Right on! My wife and her family were born in Colorado. 1 of my 3 kids was born here. We moved here in 1985 to start a family. I was from Wisconsin. I grew up hunting, fishing and loved being in the woods. After I served in the USN I got married and moved to Denver. My kids all went to school and College in Colorado. Ofcourse I love to fish and hunt and camp. I was fortunate I had a 3 night work week and was off for 4. I was in the mountains every other week teaching my kids to fish, hunt and camp. They respect the land and thier elders. Campsites are cleaner when we leave. The idea of bringing Buffalo back to the plains is amazing to us. One day maybe my grandkids might be able to hunt them respectably again. I'm 61 now and things are so different than when I caught my first trout with my dad 55years ago or shot my first partridge 53 years ago. I pray that people will respect the land and animals in the future for many generations to come.
I was born and raised in Southern Colorado. My family and our neighbor owned property near Lathrop State Park where the state used to have a small herd of buffalo. The beasts learned a fence would not contain them so they left the state park. The herd moved to our neighbors property to a pasture that was about 15000 acres. My friend went and located the herd and the state came and set up a portable coral to capture the buffalo. The state used a helicopter to herd the beasts into the corral and right through the other side. By the time the state stopped messing with the buffalo the beasts had become quite aggressive. The state ended up selling the buffalo to a Vet. doctor from Longmont who brought a bunch of semi trucks and a bunch of cowboys to capture them. My friend Duncan led them to the beasts and they gently herded them into corrals. At one point one cow got mean and attacked a cowboys horse and the buffalo had to be dispatched. I was at Duncan's table eating some of that buffalo as he told of its demise. It was very tasty.
🤔 The bison 🦬 , is actually a living prehistoric mammal that was supposed to die off with the Woolly Mammoth 🦣 so it’s not really an Indian mammal or anybody’s .
Coexistence with bison and a sustainable supply of meat are the solution. Turns out native Americans had the solution all along. Thinning a massive bison herd is simple and practical. Having a cow farm that relies on a hay farm, a corn farm, and workers run into the ground like a farmers donkey are not practical. We need to radically downsize meat farming. I have ideas about how human settlements should be made so bison herds can recover and flourish along with the rest of nature. If you know an architect, and an investor that will hear my ideas I may already have a solution. Until then all i have to offer are ideas. If they wont work i can think of more. We should always have a solution minded approach to dealing with problems. Nothing makes a man think more than toiling in the fields. So what do you think?... can 4 sequoia sempervirens sustain the weight of a skyscraper?
You're lying. Show everybody your proof. The only greedy ignorant fools responsible for the near extinction of the buffalo and the people who depended on them are the invasive species of white immigrants and their left over anchor baby offspring, like you.

These are not wild bison folks. These are ranch raised for profits period. As I'm for saving the species I believe there are better ways

You’re part of the problem. City slicker…
Neither of you offer a solution. So........
