@@Donika691 It's a reference to one of the community answers in that quiz they did during Covid lol people said climbing is something you can do in games but in real life and Rob was less than pleased with that (understandably so)
You shouldnt underestimate your appearance Rob. Every face has its perfect place. You have the face and personality of that friend thats always worth spending time with or the cool gaming Uncle that knows absolutly everything. Thats worth a lot, truly.
"In video games the world does revolve around you, try adapting that mindset to the real world and see how far it gets you, I mean literally it will get you nowhere." Agreed
Sleeping. Just put your head on a pillow and you're gone. No insomnia, stress, laying awake with worries, noisy neighbours. Just lay down and fall asleep.
The most EPIC fishing battle is the Baron of the Lake in Final Fantasy XV! I seriously enjoyed it more than the actual final boss of the game! Also, one thing that is much easier in games than in real life: sleeping. Push a button and get 8-12h of offscreen sleep, versus the changing of clothes, leaving your phone on the side, spending 40 minutes or so until you get comfortable and sleepy, and most of all, not hearing anything that might disturb your sleep. Of course, you still have to get up when nature calls, so 8 hours of pure, uninterrupted slumber are indeed a video game fantasy.
1:37 That cleaning in games part just made me think of a genius idea: in the future when we have home robots, we will be able to control them remotely and so do cleaning like that game but in real life! So why not add 'game points' and 'stats' to that? Finally, 'game achievements' could be directly related to real-life activities and thus we can finally brag about them and they would actually mean something to others. I would definitely power-wash the car more often if I can do it with a controller from a couch and while looking at a TV stream of the actual robot doing it just outside. And showing off I am 'level 27' in it will indicate to everyone else how clean my car is to boot! :D
Fetch quests are better in games. Most people barely offer a thank you in real life. In games you can get a bit of cash along with possibly some nice equipment.
sometimes fishing is just about sitting and listening to the calming water, rather than catching tiny bluegill, or wrestling with a massive carp. Its just a nice excuse to sit and do nothing, preferably with company.
The problem with cooking in video games is of course after you've done the cooking there is no actual tasty meal for you to eat, just the fake one on the screen. So an activity that is better in video games is immediately followed by an activity that better in real life.
Waiting: there are games when you can just skip time Healing: fall down and broke a leg? No need to wait for months of resting and phisical therapy, just drink a potion and you are fine Dying: respawn or load a save file
Hooking up farm equipment to the tractor often results in busted knuckles or grease covered hands sometimes both. Farming simulator back up close (not even perfect) to the equipment press X and done.
DIY in video games is streamlined a lot. Assembling/upgrading stuff specifically. Be it weapons, houses, vehicles. In real life if you want to assemble something like a circuit, it takes a good bit. Whereas popping a new head piece on your Armored Core? In an instant's notice only.
I agree shopping is a nightmare and I will do almost anything to avoid a trip to a supermarket, so imagine my surprise when embarking on my hated task but meeting a super star and having a lovely chat, I often think of that meet and play it back in my mind. " Hi are you Rob?" Knowing full well you were Rob from playstation access but scared you might have an evil twin who would hear the name Rob and let out a violent scream and attack me with a cucumber. Thank you for the chat Rob 😊❤
I already have the Wallace and Gromit dlc for Powerwash simulator on my steam wishlist. I'll have an enjoyable afternoon digital cleaning when that releases
the secret is...most people aren't worried about catching fish. They just like to be outdoors in the quiet, hanging with friends, and usually drinking a bit.
Rob, you didn't miss a thing! The list is all-inclusive and spot on. This one had me gut laughing. Well done Access 👏. Enjoy your weekend. Rob, go fishing in real life, you won't regret it.
Another great and relatable Friday Feature! 😊I have a streamer-friend who tends to focus on content like this in his games. 😁 I shared it with his community.
I mean it depends on why you're fishing you may just want to be passing time, perhaps social fishing with a friend, or you may really want to catch something maybe even drunk fishing. Bait, equipment, location, and time all makes a difference if you want to catch something but don't forget local laws.
Yes, the joy of catching a 11 star Mythical Convict Grouper in Hokkaido for 52,579 points and not having the concern of what to do with it, is real. However I quite enjoy putting together flat pack furniture. It' like Legos with an allen wrench.
On the fishing topic, does the theory only apply to games fishing is a side task like the ones you mentioned or would you extend the idea into sport fishing games like Rapala Fishing: Pro Series? Rapala's become one of my go-to "Okay. So my Internet friends are off for the night but I'm not quite ready for bed yet" games.
Falling asleep is one I’d say is super easy it’s instant, none of this tossing and turning nonsense 😂 Edit Matter of fact waking up as well that’s SUPER difficult 😅
I have a different question, what is easier in real life then in video games? because right now the answer to what's easier in games seems like just everything.
You also DIY a bedroom in Persona games like Persona 5/Royal by cleaning it up and finding things like a CRT TV amidst the clutter along with putting up a poster, a desk to make infiltration tools at, and also a video game console and DVD player for your CRT TV
One thing I find better in videogames than in real life is: farming for money. It's easier and a lot quicker than in real life, at least it is for me. 😂
I suppose that depends on the game. Some games it's easy to make millions, other games it's difficult just to make a few bucks. And it's not easy and quick for everyone to make money irl, it depends on people's specific circumstances.
I downloaded medieval dynasty thinking it was just a survival type game. As soon as I realised you were meant to build a village and assign tasks and be all responsible I just went "Nope!" - I am playing this to avoid that sort of thing!! 😁
Work is better of course; the careers in sims4 in which you follow your sims to work like the doctor career in the hospital for example, or the detective career
I got mixed feelings about the cooking entry. Mainly because at the end of the day whatever I cook in games I can’t taste it. We’re not at full dive technology yet. (When we do get there, I’ll come back to this).
Catching a bus. Missing a bus. 😭 That has happened to me Even worse, I had to use a bus, to get to a job interview. Because it was so far away. Sadly they already hired someone for that job, the same day. As i was on my way there. 😔
You forgot climbing. Climbing is way better in games, on account of it not being possible to do in real life at all.
climbing isn't possible? so what are all those rock climbers doing?
@@Donika691 It's a reference to one of the community answers in that quiz they did during Covid lol people said climbing is something you can do in games but in real life and Rob was less than pleased with that (understandably so)
@ ooh I see. Not a reference I would know as I missed what it's referencing. Ty for telling me.
“Sixteen people think you can’t climb?!?!?” is up there for best PS Access moments
@ lol cool. Too bad I missed it.
I want a real-life livestream of Rob going fishing.
^This^
Yess, please!
He should go with... @FishwithCarl. That would be hilarious. Compairing in game fishing tactics with real life🥳🥳💪🤞🤣
In a loincloth!
That would be entertaining. Plus he might even have some sea shantys 🎵🎶
In fairness to the bus driver, if Rob had locked eyes with me while sprinting toward me, I might be inclined to move away too. 😯

