Do you use the histogram to ensure you’re properly exposed or do you go off the metering at the bottom?
Usually metering
You underexposing for the shot then bringing up in Lightroom to avoid blown out highlights and skies?
Yes that way I can use an mask and only affect what I want if it still has information to pull from
Ive tried copying the exact settings but i cant get f2.8 my sony a7ii only goes to F4.5 and the screen is really dark. Can you please help with this?
Try changing ISO and or stutter speed they all work together so if it’s not balanced good you can either be too dark or to light

I would say it depends, if you want just a camera then yes it’s great but if your wanting more of a video camera then look else where.
