- In this video I am out in a wheat field near Hamer Idaho with Wolgemuth Bros LLC as they custom harvest wheat. Wolgemuth Bros LLC is a farm and custom harvester out of Elizabethtown Pennsylvania and custom harvests wheat and other crops from Texas, Oklahoma, And works their way north through Western Nebraska then over to Idaho as the wheat ripens then they return to western NE for some fall crops as well as Pennsylvania. In the video they are running one of their Case IH 7250 combines with a MacDon FD140 flex draper head.
Is that Larsen Farms?
Would be interested in knowing what that field was yielding
Oh cant wait to see The Gleaners👍
As a long time operater if combines this first video I've noticed in long time where they are running the reel at proper speed
I'm in south central Idaho most of the winter wheat went about 200 bushel the malt barley went 160-220 bushel .
I have to say:
- Good straw distribution for a Case combine.
- The operator is not threshing with the reel, which I don't see too often in videos from North America.
You are a good observer one of the first things I look for you were taught well
That’s a good looking field. Thanks for the video.
Welcome to idaho mike
Love those 250 series combines we use 4 9250s and I gotta tell you those green ones have nothing on Case IH
Good stand of wheat. I like the old military trucks also. They look like they would be better for hauling potatoes then wheat.
They are used for hauling potatoes
I must have just missed you. I helped them and Slagell Harvesting out of Hydro finish in Pocatello.
Hamer Idaho huh.
That's almost a 5 hour for me. I live on the western side of Idaho around Boise idaho. I've always been interested in learning how to drive a combine as well as a tractor. Also it's not just potatoes and wheat that we grow out here. We also do quite with corn believe or not. Along with sugar beets. We are a very diversified state. Sadly most of the farmland around the capitol is being sold for Residential or commercial use. Before long you'll have to go out to south central or the central part of idaho. Still if your willing to look past the urban expansion Idaho is still a pretty good place to live and farm.
This next year come watch Crapo farm harvest. We farm by the sand dunes.
That’s some Beautiful Wheat
Had a friend that would drive his pickup right up to the rear to see what was laying on the hood to check !!!!!
IS THERE A WHEAT FIELD ANYWHERE THAT HAS NOT BEEN HARVISTED? MENNESOTA? ANYWHERE? WOULD THEY LET ME TAKE PICTURES BEFORE THEY HARVEST IT?\
what is the white at the end of the vid is that rocks or somethin else.... Great Vid👍👍👍👍
I came through this area close to here about 30 years ago on one of our western trips and what a huge wow from an old east TN farm boy.Another great job of information and versatility in agriculture.Stay safe and God bless you all!!
Was the autosteer not set up correctly on the combine? There was a good four feet of header not being used on the left hand side
Always watching Mike less videos on UA-cam from the imperial co California.
sweet home idahoooo, i’ll be coming back to you.😢😫
Mike where those your white tractors
From 3 years ago on the video
I'm Brazilian, I'm looking for a job as a truck driver, I work on farms. In the USA. I still live in Brazil. is there any program for my case in this company?
Always enjoy your harvesting videos Mike. That was a very impressive pile of rocks at ~ 10:15. Probably collected over many years. Thanks for sharing.
Hello! Fine scenery...
Thanks a lot Mike. Really appreciate your efforts. Here in Pretoria South Africa we don't see many Case combines, and I've never seen any Macdon header, ever. Keep up the marvelous images.
10:03 "One, two, three, ... Damn! This was a stone... Once again..." 😉
Thanks a lot for the video! 😊👍🏻
Thanks for the video, I miss Hamer. I used to help Walker Farms run tractor for them back in the day, good friend of mine I used to work for he managed the farm for Walkers and when Mickelsens took it over. Late Michael Barnes from Hamer
Great video Mike
Are small, cereal grain fields rotated like corn & beans? I’ve learned that beans produce nitrogen which helps corn the next year, is that the same w/ crops like wheat, canola, oats, etc.
Great machinery, loved the video 👍 Would like to see potatoes harvested in Idaho , looking forward to it. Regards from Down Under.
I hadn’t thought about rotating potatoes ground. It makes sense to control diseases and rest soil from different demands from plants. Thanks for your videos. Jerome Manhattan Ks.
What a nice looking combine👍😁 great wheat harvest video, thank you👍
Does the water for irrigation come from the Columbia River
I like those grain hauling trucks. 🐊
👍
Cool video not to far away from me in idaho
Great. Well done.
Very nice
Enjoy

👏👏👏👍
Good video.
Need to see some Super 89 Gleaners running !!!!
Is this Larsen Farms in Hamer?
Larsen is no longer in hamer
Mickelsen Farms/Rigy Produce pretty much bought all of Larsens old ground as well as Walkers and almost all the ground east towards the sand dunes
@@0331bk a bunch of different farms ended up with Larsens ground. That is not mickelsens ground in the video. They don’t grow crops that look that good. That is a hamer native.
Thanks for the update
