I know this is a few years ago, but wow.. what a great segment and I am glad to have discovered this show and episode.. have enjoyed hearing Valerie take on her father and mothers letters to each other and what they meant to her and the bits she has gleaned from.
Their stories is helping me when my faith was wavering their story has renewed it. I have just learned of the story and have been watching everything I can on them and it is a fascinating story it is a blessing that they can see the fruit some people never get to see that only the Lord knows
I'd like to know more about Valerie's life and her spiritual journey. She began to touch on it toward the end of the interview. Valerie seems like a gracious woman.

This was a wonderful interview and first time I’ve seen or heard to this program. I could hardly believe the host was 85 years old. I know she has makeup on and hair done, however, her mind and body are healthy and she is also inspiring. I will watch anything that Elizabeth Eliot is on or her family. She was an extraordinary woman. Thank you so much.

My husband and I exchanged letters by mail during our courtship in 1995. I still have every single one. It is wonderful to go back and read them.

I'm so frustrated! Where are Godly women like Elizabeth and Valerie?! Why can't we find them in churches? On shows? Where are those that wear their wisdom hair with holy, humble pride of paths lived? 😭 I'm a mom of 4 kids 9 and under. So tired of looking for Holy women if God. TRUE holy women. A role model to follow. Who have clean Holy, pure eyes filled with LOVE and LIGHT if Christ! Not black charcoal. I don't want my daughter to see this as this is not the image of Godly Grandmother I want set in her mind. God how I want the purity if those days gone past! Why now it's so hard to find these elderly Godly women who don't flaunt their perfect manicure figures but show hands that are filled with love to kindness, caring? We see that EVERYWHERE!!! I'm NOT religious, just seeking. I know what my heart is looking for and so many other women.
Does anyone know of good Christian Modest Godly woman channel that would speak of all those things and not look like Amish or Mennonite? That will teach of Housekeeping, child raising and spiritual gems to cherish.
This will probably be deleted, and I don't mean offend anyone. I'm not to judge where anyone is on their walk with their relationship with Christ... Just so frustrated. My heart longs for crystal PURITY.
Pray that God will help you find such women... both in your area and online. There are so many Godly women that will want to encourage you as you raise your beautiful children! And try not to judge a book by it's cover... look past the glitz to see what is inside! Sometimes you will be surprised. There are cultural differences and sometimes tragic life events that cause women to have the appearance that they do! Thanks for being a viewer LIlly! Praying that God will provide help for you and your family in every way... especially spiritually!

Dear Lilly, you are not alone, and you are not offending anyone, just crying out loud the prayers of so many of us.
You have to consider
1. We are living in difficult times
2. There are many Godly woman that teach the different aspects you mentioned, many, not one. Look for the traits and you will find them in three or five different ladies.
3. I have found many of them through books and here on UA-cam
4. God is faithful and He will answer your prayer and desire!
