jukebox fixing business huh I just bought 3 silver sky nsm jukeboxs all the parts all the CDs everything 30 bucks a piece a hundred bucks for three machines all the parts are in them and they even deliver them to me from 60 miles away
@@LyonsArcade i own a nsm prestige ES 160 that sounds great. The volume goes from zero to eleven by just a little touch of the volume sliders in the back, that's not a good thing when you wanna play records in the evening when the kids are asleep.
Have you tried a brand new needle? My nsm prestige skipped a lot of records as well, even ones that looked perfect. I replaced the needle and none of them skipped anymore.
I just got one of these. It seems to be stuck in most popular mode. I tried resetting it, power on and off and after k get it to play a song it goes into most popular mode and won’t accept another selection. There is no coin operation anymore, I bought this used, fully functioning and when I went to show it off, it did this. Ideas?
Quite interesting. I have one and need some parts, such as: selection numbers are worn; also speakers sound crackled...best way I can describe. Please let me know where I might buy spare parts. Thank you
I m guessing there's s bracket or support to keep every thing in place while it is being transported , been a long long time since I purchased a phonograph needle , do they even still sell them ? Same goes for 45's ?
Nope: The real problem is that most 45's are not Jukebox 45's unless this in noted on the disk. Sometimes you can change out that stylus and cartridge with a non special Juke Cart. and stylus. but, that is part of the issue. A lot of juke boxes may also need an inverted Groove disk. Second, Any new disks made after the 80's are not the same type as what - used to be placed in the rack's. 3rd - Any disk over about Two Minutes and Thirty to Three minutes, will most likely have EP Grooves which are very close to each other in the disk. LP is normal medium sized and SP : are closer to the 78 rpm Grooves hopfully that helps you out on future Jukes!
Hey, I know this is a pretty old video so not sure if you check it, but I have an opportunity to get one of these. Problem is the owner left it in the garage and the plastic face plates on the front and the song board have all warped. Is it even possible to find replacement parts for this machine?
@@LyonsArcade Hey thanks for taking the time. Yea they left it in a garage that was so hot it melted a bunch of the plastic! Maybe I could 3D print replacements though, although I'd have to buy a used song board. That whole thing warped too. Fortunately they had removed all the 45s.

Hi Jim; You want to check out www.JukeboxParts.com , they have a bunch of parts machines you can buy things from.

They do still sell and make needles and made 45's up till a few years ago, they still make tons of LP's though.
@@LyonsArcade perhaps the 45's will make a come back as the lp's have .and if typewriters are again cool then there's hope still.

@@LyonsArcade well, this is a four year old video! so, for this juke box, for sure - I would agree.
How much is one of these worth?
We sold our last one in our store for $1299
@@LyonsArcade I found one locally for 450 and have been really tempted to buy it. Don't know why I need it but it's just super cool lol

They don't make anything new for it but you can get used stuff all over ebay for it. Shipping would kill it though...
