Thanks, BB! I'll never be able to compete with the bigger channels on videography or sheer volume of watches to show off, so maybe I can focus on history? Hmmm.... Really appreciate your take. Feel free to give me some constructive criticism if you ever feel the urge! 👍👍
The big crown pointer date with the blue dial was on my shortlist...but unfortunately lost out to Sinn. Awesome to see the watch content. Great watch, congrats, enjoy wearing it.
Thanks so much! No shame in losing to Sinn! They are on my short list and have been a long time. Hopefully will own one sooner rather than later. Which did you go with? Thank you for the comment and the support!
@@rockymtnstyle I was torn for the longest time between the 556i (loved the clean look of the black dial with indices) and the 856 UTC (if I was getting a Sinn I wanted one with the Sinn tech). The US distributor had a limited run 856i a few years back. Couldn't pass up on the dial I wanted in the case I wanted. Don't think I follow you yet on Instagram, will do that so you can see a pic if interested.
Excellent Patrick, one of your best segments. History is important too, much appreciated. Love this watch. Few missteps notwithstanding, Oris is top notch.
Thank you! Coming from you that means a lot. Happy to hear from a fellow watch lover that I'm headed in the right direction. Agreed on Oris. Think they are certainly on a nice upward trajectory!
I’m lucky enough to have owned this watch for 4 years now and it’s hard to describe how beautiful it is. Currently enjoying it on a tan leather strap that allows the red dial to pop out even more. Enjoy the watch!!
Nice review of the history and the watch. I subscribed and liked! I own the Clemente BCPD with the cream dial. The dial is stunning, and even slightly iridescent in the sunlight. You’re spot on about the feel of the brand. The BCPD is a versatile everyday watch. A true modern classic 👍🏽.
I just picked up the same watch but with blue dial. I too was pleasantly surprised at the design, and the quality compared to, say, comparably priced Swatch group products.
Great review Patrick, and I love the addition of watches into your content. I'm a huge fan of the brand. You mention their new Caliber 400 movements. I've got one in my Aquis and it's great. Highly recommend if anyone is shopping. Easily compares to Tudor in house and may even rival Roles/Omega movements. The price premium to go from a Selitta to this is well worth it, especially with the 10 year warranty and service interval.
Joseph! I knew I liked you for a reason (many reasons). That's so cool you've got the Aquis with the Caliber 400. I really want a dive watch (I have none really since I sold my Omega SMP 300M) and the Aquis in green that I showed in the video is at the top of my list. Glad to hear you think the premium is worth it (I tend to agree) and thank you for the support.
@@rockymtnstyle I got the grey dial, because the green wasn’t available. Amazing piece. If you can get your hands on the green Aquis, jump immediately. Funds no object, my next diver is a grand Seiko evolution 9 diver or the green dial JLC Polaris.
Thanks for watching, team! A few more watch reviews coming up in the next month or so!
Love the in depth view into Oris. I watch a lot of watch content and I don't think anyone has covered Oris like this, to my knowledge.

this is Nigh on my want list.Very very high. It's beautiful .I am envious .
Ahh thank you! I hope you get a chance to own one. Very lovely timepiece!
Great video and great watch. Looking forward to some more watch content in 2024!
Thank you, Andrew! Agreed- love this watch! Looking forward to bringing more!

Tan sounds sublime! Thank you for sharing!

Thanks very much! This was a fun video to put together.
Buying this watch to wear on my wedding day, adding the dark brown leather strap to it.
Wonderful choice. Congrats on your wedding!
@@rockymtnstyle Thanks! Not long to go, everything sorted apart from choosing the watch, but now settled on this one.
@@rockymtnstyle Great video by the way, helped me make the decision.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing. For me, id be happy with just about any of the colorways. Oris really did a great job on this piece. 👍
You know I love it!
Yup that's a given!!
Great video. I am a big fan. The dial color is great. I have my eye on a rectangle pointer date model from the 2000s.
Thanks, Zach! Just looked up the rectangle pointer date... Wow those were beautiful!

Great choices. Also didn't know the green was hard to get! I'll keep that in mind.
We love Oris
Me, too!! Great brand with wonderful pieces.
Agree
The strap doesn't last unfortunately, leather peelks off the top 😢, good watch but strap is terrible after few months depending on wear!
Ahh well that's a shame to hear! Mine still going strong, but I'll keep watch for upgrade time!
Keep it hush hush so folks don't try to charge retail+ second hand
Good point! Whoops!! Thx for the comment, friend!
