Dear Bruce, in Europe we considered the v8 Scania engine as the most powerful in the world. In my home country, Greece truckers who owned Scanias used to convert their trucks by changing the Scania diffs with the ones built by Mercedes and the gearboxes with the Volvo ones, as they were considered undestrucktable, so that they coyld stand the power of the motor and not break down...
@@PowerslideSWE Let me put it this way. Some trucks are in worse condition than 25 year old trucks. And they are barely 3 years old. You guys need to do a collab with @GuyMartin he is a truck mechanic from over here in England and he knows everything about the Scania and other models of European trucks
The V8 were designed by Scania for the thoughest environment and ridiculous using, hence why they're pricier than the standard inline-6s or inline-5s... And that's why they're unique, dreamed, and loved by many drivers and fans... Scania also has a bonneted/hood variant called the T-cab from the series 1 up until series 4. As far as I know, after the series 4, the T-cab only came as optional. And then it was stopped. Some people converted a standard cabover to a bonneted or hood one, like a company in Netherland. If you got a T-cab, whether it is a 9-litre inline-5 or an 11-litre inline-6 or even a 14-litre V8, you can compared it with a conventional American Big Rigs. Cheers👍🏽
In fact the conventional bonnet (torpedo) variant has always been a big part of Scania, from the first truck in 1902 until they decided to stop making them in 2005 because of decreased demand. Until the midddle of the 1970's Scania sold more Torpedos than Bulldogs (coe). Before the "GPRT" generation (for example T112) was introduced in 1980 Scania named their bonnet trucks just "L" (Lastbil) and the coe "LB" (Lastbil, Bulldog). For example L110 and LB110. The 4 series also had versions with a new 12 litre I6 (124) and a new 16 litre V8 (164), the engines that later replaced the 11 and 14 litre engines.
For all the baby back bitches, buy your own truck and stop crying about what others do with stuff they own. You should have found and bought the truck not cry.

You've already proven that European trucks are way better, sturdier and more fun than American trucks. You also seem determined to destroy that Scania with doughnuts and burnouts. That said, one can only take so much burnouts before it becomes boring. I'm out.
Well, I'm an European and to me that's just a poorly maintained load of junk. In Europe this truck would most likely already have been scrapped. Too new to be interesting to a vintage truck enthusiast and "old school" mechanic like me. Just too much weak plastic and electronics. The "original" 140 model, especially the long hood version LS140, from the early 1970's would be a completely different thing, simple and tough technology. But I also understand the opposite opinion. As well as genuine European trucks are rare in America, American trucks are very rare in Europe and I don't think people here would buy one just to destroy it.

You guys need to do a collab with @GuyMartin he is a truck mechanic from over here in England and he knows everything about the Scania and other models of European trucks

