I disagree, but not because of ego, have this combo and yes agree it attracts people but I've probably spent a good majority of my life avoiding the attention. Actually hate it, feel like people want something I can't give them.

Do you have rahu in the 7th house? It's exactly how I feel. It must be cause ketu is in the 1st.
Could be whole lot of reasons for that. Sun might be debilitated or sun might in nakshatra that is bad for it

I have sun rahu conjunct in the 6th house in Leo. I think my rahu manifests mostly positively (?) lol. As in I’m not an ego maniac or a charlatan. I also hate being in the spotlight 😖 Nor do I feel comfortable in leadership. I prefer to be in the background rather than out front. This I think means I’m still more strongly identifying with or retreating to Ketu (in 12th house Aquarius). In real time it has meant, I’ve ended up with egotistical domineering and at times abusive people. I’ve consistently “outsourced” direction or responsibility to others. When in many of these experiences had I been centred confident in my own “knowing”, had I stepped into leadership much suffering would’ve been avoided. Nearing 40 it’s still hard. Still battling psychological, and physiological repulsion to spotlight and even compliments 😅
It's actually the other way around, since we don't really know about ourselves that much , I wouldn't never turn off this video. I actually want an hour (or more) long video on this subject.
I have a sun rahu combination and I am a female. I often find difficulty working with others. Rahu also denotes electronics or computers. I am IT engineer and I am good at it and most of the times my bosses are often threatened by my skills. I also have problems with bosses. People find me very attractive and I get all the attention although I am not an attention seeker. But I tend to dress well and behave very well in public. My sun is debilitated. But I have parivarthana yoga and neechbhang raj yoga for sun. My sun rahu combination is in the 11th house of Libra.

Aries Rahu/ Sun 10th house. Not selfish at all, don't need validation. Am driven for individuality and originality, but to bring joy to humanity. From my experience, the difficulty is from others, people around me become insecure and have to prove they are powerful. Others are threatened by me for being grounded and knowing who I am in myself. I totally recognize the part about being overly confident and then crashing.

I have this in D9- the navamsha. My father had this in his birth chart, couldnt stand being around him honestly; mainly there were of the things mentioned; and he had many wonderful and brilliant qualities, but his love for me was eclipsed, it was far away from me. I have it in the sixth house in Aries in navamsha.

I have sun Mars Rahu and Mercury conjunction and this is correct until you go through your Saturn return and start to understand and evolve.
The main them here is the need to individuate this life time. After life times of being the spouse or carer or community person. And never establishing who you are.
These planets at Rahu are finding themselves and of course there is going to be issues when you are learning something new. It's not evil or bad how this is being explained.
I think what bothered me about this video as I do evolution astrology, is that it's super negative and not taking in to consideration someone who has evolved these planets and aspects. And has an understanding of themselves.
I have the same conjunction as you and I totally agree with you on the Saturn return as I also had an awakening during that time. Also the placement of this conjunction is important so I don’t think he can cover everything and in general it’s a challenging energy. Since mine is in Gemini and mercury is there it makes Rahu less harmful. I think it always get better with time regardless of placement.
Being a person whos experienced/experiencing this energy very intensely (Sun and Rahu conjunction in the ascendant/aries) i can say your points are very valid here Ryan. I've been working rigorously to tame this energy and what I've discovered so far is the key word for us is HUMILITY... True humility that penetrates the internal nature because it's all to we'll for us to say/think something like "ohhh that's how it works...so I'll just pretend to be humble to get the goal" in an attempt to manipulate this gs around us to fit our desires.
The spiritual potential others mentioned to you is contained within the capability for these individuals to pursue huge things without regard for morality/fairness to other/and only seeing what we want like you mentioned "making everything about us" (rahu influence on Nobel sun I believe) and these ventures must necessarily bring MASSIVE crashes...these unusually epic painful *SELF INFLICTED* crashes act as a catapult in the same way that Saturn's painful lessons are ment to bring understanding. It was here I learned that "rahu behaves like Saturn" and ketu - Mars...and with this combination these lessons are more concentrated and consistent UNTIL one finds the ghost then he/she can begin to work with the energy opposed to allowing it to run rampant. Of course this could be just my experience as I have 8th house/Scorpio Saturn with all three aspect active in my main birth chart... Jupiter in the 10th, Mars in the 2nd, AND Moon in the 5th. BUT THESE ARE MY GREATEST STRENGTHS AND CHART PLACEMENTS. It has great potential for understanding but only once you accept what must be done and more importantly HOW things must be done. I have this combo and it's true that relationships come and go. Even though I'm not power hungry or egotistical, or have overconfidence issues, and I do have healthy self-esteem. But others seem to be the illusion to me. But I can be naive in situations, esp with others. It really sucks :(
I have this combination on my Navamsa in the 9th house in Cap. (and I watched it till the very end!). I grew up learning that to be connected I had to help others and suppress my own needs. However over the last few years I have been cutting off from people to whom I've helped creating this dynamic, and suddenly found much more time to dedicate to my creative purpose, to the point of being my main source of income. Cutting off many of those people and change that dynamic helped me channelling my creativity onto the right place. So, I guess in this aspect is a very good strengthening factor... Thanks, Ryan! I had a boyfriend with Sun/Rahu in the sign Cancer in 3rd House. I was his language tutor at first. After one year using my time and energy helping him (for free) with his linguistic career-related studies, the week he graduated, he said: "if I have to break up with you because you're a foreigner and my future career doesn't allow me to interact with foreigners, then sorry, I'll have to do that." Now that I am in a better place in my life, I can see he was just acting out his Sun/Rahu ;-)

