I like that the crib is on the shorter side because as soon as baby gets mobile he will be climbing over the sides and the shorter crib rails will be not so far a fall!
So interesting what you said about the chandelier. We had a painting that I really did not like. Then I got a sofa an hung the painting above it and fell in love with it. It just needed the right setting
Very nice room makeover, but I liked the way it was originally too. What you have done certainly updates it and makes it a charming, bright and clean child's room. The Wainscot and chandelier are the best parts IMO.

It's so open and airy yet cozy at the same time . I love the theme of the room . Oh what a year 2018 is going to be for you ! I can't wait to see the baby playing in the soil with you when he's old enough .
Love it, so warm looking and bright. (On that note, make sure you have black out shades for early mornings and naps). And speaking of naps, you'll probably want that pack n play in the living room (for naps) so you don't have to move him very far. Also, I kept the rock n sleeper wherever you go. I used it for weeks for night time sleep instead of the crib with it next to my side of the bed for feedings. You'll figure it out as you go what you like but definitely keep in mind the furniture can go with you! Our baby room was upstairs and we also used the pack n play diaper changer because in the early days with 10+ diaper changes, neither of us wanted to walk all the way upstairs for a change. My son is 18 months so I learned a lot the hard way. Also, baby monitor x100. It gives you peace of mind. I didn't notice swaddles but highly recommend them! Blankets are a bit too soon for a newborn. Also, crib bumpers are highly not recommended for risk of SIDS. People still use them but keep in mind the risk. So excited for you!

We have that same pack n play for our little boy! We moved it to our bedroom for those middle of the night feedings! The bassinet on top came in VERY handy. With my first 2 kids I have a typical classic bassinet and they out grew it within 3 months, however he is still in the pack n play next to our bed and hes 6 months lol eventually he will be in his crib! Love the mobile! I did an animal themed Christmas tree this year with similar ornaments as well as glass animal ornaments along with green, brown, and copper balls. Accented with grapevine, and owls on top. It's my favorite tree I've had!

You're so smart to buy budget for baby's room. It looks like the crib might convert to headboard when the time comes. And the chair will be very "loved" over time. How funny...i was thinking that plant tower would be a tipping hazard right before you talked about securing it to the wall. You've thought of everything. Be sure and launder all those cute outfits before the contractions start. :)
