One day i wish to visit scotland, my ancestral homeland, and i don't want to stay in a big bustling city. I want to see the countryside, the beauty of scottish nature and landscapes stretching before me. Tis a dream of mine to have a small cottage on a hillside, overlooking a loch or the sea. A quiet place to retire and marvel at the beauty all around me for my remaining days. A place with history in its soul and deep in its soil
i always had a dream of living in Scotland somewhere (i live in England currently), my dream was never to be rich or famous, i never dreamed of having a huge house with 15 bedrooms and 20 bathrooms, or to be surrounded by women, in my dream i have a house on beautiful green grass, i wake up every morning and look out at the ocean and see beautiful blue water for miles, the smell of pure clean air, the sound of water crashing against rocks, i hope one day my dream comes true.

Mine is not the same but similar. I am living in Germany but my boyfriend is Scottish. One day I want to live with him in a wee farm by loch lomond, far enough out to be by the shore and highlands, but close enough to Glasgow to work in my profession that I am learning and loving (biology, research). I know horses are considered luxury today, but it won't be as expensive with them living on your own farm. By boyfriend just lost his horse but I dream of having one each so we can ride out into the fields and mountains and shore together. A laid back life where spending our time in the nature will be our most lived part of the day.

I listen to this music with my eyes closed and I am transported to the Highlands of Scotland where my people comes from and it gives me hope that one day I csn track down which city or town they lived in and move there seeking some distant relatives, I have already found a second cousin I did not know I had and we have been keeping in touch both of us pleased to have found one another, I am 57% Scottish maybe even 60%. Like I said I lve this music and gives me hope for the future
Hello Tim, When I was young, I worked for a pianist. Above her grand piano, there was an antique cross-stitch that said, "Music is the Voice of God." What a profound statement, I always thought. (Though I am an artist, I am always in awe of where the sounds come from!) I am so blessed to live in Scotland. I went to school in Scotland but it took me 30 years to move here permanently. Tomorrow I will be heading up into the Angus Glen's on my horse. My ancestors left (or were forced) to leave the highlands. They came to Canada in search of a better life. Ionndrainn. A Gaelic word used to describe a phenomenon that took place after the first round of forced immigrations of the Highlands of Scotland from 1750-1860. To those who watched the ships leave their sight, the feelings were described as “great sadness and a feeling that something was missing”. I believe in generational pain and trauma. I longed to find a place and call it my home my entire life. 2 years ago I made it to the Highlands and I finally felt at home.

The highlands are honestly the most stunning landscape you can find on earth. In fact, they feel unearthly because they are so breathtakingly beautiful. I was fortunate enough to study in Stirling in college and I have Scottish ancestry as well. I can honestly say, other than my home town, I have never felt more at home than I do in Scotland. My husband traced his lineage to the highlands-(Clan Grant- back to the 600s) and mine too (Clan Frasier-great grandfather born on the ship to America) and God willing we will travel there someday soon. A blessed peaceful day to you all.

Glad we're heading into spring/summer here...more movement and slowly re-opening unlike UK & Europe...more lockdowns and winter approaching - must feel a little bleak. International cricket matches here and Australian Tennis Open seem a long way off, but with all Aussie pro-golf tournaments officially now cancelled as of this week we're still not sure even they'll go ahead as of today. We've just done 100+ days lockdown living within a 5km restricted zone of our homes, 4 reasons only to go out for max 1 hour per day (including curfew). I could only publish walking around tour vlog content of my local area. Recent months just going grocery shopping felt an extravagant destination sometimes. Today (Mon 19th Oct 2020) finally some incremental steps announced yesterday (Sun 18th Oct 2020): now 20km's radius travel from home. Freezing like a penguin? Thank you Tim for this. I know that I am drawn to Scotland but if I can ever be there it's another thing probably decided by God alone. Im 71 now , very active but alone . Im not sure what to do. I have a passion calling for Asia where I can perhaps help for a family that I could fit into. If I could find a woman of my dreams in either culture I could be so happy. Yes the Scottish culture draws so deep into my soul and Im not sure why, the landscapes there and the people are awe inspiring. Such beautiful music. It brings back memories of the several trips I made to Scotland and could never get enough of it. I am too old to travel back now but I can go there anytime in my mind, I can see the Moors, the rolling hills and cliffs and the small winding roads throughout the countryside, the sheep crossing the road and the beautiful sheep dogs herding the sheep in the meadows and most of all I can hear the laughter of the people as they welcomed this "Yank" to their beautiful country. This music brings up all of these memories and I cherish each one