Sun is the natural "atmakaraka", i.e. significator of soul. The soul signifies inner light or consciousness, which are also the attributes of Sun. Rahu is a chhaya grah (shadow planet) and it has the ability to mimic the planet it is paired with; this is what the demon Rahu-Ketu did when amrit (nectar of immortality) was being offered to the devatas by Lord Vishnu in Mohini roop, Rahu-Ketu (Svarbhanu) took the disguise of a devata and drank nectar. He was incidentally called out by Sun & Moon that he now eclipses.
Svarbhanu, which means splendour of radiance can easily disguise as the Sun. The problem it creates is deep-often people look inside for profound answers for various life situations. This is what one calls "gut feeling". Now, when a native with Rahu-Sun conjunct looks inside, it can be sometimes difficult to distinguish between one's soul or the illusion of a soul being created by Rahu. This can create various problems as the native can be quite confident or even adamant that she / he is making the right decision while it could probably be the maya of Rahu creating illusions in the mind.

Interestingly, my sun has rahu/sun conjunction and I just can't see that this describes him. He also has Ketu on his ascendant. He's just not like this at all....he's balanced, kind, gentle and has been a lifelong vegan and very much not egotistical. He's the most balanced person I've ever seen, and in fact, I consult with him to get balanced myself. I am wondering if I should do his vedic chart.

I always wondered why I don't keep relationships for a long time. I'm a Capricorn ascendant with Sun & Moon conjunct Rahu in the 12th house in the sign Sagittarius. There was a time where I would talk with so much knowledge that I read on books about the ego but the reality of it was I didn't know nothing. I'm a female and my ex boyfriend would get frustrated with me because he would clearly catch me since he had that initial knowledge. I would agree 100% with not knowing who I am inside. I have Rahu Sun Mercury conjunction in the 10th house in Virgo. I must say that your description suits my old personality very well. I couldn't stand it when my partner tried to be an individual. I had an obnoxious behaviour towards him. I wanted to look good to everybody else and I took all y frustration out on those who were ths closest to me. Then I discovered astrology and started working on my Rahu, I forced myself to be submissive towards all authorities and I think I have much beter relationships with people now. I am also into sone serious spiritual practices.

The only part that resonates is thinking I'm smarter than everyone else.
For all my life I allways thought others were smarter than I,
and I loved it, its delightful hearing others histories, thoughts and ideas. Only a few good friends spanning decades, but well acquainted with many from all sections of society.
Then I realized that on the whole everyone is really dumb as a post. Mostly its their ego crippling being authentic with themselves, that is irratating.

Found this today. I know an entertainer (South Korean Idol) who has this combination. Sun/venus/rahu in Libra. I read his interview that he wants to be recognized because of his creative talents, not just because of his good looks. Physically he's extremely beautiful with very masculine features, perhaps because he has moon/mars/jupiter conjunction in Scorpio. If I'm not mistaken, Mars gives neech bang to his Sun. He executes extreme masculine aura effortlessly. He left his country to pursue entertainment career in South Korea. He openly gave middle finger to people who have been stalking him and his band mates. LOL. Notorious.
My guts tell me that he has savior complex to show that he's capable of doing many things. Several times I watched him with his band mates, he looked uncomfortable and wanted to be left alone with his own thoughts, but took initiative to get things done tho'. One of his band mates said that he approach life with naivety.