Here’s one for you Rob:
Healing from nearly fatal and/or debilitating injuries and statuses.
Somewhere Big Boss is smiling
That is the only power a bus driver has. They give hope and snatch it away.

An idea worth keeping in mind should I ever make a home robot. You and the PS Access channel will be credited 😁.
The trip to white run....hilarious 😂
Fetch quests are better in games. Most people barely offer a thank you in real life. In games you can get a bit of cash along with possibly some nice equipment.
Also XP, sometimes it is wise to be kind to everyone you come across along the way. Might even lead to more opportunities

I WAS JUST WONDERING IF I'D IMAGINED THIS 😂
Had to check the comments to see if anyone else noticed this
This list is incredible. The realness-- it's unparalleled 🤣 Bravo, Rob.
Waiting: there are games when you can just skip time
Healing: fall down and broke a leg? No need to wait for months of resting and phisical therapy, just drink a potion and you are fine
Dying: respawn or load a save file
I love Rob's self-awareness with Friday Feature gags❤😆
Dying is better in video games. Though I never tried it in real life...
I can confirm that it is indeed better. Much better.
I wouldnt recommend, tried it once, very expensive to respawn, also high chance for debuffs ((for reference, I had a heart attack))
Hooking up farm equipment to the tractor often results in busted knuckles or grease covered hands sometimes both. Farming simulator back up close (not even perfect) to the equipment press X and done.
Powerwash simulator ❤️ the perfect game for listening to podcasts…

That shaving sound at the start got me, while i had headphones on
ASMR we did not expect
We want the mutton chops!! 😂
Food? 4:25
I second that!!
Backpacks/ Pockets are better in video games

