In this video the man doesn’t always lift the handle to release the rubber snapper from its lock. Why does he sometimes lift it before he snaps and other times he doesn’t. I thought you always had to raise it slightly in order the release the rubber snapper. Was this just a mistake or for a reason?
Hi, raising the handle and releasing the rubber snapper is giving a wider leverage, very useful for thin cuts, fragile tiles, mosaics and cutting in angle. For normal cuts it is not necessary, you can save a lot of time just splitting the tile at the end of the incision.
@@MontolitTilingTools Thanks! I have the P3 and it’s the best cutter I’ve ever owned. When snapping the tiles should you hold the tile with one hand or is it better to not touch it at all?
@@ozziegb we do recommend to press down the handle so that the tile is not moving, with the other hand tap for splitting 👍

Здравствуйте. Многие пользотватели ваших станков говорят, что смазка способствует накоплению мусора под режущим диском. Смазка это хорошо. Но установите в ручке пыле уловители из войлока. Так, чтобы они охватывали рельс спереди и с зади. А так же охватывали режущий диск. В таком случае пыль не попадёт ни на диск, ни на ролики внутри ручки. Пыль и микро осколки работают как образив.
Что-то подобное раньше устанавливали в магнитофонах, для отчистки резиновых ремней от пыли (белый войлок).
Ни у одного производителя нет этих элементов. Даже у тех, кто делает плиткорезы с подачей смазки.

Can the Handle from the p3 basic changed to that from the p5 ?
Yes it is possible.
You just need to check when ordering because there are 2 different sizes for the handle, it depends on the bar.
@@MontolitTilingTools you mean the leangth or what ? The model ive got ist from hufa but i think ITS the p 3 Basic from the Looks . ITS the Version in 610 mm so the handle From the P3 masterpiuma would fit without any Problems in thery. But the p5 ist the one i would Like

I'm starting to hate the masterpiuma. Spent $800 on it 6 months ago and haven't gotten a clean cut on it since I've had it. Either crushes the tile with a jagged edge or the end breaks at a jagged angle when I snap it
I have only had mine a couple of days but I have found I am needing to make deeper incisions to get clean cuts especially if the rip goes beyond the snapping pads. With a light incision the tile fractures at the end of the pads. Hope this helps.

Again mashine for left handed.Why the demonstrator dont put the tile on the right side of the mashine were is longer measurment then do the nerow cut.
