They are so sweet!!! And they have so much luck to be your family's dogs... It was very touching to see how you sat next to the mother's side before she had the babies.... 😍
Thank you for a lovely heartwarming ode to life…you and mummy dog of course are so wonderful to those little pups, birth is a joyous celebration of life and continuity but of course has its share of tragedy, that is nature’s course, your love for animals is endearing, I wish you and your family much happiness in your small corner of Portuguese paradise, you sure deserve it ❤
Now Howard, hows tricks. You got all your Christmas veg in and growing yet. I rowed my spuds up last week as all through and growing well, just got caulies left to plant out as I was late getting them in as my friend was bringing from U.K. but not get here untill late, but should get them out next week. Not into big dogs as take too much feeding am more your Lercher man as have had several over the years and Whippets. Only citrus and Persimmons left to harvest in the fruit, o and a few strawberries, then should have new spuds in about 4 weeks, all being well.
Hi, was wondering how you were getting on...we've been planting loads of leeks, onions etc & generally tidying up...not sure where time goes! I admit that big dogs were not my thing before I met the Serras...they changed my perception! Still got three to home so here's fingers crossed that we'll get them good loving homes. Cheers!
@@howardsportugal Have said before Howard, just pop along for a few hours, might be well worth the trip and bring Eve with you and dogs welcome. Am only the other side of the big hill
Please consider feeding the father of the puppies. It seems to me you owe the puppy's father a few meals. After all you now have six puppies you did not have before. Also he is getting thinner and thinner and might very well die on your watch. Have you considered he might be an abandoned dog without a home or anyone to feed him? People to go to Portugal and then leave, when things do not work out, and abandon their animals who become then inconvenient. I would suggest taking him to the vet to see if he has a chip and, while you are there, have them take a look at his paw which obviously needs attention. I know it is not your dog. However, are we not responsible for all the creatures that show up in our lives? This one particularly seems to be a very loyal fellow and gave you additional 6 puppies. It is hard to watch him getting more and more emaciated as time goes by. He is such a nice dog. I hope you find it in your heart the motivation to take care of him or at least find out what his situation is, before he dies there on a corner.

He has an owner in the village...he does get fed, just not by us. Cheers for your concern!