Watching Rob's Friday features always fills me with gamer pride
Dad used to take me fishing as a kid. You’ve pretty much nailed it.
my version of DIY in real life is Destroy It Yourself and regret not hiring/consulting a professional with things related to owning a car.
Can confirm, fishing is definitely easier in video games. I've been fishing irl twice, and both times, I didn't catch a single thing.
the secret is...most people aren't worried about catching fish. They just like to be outdoors in the quiet, hanging with friends, and usually drinking a bit.
@@TheSpiderPanwhile this is true I won't deny hooking a fish is still a thrill especially after the drinking and silence lol.
Not even a cold?
Fishing in Stella Blade is definitely on the next level😊
I make all my characters bald(ing) & bearded after you, Rob.
Rob's face is one of the 7 best things of PlayStation Access
Rob, you didn't miss a thing! The list is all-inclusive and spot on. This one had me gut laughing. Well done Access 👏. Enjoy your weekend. Rob, go fishing in real life, you won't regret it.
A highlight of my Fridays is the reliably entertaining Friday Feature from Our Boy Rob.
love the archmages robes all these years later still looks fresh

0:39 literally me every time rook shows up on screen. 😂
but yeah, the irony of me playing power wash stimulator in my pig-sty of a room. 😅
You mean to tell me that I'm mediocre? Me? I thought I was disappointing at best!
Don't you dare Rob you're scorching hot
Love the take on cars, whole new perspective 😂
2:13 Rob: “Stick to games. Words to live by.” [rather than do it in real life]. This is, without doubt, a truism of the near future.
The fishing in far-cry 5 is a goodie
I'm not gonna lie: I could have watched about 2 hours of Rob sitting in that fishing sketch!
Getting into a physical fight is way better in games than real life, trust me.
Yes, the joy of catching a 11 star Mythical Convict Grouper in Hokkaido for 52,579 points and not having the concern of what to do with it, is real. However I quite enjoy putting together flat pack furniture. It' like Legos with an allen wrench.
Shopping has got to be added to this list. What a chore IRL
This was hilarious. One of my favourites great job Rob mate 😂
Great Job Rob is probably his office nick name. 🤔
"Commuting is for sitting still and quietly regretting your life choices" that is an all-timer 😂😂😂😂

Fantastic as always Access ❤️❤️❤️
This has definitely been one of my favourite lists!
Can confirm, my in game avatar has inspired haircuts on more than one occasion.
did they make a Don't Hug me reference during the power wash simulator?

Matter of fact waking up as well that’s SUPER difficult 😅

Oh wow. LOVE the FFXIV fishing shout out!! 🙌🏼🥔
A great list indeed. Rob is on fire. (Also a better experience in games btw).
3:50 so true 😂. Funny dude. Bus drivers can be sure A holes.
This is hands down my favorite Friday list!
That fishing one cracked me up 😂
Driving was much better if you go back enough decades That's why they mention how the driving was so nice in that Christmas song
Fighting is better in video games. It doesnt hurt and in video games and as I am good at it where as in real life thats not the case
As bad as I am at fighting games, trust me, it hurts. lol

Do It Yourself.

6:28 how many bodies can I get in the boot. Kept my kids occupied by asking that in a car showroom and a Ford Transit
Ah Tetris. How to fit everything. And pray
Don’t sell yourself short Rob. You’re quite the handsome bloke and you’re funny. 10/10. 😄
I don't get as much time to watch these days, but the Friday Feature is a must watch asap.
I would love to see 7 video games that can help one survive in the wild or in some dangerous situations.
I'm guessing PCP means something different in Britian than it does in America...
Haven't watched yet and if fishing is not on the list I'll be disappointed
Oh it is. The entire list is a hoot
2:08 no diddy❤
I've gone fishing once irl & yeah it's kind of boring, but there is something about doing it games that is so relaxing
I am LOVING the Stardew Valley rep in this episode!!
Powerwash Sim was a platinum I thoroughly enjoyed
Nice razor. Mühle R89 open? 🤔
Maybe it's the Texan in me but real life fishing is awesome.
In defence of fishing, it can be a lot of fun when you're a kid. When you're an adult, drinking helps.
I find it rather criminal that a video with cooking contained no clips of the beautiful food in Final Fantasy XV.
"DIFM." Love it.
Wait I know Digitally Imported Fm radio. Ah is Rob an electronic music fan as well?
Work is better of course; the careers in sims4 in which you follow your sims to work like the doctor career in the hospital for example, or the detective career
Let's goooooo🎉. It's Friday, It's Rob. You know what's up.
Power washers are awesome in real life in my opinion.

There is even an entire quest in Detroit Become Human to also clean, and I kinda find that relaxing, yet I hate doing it in real life!
But what if I'm using the commute to catch up on the playstation access podcast?🥺😆
Catching a bus. Missing a bus.
😭 That has happened to me
