I'm definitely taking a few of these with me!!
Definitely need superglue for nanosilk, I managed to glue my superglue bottle to my tying table but I can open it one handed now 😁.
    Fantastic looking fly Lindsay!!
    ATB Chris.

I really appreciate the precision with which you tied this fly, thanks Lindsay. Then again, maybe I have been watching too many videos the feather bender.

Lovely well tied fly. I will tie a few up for Menteith tomorrow.
Yesterday I used nano silk instead of my usual UTC because I was going to tie a rather complicated Klinhamer style fly in size #16. Forgot your advice about using superglue. Got to tying the hackle down the post when WTF! Body rotation! Had to take a scalpel to it. Lesson learnt.

Yep, very frustrating when that happens. I have done the same myself.

Well worth the extra wait for. Made a fair guess about ID of the fly other than mistaking the Jc for sunburst biot.

another one of those bumble-esque flies, with knotted legs added. I dont see how a fish could resist

Nice Job! Have you ever fished it for Trout in rivers. 👍

No, maybe in a smaller size #14 or similar would be worth a go but a bit big for the fish and rivers I fish.

Hey great tutorial, I have a question, as iam new to tyeing what are the pros and cons using fleuresant threads, while using the uv light in the dark the fly was glowing, does this scare the fish, thanks from Dublin

Hi Leon, I sometimes use the UV threads they can make the pattern stand out by creating a hot spot. I don’t think that UV will scare the fish.