As you age, I hope you can relive your memories of Scotland over and over. I am 73 and my memory fails me at times, but I hold dear to precious memories of Great Britain especially Scotland.
Today listening to this music I was giving honor to Queen Elizabeth who died so I fixed up a Scottish meal with some scones and had some tea and thought of her and her history. Now she's with her husband in heaven. She had a long reign. I will always remember her.

We all yearn for something simpler, cleaner, more pure and wholesome... yet sadly most of humankind cannot give up their vices, greed, selfishness, anger and entitlement. Until we purify our hearts, souls, and minds Music like this will provide a yearning and sadness because the reality will never be fully realized. We don' t need Scottish Highlands, we need a renewing of our hearts and a change in our thinking and choices. This video shows us God's intention for the beauty he bestowed on mankind, who was charged with taking care of such a precious gift.... We haven't done such a great job with each other, or the planet.... this is the sadness we feel, and the longing for joy in the original purpose for mankind that lies underneath that sadness of longing and desire for something beautiful, but just out of reach for most.

I’m a pagan with Scottish ancestry (my family is descended from clan Henderson) and I’ve always felt an overwhelming love for Scotland. Even though my family at some point In History crossed the border into the north east of England, I feel like my soul is connected to Scotland and no other place feels simultaneously as magical and like home to me. Beautiful Celtic folk music like this always makes me feel like no other music can make me feel. It truly is magic and I’m extremely proud to be decended from the most beautiful and magical place on the earth

I am in process of taking my mother’s ashes for burial back to her homeland in Europe. My father was such a bad person and want to see my mother resting in peace with her family. Listening to this while soldering and hammering Celtic jewellery. Heaven. I live an hour south of Scotland and travelled the whole circumference of Scotland by motorbike including outer Hebrides. Stunningly beautiful country, I’m very lucky to have it on the doorstep. This music takes me back there in an instant

It's almost scary here and we had frost this morning and it's a little bit late on the season I think! We have 6 degrees right know with some bleak sunshine outside. We are ok here but it's no fun to be honest with you to be in quarantine but we try to cope with it as well as we can. It such a surreal feeling and strange times but we have to learn to live with it too! We have a lot of deaths here in Sweden and a lot of sick people too. We are perhaps not as worse of as the poor countries in South America for taking one example but every sick or dying person still counts in someone's heart even in the hearts of the persons in the health care system providing them care. I heard a doctor who works in the ICU for severe sick people here saying that they get so sad for the sick and dying but also so happy for those who make it! When someone who has been really sick can go home healthy they use to stand in the corridors and give them applauds. They try their very best and works so hard every day! They are heroes in my heart and the same goes for all of those who do the same work around the whole world, they are the real heroes of our time in the world! My part of Sweden and my town as well as surrounding towns are affected by the virus. We in Sweden has been hit harder than Denmark, Norway and Finland with infected and deaths. We got recommendations from our government to do certain things and was not forced by law to do in a surtain way. Our government gave the responsibility to each and one of us to do very best that he or she could do to protect themselves and their families, older generations or the various risk groups! Somehow this virus is very tricky to maintain ( even if you put a whole country in complete closedown ) and the spreading was a fact with this virus without people knowing they had got it because they themselves seemed fine still so the virus came out slowly but was spreading fast into nursing homes, hospitals, schools, working places etc and even children can spread the disease. We have to keep up our faith and hope and never let go of them because better days will come back! I also hope that we all can learn and change too from this event that material things are nothing and that love, families, other human beings and kindness as well as solidarity are the way to a better future for us all in the long run because we are all brothers and sisters sharing this lovely planet with each other called Earth! Although my physical relationship with Fearnan ended long ago, the close spiritual bond has lasted a lifetime. This historic highland village not only provided a refuge during the stormy war years, it invoked a sense of mystery, and yielded a kaleidoscope of vivid memories. Even today when I think of Fearnan it's not difficult to visualize village life as it was then, and when I close my eyes I can see clearly the white-capped waves surge across Loch Tay and hear the children's voices carried on the wind as they tumble from the schoolhouse at the end of the day. Never to be forgotten. And thank you Tim for rekindling fond memories.