Blow it up and put a V-8 cat in it
Red necks destroy truck.
you finally met the king of the road
the engine sound is awesome👌but the cameraman is annoying. constantly: oh year ohohooo….
Scandia who'd a thought wow that's all I can say
Hi Buce, see what the IVECO TURBO STAR 190-48 is, V8 biturbo, 17100 cc, a real monster...
Stop destroying Ronny Ceuster's truck and restore it, it's a piece of history for people from Belgium😢
I'm a swede, and I APPROVE 🫡
For all the baby back bitches, buy your own truck and stop crying about what others do with stuff they own. You should have found and bought the truck not cry.
restore it!!!!!!
Welp I’m buying a Scania now
Ripping up gravel and dust without air filter will ruin your engine fast!
Georgetown Pallet and Mulch in Georgetown IL has a Scania on its yard...it's a conventional though. They were using to move trailers last time I was there
One thing that I have noticed is that every time Bruce starts the Scania up he uses the accelerator, he has no clue how to start a European truck period.
Drove these hard with heavy loads, they can handle a bit of abuse.
You don't know the value of that truck, you're ruining it
You've already proven that European trucks are way better, sturdier and more fun than American trucks.
You also seem determined to destroy that Scania with doughnuts and burnouts.
That said, one can only take so much burnouts before it becomes boring.
I'm out.
There is no art to destroy, art is to build and restore
What a fckn butcher, I was looking forward to a restoration.. not a let's see how we can screw this truck up.. 😮
Dang Bruce a lot of but not all butthurt Europeans. Sell it to me, i have plenty of tannerite... I'll tune it up.. fix it for good.
@@ontheroadagain4773 he makes a good living destroying equipment younger and some older love destruction. I'm with you part it out or don't purchase it at all. But that wouldn't get many views. My neighbor got a Red-eye hellcat challenger. Revs that sucker up so high you think it's gonna blow up. I'm guessing Bruce makes around $700,000 a year on UA-cam. Real popular ones make millions. Buying Lamborghinis and huge houses. I think you and I are in the wrong business.
These videos are sweet man
Yo, how much for that 2nd gen ram 1500
Lets see..you beat the crap out of the truck. When you break it your like wtf it broke.
Scania driver from 🇳🇴 Norway
you''ll overheat it and get i spun bearing and thats the end mate, the truck is giving you the last opportunity to stop and treat it as it should be, is a work truck, use it to haul and move your other projects, on the highway thats the natural habitat of this truck, the roads, turning in circles and burn out is not
As living in Sweden I love this SCANIA series
i'm not sure why bruce buy this truck for?
he not gonna use it for trucking so why?
he say's he wanna fix it up and stretch it for a custom look why?
now he just want it for a burnout truck why??
the only reason i started watching this channel's video's is because i thought i would see an IRL trucker getting an awesome & unique rig, fix it up & do loads with it...
guess i wasted my time.
I drive a Scania the best truck I've ever driven never let me down and has over a million miles on it and still drivers and pulls like a new one just top trucks
I can agree! I've driven a lot, Mercedes, DAF, Renaults, Scania and Volvo's.
I can safely say I've never had issues with my Scania and DAF's. definitely two brands my heart goes to!
💪🏻🚛
Tried american conventional truck after european cabovers - never goin back to european trucks again.
Cant believe your actually sliding that thing, freakin awesome!!
I Bruce I come from the Netherlands and scania truck drive her around we have the new Scania on the company if those tire explode and you stand next to it you are dead. Or very urgent. I love to see a scania truck driving in the USA. I hope you make a beautiful beast off that bigg V8 keep on trucking 💪💪
Very hard to watch you destroy this beautiful truck Bruce, it could earn you so much being the only one in the states please restore it or make that euro/ American crossover
Haven't he learned from his previous experience yet??? His action almost caused the truck to be partially lit in fire.
what a great way to start a Sunday morning, Bruce's new Scania video!
We have here Euro6 engines, refering to emission standards. Probably was this a Euro3 engine but you made a Euro0 engine out of it! LOL!!!
Euro 3 was enforced from 2000, and Euro 2 was from 1996, so this thing would`ve been Euro 2 compliant, even if I suspect the changes to get later model year trucks to comply with Euro 3 standards would`ve been vary minimal. As it stands, this thing is absolutly Euro0, if not on par with the emissions of a coal powered locomotive...
And he wonders why his '24 Duramax is broken. Wonder if Brutus will drift??
Hammer it to death and then wonder how it got broken 😂😂🤷♂️
You need to haul stuff with this thing and make full use of it!
What do you have to wreck everything that you get you wrecked your pickup truck he also wrecked a semi-tractor I could have been saved
please sell that beautiful truck to someone who will take care of it
Ah yes the ole replace filters and now it wont start i chnaged the trans fluid in a ole crown vic one time after i changed it the car wouldnt move any more love the channel mich love from NASHVILLE
15:00 A bit sad to see that old Scania doing rings in sand dust without an air filter...
I'll try to stop by on my way to Strafford Missouri Saturday or Sunday on my way back to Dallas
