I've been there quite a few times. There was a good little eating joint on main street called The Wooden Pickle. I remember that there was history to that building but can't remember what, it's been a minute. So cool to get to see history on this beautiful little town

Not far from Marion in Tannersville is the home of Billy Wagner another major league pitcher with a smoking fastball. I lived in Tazewell along rt.16 26 miles from Marion but it takes about a hour to get there, love the drive before the back of the dragon now it’s always dangerous but that’s the cost of the tourism industry. Anyways thank you for a glimpse of home much love and many thanks from the Philippines 🇵🇭

Really glad I found this channel. I was born and raised at the foot of the Blue Ridge in Amherst/Nelson and I live in Lynchburg now. I’ve always been fascinated with SWVA and the Appalachia region. I’ve made many trips out that way since I could drive. Check out Rural Retreat if you haven’t already! Sticking to the soda theme, you can see the grave of Dr. Charles Pepper. If you need any help in the short/long term future with videos in any way, I don’t really have any videographer experience but would love to be able to connect with the region I’ve always called so close to home somehow. Keep up the good work!
