TRIP REPORT | 14-Hours Flight on Emirates A380! | New York to Dubai | Emirates Airbus A380

- Emirates Trip Report flying from New York to Dubai onboard one of the Emirates Airbus A380 on a nice autumn day. A scheduled stop was made at Milan Malpensa.
An amazing trip from New York to Dubai (with a scheduled stop in Milan) onboard one of the Emirates A380. Flying the A380 is always synonym of maximum comfort, and doing it with Emirates means top-tier service. Of course, today's flight was not an exception. On top of that, we had the full row for us on the first leg (New York to Milan)! Can you imagine how comfortable it was to sleep like on a bed all night? Trust me! The best experience ever!
About the flights, we took off from New York in a southwesterly direction, after waiting in a queue of around 20 planes, and quickly made a 180° turn to the left to fly a northeast track towards the North Atlantic, initially in parallel to the US coast. We were all night over the Atlantic, but of course I set up my alarm for the Sunrise and then continued to sleep until we reached France. We entered the Brest area and from there we flew ik almost direct course to Milan, where we landed on time.
After a 2-hour stop in Milan Malpensa, we continued our journey to Dubai. We took off towards the north and quickly made a right turn to start our route to Dubai. We crossed Italy from west to east, flew over the Adriatic, and then Albania and Greece. From Athens, we flew in parallel to the Turkish coast towards Jordania, crossed Saudi Arabian, and, finally, set direct course to Dubai. This time the plane was fully booked, so we tried how comfortable is the A380 in this scenario.
About the onboard service, we all know how good Emirates is and I was particularly happy that they made some improvements on the service, especially on the breakfast part. For dinner, we had 2 main options chicken BBQ or Grilled Cod. Of course, I went for the chicken. It was really good. It came with a chickpea salad and the always amazing Triple Chocolate Delice as dessert. Also, some cheese, butter and bread was offered with the main meal.
For the breakfast, we got a pastry and a little muffin. The improvement came with the pastry: finally, Emirates realized that you want something warm for breakfast! I think it was the same pastry we've got in other Emirates flights but this time, as it was warm, it tasted much much much better. During the night I was talking a little with the cabin crew and told them I love the Emirates Mango Juice, so without asking for it they served me 2 glasses. So polite crew. Top!
On the second flight, we were offered also 2 meals (lunch service and pre-landing snack). This time I chose again the chicken option, with rice and red pepper sauce. It came with a couscous salad as entry and a strawberry and redcurrant crumble as dessert. Bread, cheese and butter was also given, together with a wide selection of drinks. The pre-landing snack consisted in popcorns and 1 drink.

I flew from JFK Terminal 4 back in July 2021 on a Delta flight and our gate was B32. And yes taxiing at JFK took us 50 minutes from pushback to takeoff. I wanna someday fly on the Emirates A380. Another solid trip report 👍

It's an amazing plane. The most comfortable currently, for sure.
Wow! Amazing video! So many things that i like in 1 video: EK, Dubai, A380:)) I flew on EK 4 times on triple seven and on A380 really i like them both. Food is amazing on EK especially breakfasts and dinner. I had the same dinner as you) But i had hot breakfast 🤨🤨. So about connection or direct flights i was in Dubai at connection last summer and it was unforgettable experience so i love connections and i guess if i'll have a choice i'll take connection one) And about the comment under mine i don't think so, your doing so big and amazing work so your videos are very interesting and popular

As a Chilean/Dominican New Yorker who dreams of returning to Dubai everyday and flew Etihad UAE it was nice seeing planes with connections to Santo Domingo, Santiago Abu Dhabi and Dubai in this video. Also you did a great providing valuable information in your captions.

Voy a coger un vuelo con el a380 y he estado mirando tus videos y siempre coges el 50A, sera porque es buen asiento no? La ventana esta bien cuadrada para poder verla bien? Me da miedo también el espacio de atras, que el baño no este muy pegado por el ruido

haha Well, on the direct flight there are basically the same services: 2 main ones + one warm snack :))
But there is only 1 takeoff and 1 landing ;P
The flap deployment sounds on an A-380 always remind me of a tornado siren.
I really 😊😊😊❤❤❤ liked Emirates service and they provide services from New York to Dubai directly and with a stop also in Milan at the same price. Emirates meal is so amazing and the seats are very comfortable in A380. 🇺🇸🇦🇪 🇺🇸🇮🇹🇦🇪 the cabin crew is very friendly and helpful. ❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤

El vuelo de Nueva York JFK hasta Dubai dura catorce horas ?
Did you go through immigration when transiting to Dubai? I'm about to take this exact flight in a couple of months.
I know this may be a huge ask but do you think you could book the inaugural service between Newark and Faro? It is the first non stop from the south of Portugal to USA. Being that I spend so much time in the Algarve, it would be great to get a review of the direct flights to NY, saving me having to connect via other cities. Thank you for the content!

superb review. Thanks. i prefer always stop overs than direct flights for two reasons.1 ) you can strech your legs 2) As an aviation fan of course I wanna see more landings/take offs and the Airports. one question - MXP is the only place you can see two eK 380s at the same time in Europe? any adea?

Enjoyable video as always, thanks. I’d go for the direct flight. The thought of having to spend an extra 2 hours in Malpensa is more than I could stand, when there is the option of flying direct.
Yeah, depends on personal taste. When I booked these flights I planned to make differnt videos of each, but then I thought they would be more interesting all together :)
I agree. Although I love Milan (and all Italian regions), I think Malpensa is a dreadful airport of chaos. Nonstop is always better for all flights.

@@FastGuy1I’ve only used Heathrow for my destination of London, never as a transfer hub. So I don’t know much about it. As a destination, it was delightful, especially with the Tube in the terminal.

Pero tan solo en el primero de los vuelos. De Milán a Dubai fue casi al 100%.

I really hope, one day I'll have guts to fly long haul(Very nervous flyer here), I could survive thos short hops of 1-2-3 hours max. But I really hope I'll save some money and guts to fly long haul on A380 before they go out of service. Nice trip report, I really enjoy your videos!

La ruta es así. JFK-MXP-DXB, no es que hagan una parada porque sí, es para llevar pasaje entre todas las ciudades. Otra cosa es que en este vuelo en particular, el avión fuese medio vacío.
