Wait a minute. Planet of the Apes TV show was very good quality! The cast (Including Mark Lenard from Star Trek), acting, production and writing all world-class! The ONLY problem I had with the show was the change of setting from the east coast (Like in the POTA movie, 1968) to the west coast. Not withstanding even the movie was shot in California, it was the setting of the east coast, as revealed in the giant twist near the end. The $250,000 per episode in 1974 is equivalent to $1.58 million today, so it was not cheap. Also, it had to compete with Sanford and Son and Chico and the Man on NBC, and those shows were monsters. The biggest problem was that it was three years too early. In 1977, Star Wars hit the theaters and science fiction became all the rage. Anyway, Ron did a great job and he will be missed. I hope he felt appreciated during his lifetime, because he was.
LL Bean was born in the very small town of greenwood maine.I live right up the street and imagine what his boyhood was like in the western maine mountains..
Please shorten bios... I will not use again your site...there are others and they cover more. If this is a bio site ,just say so some like this. Thanks for listening.