Mine is not the same but similar. I am living in Germany but my boyfriend is Scottish. One day I want to live with him in a wee farm by loch lomond, far enough out to be by the shore and highlands, but close enough to Glasgow to work in my profession that I am learning and loving (biology, research). I know horses are considered luxury today, but it won't be as expensive with them living on your own farm. By boyfriend just lost his horse but I dream of having one each so we can ride out into the fields and mountains and shore together. A laid back life where spending our time in the nature will be our most lived part of the day.
I love this dream and relate to it so much, living in nature is all I really want💗

I listen to this music with my eyes closed and I am transported to the Highlands of Scotland where my people comes from and it gives me hope that one day I csn track down which city or town they lived in and move there seeking some distant relatives, I have already found a second cousin I did not know I had and we have been keeping in touch both of us pleased to have found one another, I am 57% Scottish maybe even 60%. I am so blessed to live in Scotland. I went to school in Scotland but it took me 30 years to move here permanently. Tomorrow I will be heading up into the Angus Glen's on my horse. It's just him and I with nature all around us. From red squirrels running up the trees to the red deer on the hill's.

My ancestors left (or were forced) to leave the highlands. They came to Canada in search of a better life.

To those who watched the ships leave their sight, the feelings were described as “great sadness and a feeling that something was missing”.
I believe in generational pain and trauma. I longed to find a place and call it my home my entire life.

I was fortunate enough to study in Stirling in college and I have Scottish ancestry as well. I can honestly say, other than my home town, I have never felt more at home than I do in Scotland. Glad we're heading into spring/summer here...more movement and slowly re-opening unlike UK & Europe...more lockdowns and winter approaching - must feel a little bleak. International cricket matches here and Australian Tennis Open seem a long way off, but with all Aussie pro-golf tournaments officially now cancelled as of this week we're still not sure even they'll go ahead as of today.
We've just done 100+ days lockdown living within a 5km restricted zone of our homes, 4 reasons only to go out for max 1 hour per day (including curfew). I could only publish walking around tour vlog content of my local area. Recent months just going grocery shopping felt an extravagant destination sometimes.
Today (Mon 19th Oct 2020) finally some incremental steps announced yesterday (Sun 18th Oct 2020): now 20km's radius travel from home.

Thank you Tim for this. I know that I am drawn to Scotland but if I can ever be there it's another thing probably decided by God alone. Im 71 now , very active but alone . Im not sure what to do. I have a passion calling for Asia where I can perhaps help for a family that I could fit into. If I could find a woman of my dreams in either culture I could be so happy. Yes the Scottish culture draws so deep into my soul and Im not sure why, the landscapes there and the people are awe inspiring. Such beautiful music. It brings back memories of the several trips I made to Scotland and could never get enough of it. I am too old to travel back now but I can go there anytime in my mind, I can see the Moors, the rolling hills and cliffs and the small winding roads throughout the countryside, the sheep crossing the road and the beautiful sheep dogs herding the sheep in the meadows and most of all I can hear the laughter of the people as they welcomed this "Yank" to their beautiful country. This music brings up all of these memories and I cherish each one

As you age, I hope you can relive your memories of Scotland over and over. I am 73 and my memory fails me at times, but I hold dear to precious memories of Great Britain especially Scotland.
Today listening to this music I was giving honor to Queen Elizabeth who died so I fixed up a Scottish meal with some scones and had some tea and thought of her and her history. Now she's with her husband in heaven. She had a long reign. I will always remember her.
My ancestors hale from Scandinavia and Norway by way of Scotland and Ireland, I've loved celtic music since I was younger.

