Rhaenyra Targaryen
Rhaenyra Targaryen is the firstborn daughter of King Viserys I Targaryen and Queen Aemma Arryn. As a strong-willed and independent young woman, her father named her heir to the Iron Throne.
From her first marriage to Ser Laenor Velaryon, she has three sons: Jacaerys, Lucerys, and Joffrey. She shared a close bond with her sworn protector Ser Harwin Strong, but despite there being speculation around her children's legitimacy, Rhaenyra maintained that Laenor was their father.
To strengthen her family's claim, Rhaenyra married her uncle Daemon. Together they have two children of their own, Aegon and Viserys.
Following her father's death, Rhaenyra must defend her claim to the Iron Throne and rally support in the realm.

Ruby Pendant
A gift from Prince Daemon to his niece Princess Rhaenyra, this small pendant sits on a chain, with metalwork that resembles swirling grey and black smoke. It is inset with a blood-red ruby and made from Valyrian steel, an ode to their ancestral home.
Red Dress
While visiting Driftmark, Rhaenyra wore an opulent red dress accented with a dragon-head belt.
Wedding Regalia
After naming Rhaenyra heir to the throne, King Viserys sought to have her married. Despite searching far and wide throughout the realm for the proper suitor, she refused every proposed match. The king ultimately decided she would marry Laenor Velaryon, fortifying the alliance between House Targaryen and House Velaryon and making them the strongest unit in all of Westeros. In recognition of this union, Rhaenyra's wedding ensemble features the sigils of both houses.
Black Dress
After learning Vaemond Velaryon's intentions to challenge Luke's claim to Driftmark, Rhaenyra heads to King's Landing to defend her son's inheritance. She wears a decadent off-the-shoulder black dress with two red dragons stitched to the bodice of the garment, paying homage to House Targaryen.
Jaehaerys I's Crown
Jaehaerys I Targaryen, the fourth king of the Targaryen dynasty, was the longest-reigning king in the history of the Seven Kingdoms. His crown of yellow gold is a symbol of his reign and in turn a representation of peace and prosperity. It was worn by Viserys I until his passing, and used by Rhaenyra’s supporters to anoint her as queen.

Twice in as many episodes Daemon has held the very thing he has wanted all his life, in his hands, yet chose to place it on the head of it's rightful owner.
The true protector of the realm.. i dont think he truely wanted it. Hes seen what it brings. Hes the man that tries to keep it all together for the sake of his name and his family.

It doesn’t fall on Rhaenyra even though if I was in Rhaenyra place I would have protected my baby sister along with her children. War is bad enough especially when it’s instigated and children die. But to keep it going knowing your family line will eventually vanish is ridiculous. Otto was an asshole who wanted nothing but the throne
This scene makes me so emotional- the score, the acting, the way he risked his life to bring her her fathers crown…incredible
I cried like a baby during this scene. Sir Eerycks voice along with the music was everything.

Ser Erryk had massive balls of steel for stealing Visery’s crown then flee and swore an oath to Rhynerya
He knew Aegon was a scumbag rapist who watches his illegitimate children suffer and fight to the death for entertainment and then to top it all they put that piss poor excuse for a human on the throne, I'm not surprised he decided to serve Rhaenyra and give her what is rightfully hers.

He had a lot of practice in The Crown
I love this scene even more when you juxtapose it with Aegon's coronation. No one truly bowed to him even when he wore the conquer's crown and had his sword. But when Rhaenyra was crowned everyone bowed on their own free will acknowledging her as their Queen.
I was upset seeing Aegon wearing the Conquerors crown. They had no right. Rhaenyra was robbed of her birthright

She was remaining neutral until she noticed that Rhaneyra was trying to keep the realm peaceful, and in turn, she then convinced her husband to back Rhaneyra's claim to the throne.
@@snieves4Why would an equal bow? Rhaenys by right should be queen. Both legally and through qualifications everyone including Viserys knew she should have worn the crown.
I see it as Rhaenyra and Rhaenys recognizing eachother as equals.
Aegon's coronation was cold but grand, Rhaenyra's was shoddy but heartfelt and true.

Ser Erryk was a true knight, served the king and swore to obey his commands and he did.
He honoured his wish that his daughter was to be the heir.
I loved how the stylists emulated Viserys' look through Rhaeneyra's hair, such a sweet touch
I think people forget how much Daemon loved his brother and how he is the only person (besides Rhaenyra) he was absolutely loyal to.
His heartbroken face when looking at the crown - that wasn’t him looking at a throne he lost, he was grieving his brother, who was almost synonymous to that crown in his time. It tore him apart seeing him gone, with only the crown left.
I’m not a Daemon apologist, but you can’t deny he loved his brother more than anything.

Ser Erryk chose to stay true to the kingsguard vows. To follow the kin's commands, and now, he follows the true queen of the iron throne
This scene made me cry. Even Daemon bent the knee even after touching the very crown he’s always wanted. Rhaenyra deserved better. Going through the heartbreak of losing her father and her first born daughter. Then later in the episode lose her boy.
Daemond never wanted the crown. He just wanted the respect of his brother and to be his brothers hand. He always respected his brother as king but just in his own snarky way.

such a simple scene but carries so much weight. Closing of what's happened (funeral) and the opening of what's to come. When the score comes in and out is perfect. Every couple months I find myself rewatching just this scene.
the way that daemon looked at her at 0:34 -- you could tell that he wanted to take her pain and angusih away. i feel that it even reminded him of aemma's funeral, watching rhaenyra keep her composure. after all of the pain she experienced in one-day (finding out her father was gone, that the kingdom that kneeled for her - betrayed her, and losing her baby girl, as well...)
Book readers love Ser Erryk and his steadfast loyalty.

In the book, it is Steffon Darklyn brings Rhaenyra the crown and becomes her lord commander. House Darklyn was infamous for providing most members to the Kingsguard out of all Westerosi houses, and white coats of the Kingsguard were on their banner. House Darklyn was sadly wiped up by a Mad King before Game of Thrones began.
Erryk Cargyll is one of two knights guarding her on Dragonstone, and he and his twin brother likely appeared on different sides of the war only due to this fact. As Cargylls are bannermen of Lannisters, they followed them... but Erryk chose his life and Rhaenyra.
Erryk saw what a scumbag Aegon was, Rhaenyra may have produced illegitmate children but her sons weren't cruel and sadistic like Alicent's sons and Rhaenyra never fed them poison about Alicent's sons either. Aegon was a piece of shit putting him on the throne was a mistake he'd be another Maegor for sure

She didn’t want civil war but she could have fought and won the iron throne if she chose to. I would have in her position rather than be passed over for a man.
