  • How to tie a Hopper Dry fly for Fly Fishing
In this video we'll be tying a really successful dry fly pattern for me on highland reservoirs. The Claret Hopper. A great pattern to use as part of a 3 fly cast fished from spring onwards.

    Rib: Small Red Holographic Tinsel
    Body: Claret Seals Fur

What are you trying to show with this video? If you are trying to show how to tie this fly it would be a good idea to watch the video before posting it. Very poor quality of production.

I could say the same about the 2 videos you've posted yourself, but I'll be the better person. Have a wonderful week 👍

@@RhysFishes but those are not instructional videos.
I enjoy fly tying and watch a lot of instructional videos. My commentvon your videobwas just to pint out the they would be much better if you would actually preview what you are recording to make sure they convey what you are wanting. You might want to look at some of the videos by Postfly or Savage flies, you might then understand what my point is. It is good that you take the effort and time to make and share the videos but you should akways seek to make improvement to your product.

@@johncoates8474 This isn't a product. This is a hobby of mine, I work full time in a normal job and do this with any spare time I have. So before you begin to criticise - ask yourself, could you do a better job of it? If so, great, I'd love to see your content too. If not, think to yourself, how much time, effort and money is spent just creating this content for your pleasure.
I completely accept constructive criticism as it helps me get better at this hobby. But have some more common sense that to say this is a very poor quality production, when your videos (instructional or not, you have posted them to a public domain) are worse. Other's don't seem to have an issue with the quality of this video based on the feedback and response but I'll take on your feedback and hopefully you'll have the sense to take on mine too. Have a good evening :)
