  • I finally got out on a solo 3 day backpacking adventure with the Clostnature Polaris 2 person tent for a first impressions video and the Bushbox LF Titanium folding wood stove for cooking and to have a great little campfire at night. If you are looking at purchasing the Clostnature tent, this video will give you a good look at it with some of my pros and cons.
Since my camping spots tend to be very rocky it’s difficult to get tent stakes into the ground. A while back, I was looking for a tent that would set up fast without tent stakes, with the features I really want at an affordable price. The Clostnature Polaris 2 person tent comes really close to checking all the boxes. The tent performed really well. I was expecting a little rain but the storms kept missing me so I wasn’t able to test how waterproof the seams are. It’s a great little tent for the $79 I spent on it. The Polaris is a bit heavy at 4 lbs. 4 oz. on my scale with the extra seam sealant and guy lines I attached (not including tent stakes or stuff sack) but it’s worth every pound. The major things that drew me to this tent were the price tag of $79, the Deep Green color, the awing type vestibule that can be set up to sit under during the rain, the free standing nature of the tent, ease of set-up, “D” shaped doors, double zippers and the low walls on the bathtub floor. The stitching looks good as well. It could be the perfect 3 season tent...IF it stands up to a good old rain storm. FYI, I have also purchased the Kelty 2 Man Field Tent which is almost identical to the Clostnature Polaris 2 person tent. The Kelty version is about a pound heavier and slightly smaller and made of coyote brown 70D nylon. IF the Kelty version weighted 3.5 lbs. it would be the perfect tent for me.
Click this link to check out the Clostnature Polaris 2 Person Tent
    www.amazon.com/Clostnature-Li...
Tent Specs: (Specs are for the 2 Person version but they also have 3 and 4 person versions)
Colors: Deep Green or Orange Brown
Weight: 5.4 lbs. (with everything included)
Inner Tent Dimensions: 7’3” Long x 4’11” Wide x 3’10” Tall and more storage space in the 2 vestibules provided by the Fly
    Packed Dimensions: 16.5''x5.9''x5.9''
I was not able to fit the tent back into the provided stuff sack. I recommend rolling up the tent body, fly, poles and tent stakes and then securing the roll with the provided webbing and buckle strap. I then just strapped that to my backpack.
Material: 210T Polyester rain fly and tent body with a PU 5000 coating and factory-sealed seams
Tent Includes: Inner tent, Fly, Stuff sack for tent (too small), 2 Aluminum poles, 4 guy lines, 14 Aluminum stakes and 1 pole emergency repair kit

@@notquiteultralight1701 hey! Thanks for checking in on me. At the start of my youtube channel I had more time, opportunities and better health to go cool places, record, edit and put out fun content. I'm hoping that I can find a balance again soon. I've battled some health issues and time management issues but still got out to the woods a couple times a year. I even filmed some things and had some decent video ideas but just haven't got back to the point of being able to make videos just yet. But you are correct about that algorithm. It doesn't really seem to make sense and sometimes just doesn't seem to be worth the hours of filming and editing to produce a video if youtube is gonna make it harder for people to find it. The platform has also out grown itself in recent years as well and kinda left some of us behind. It happens. I just chalk it up to me getting old. LOL. Have a great time out there and thanks again foe checking on me.

@ 21:03 inhaled helium before telling story ? :D Nice tent...love the bathtub feature and awning above the entry. Looks more professional than just setting up an extra rain guard tarp above the tent...which is what I typically do to keep the dew and campfire ashes off the tent.

16:00 it's so sad, in the Sonoran desert we have Saguaro cacti and they're protected and endangered (probably extinct technically, they don't really propogate very well anymore), but I see a lot of saguaros next to trails that people have carved all up with stupid things, a living cactus. Like even though plants don't have nerves, it's such a weird, disrespectful and gross thing to do. For the plant and everyone else who wants to enjoy it. And because some of these trees, cacti, etc., might be the last of their species before it goes extinct from extreme climate changes.