I just found out from my DNA I was 21% Scottish. I never knew! My daughter visited before we knew. Her ancestors called to her to go. Of all places in the world she could've traveled!! I doubt I ever can afford it but so happy she did!!❤

We all yearn for something simpler, cleaner, more pure and wholesome... yet sadly most of humankind cannot give up their vices, greed, selfishness, anger and entitlement. Until we purify our hearts, souls, and minds Music like this will provide a yearning and sadness because the reality will never be fully realized. We don' t need Scottish Highlands, we need a renewing of our hearts and a change in our thinking and choices. This video shows us God's intention for the beauty he bestowed on mankind, who was charged with taking care of such a precious gift.... We haven't done such a great job with each other, or the planet.... this is the sadness we feel, and the longing for joy in the original purpose for mankind that lies underneath that sadness of longing and desire for something beautiful, but just out of reach for most.

I’m a pagan with Scottish ancestry (my family is descended from clan Henderson) and I’ve always felt an overwhelming love for Scotland. Even though my family at some point In History crossed the border into the north east of England, I feel like my soul is connected to Scotland and no other place feels simultaneously as magical and like home to me. Beautiful Celtic folk music like this always makes me feel like no other music can make me feel. It truly is magic and I’m extremely proud to be decended from the most beautiful and magical place on the earth

I am in process of taking my mother’s ashes for burial back to her homeland in Europe. My father was such a bad person and want to see my mother resting in peace with her family. Hello and good morning to you dear Tim and thank you so very much for the nice music video of today and the Celtic music as well as the theme! It's almost scary here and we had frost this morning and it's a little bit late on the season I think! We have 6 degrees right know with some bleak sunshine outside. It will grow a little warmer here now so we will have somewhere around 16 to 18 degrees now during the days towards the end of the week. I hope that you and your family are well and doing fine. We are ok here but it's no fun to be honest with you to be in quarantine but we try to cope with it as well as we can. It such a surreal feeling and strange times but we have to learn to live with it too! We have a lot of deaths here in Sweden and a lot of sick people too. We are perhaps not as worse of as the poor countries in South America for taking one example but every sick or dying person still counts in someone's heart even in the hearts of the persons in the health care system providing them care. I heard a doctor who works in the ICU for severe sick people here saying that they get so sad for the sick and dying but also so happy for those who make it! When someone who has been really sick can go home healthy they use to stand in the corridors and give them applauds. They try their very best and works so hard every day! They are heroes in my heart and the same goes for all of those who do the same work around the whole world, they are the real heroes of our time in the world! My part of Sweden and my town as well as surrounding towns are affected by the virus. We in Sweden has been hit harder than Denmark, Norway and Finland with infected and deaths. We got recommendations from our government to do certain things and was not forced by law to do in a surtain way. Our government gave the responsibility to each and one of us to do very best that he or she could do to protect themselves and their families, older generations or the various risk groups! Somehow this virus is very tricky to maintain ( even if you put a whole country in complete closedown ) and the spreading was a fact with this virus without people knowing they had got it because they themselves seemed fine still so the virus came out slowly but was spreading fast into nursing homes, hospitals, schools, working places etc and even children can spread the disease. We have to keep up our faith and hope and never let go of them because better days will come back! I also hope that we all can learn and change too from this event that material things are nothing and that love, families, other human beings and kindness as well as solidarity are the way to a better future for us all in the long run because we are all brothers and sisters sharing this lovely planet with each other called Earth! This historic highland village not only provided a refuge during the stormy war years, it invoked a sense of mystery, and yielded a kaleidoscope of vivid memories. Even today when I think of Fearnan it's not difficult to visualize village life as it was then, and when I close my eyes I can see clearly the white-capped waves surge across Loch Tay and hear the children's voices carried on the wind as they tumble from the schoolhouse at the end of the day. Never to be forgotten. And thank you Tim for rekindling fond memories.
