In this Photoshop tutorial, you'll learn how to use displacement maps to create customized textures that apply to your text, graphics, or logos. With these displacement maps, you can further enhance the blending effects by using Blend-If. With these two adjustments, you can make any image or graphic appear as if it was painted or stamped onto a texture in your photo.
As for clothing, it's a bit harder to blend graphics in this case. Luckily it's still relatively simple using liquify and a luminance mask to make your image appear naturally on the folds of the fabric.

Hmm…. you could’ve created a displacement map out of his shirt and it would’ve worked just as well if not better.