I'm a female, born one day after a total solar eclipse, with a Sun/Rahu conjunction in the 10th house (Pisces). Neptune is in Capricorn, exactly conjunct my Descendant & Jupiter at the very beginning of Taurus. (In Tropical Astrology). I did notice all through my life (I'm 28) that I project a very strong image of myself, mostly, because of the way I talk and argue (Mercury, though debilitated in Pisces, is part of the Sun/Rahu conjunction). I'm very assertive and appear to know exactly what I'm talking about to the point where others automatically put me in the "leader" position. They listen to me & trust my judgement without me having to make an effort and though I often feel quite unsure, deep inside. It's really strange and uncomfortable at times : I do aspire to be "recognized" in my field of study (psychology/criminology...very Piscean ! lol) but I know that it takes hard work and experience... People tend to forget I'm still young and, although I appear to be smart and skilled, I'm still learning ! It's a constant work in progress. You are very wise about the overcompensation, typically insecure people inflate their ego with delusions and they get high off of it because they want and need it so bad so they end up overcompensating for their lack of self esteem. Which feels like self confidence in the moment, but its really not.

Over compensation with confidence... true and true! I have strongly over compensated for my abilities many times in life but luckily I do have the help of others who are much more experienced than me to dig me out of my own holes. It is a tough position but I "try" constantly to keep it in positive transformation mode.

I have this conjunction in my 8th house (by the equal house system) or 9th house (by the Vehlow, Sripati and whole signs systems) with Surya in the 4th pada of Satabhishaka nakshatra and Rahu in the 2nd pada of Satabhishaka nakshatra, with a Mithuna lagna at roughly 18 degrees as per the Raman or Pushyapaksha ayanamsas. I also have Sukra in the 8th/9th house, as well as Budha in the 8th house (in Makara).
As difficult as it would have been for me to go through this entire video without having an extremely negative emotional outburst even a few years ago, having reached the end of an absolutely terrible Ketu dasa and an equally painful Sani sade sati (Chandra in the 5th/6th house in Vrischika - Anuradha in the 3rd pada), I've developed the patience and self-awareness to accept that your description is quite accurate.
There is so much to work on with this positioning, most of all, one's sense of self and self-importance. And best of all, Sani and Ketu will beat you to a pulp if you resist.

I have a strong krittika aries sun and often have power struggles with people who are heavily influenced by rahu and sun, either by eclipse or rahu asterisms... although I have guru chandal and swati moon, my sun energy takes me to good places to fight these shadows in self, however im not often popular as i point out the emperor has no clothes... i find myself often trying to make sense of gaslighting which can become a psychological tool of confusion.

Wow. Sun & Rahu conjunct in Sagittarius in the 12th House here… it’s intense. It’s always felt intense. I’m learning about this part of my chart (while experiencing at 29 suddenly losing my job after chronic illness hit and flipped my life a few months ago-hello Saturn return 😐) and all this intensity is really making so much sense for the first time. Thank you for this. It was like, ridiculously hard to hear. But it also felt so true in my soul.

Thumbs up Ryan! I don't have Rahu conjunct Sun but I do have Sun as Dispositor for Pluto. And Pluto almost exactly manifests the attributes of Rahu in my view. Even more, I also have Sun and Pluto aspected by Trine by Jupiter. Although the selfish tendencies occur as you described by Rahu/Sun Conjunction, they are diminished by Jupiter's powerful trine aspect. Jupiter's Aspect is EVERYTHING!

My Rahu and sun are in the 8th house in conjunction with Mars and Jupiter. Some of what he said rang true. I am on a journey of growth. I love being alone most of the time. It allows my to go within often to do some inner work. My sun and moon are in its detriment. I'm the first to admit I'm not perfect. But it took some 50yrs of studying and introspection to get here.

Thank you for this great video I have rahu and sun in my second house. It was kind of hard to watch I will admit but it helped greatly ! This describes me as a child, but as I get older I’m learning to listen and find peoples point of views. My ascendant is Pisces and moon Virgo so I think that balances that sense of validation, I don’t seek attention, I’d rather be on my own as I feel misunderstood a lot.

I really like to nurture people around me which puts me in a situation where i want to be in more service/nurturing in public more than boosting my EGO. hi, what happens when rahu conjunct sun in 9th house Leo in female chart? sun in own house and rahu holding lowest degree, it is a 3 degree close conjunction and saturn is watching 9th house with 10th aspect. all texts are scary, saying she will be inmical with father or father will be far away or she might loose father in the early life. is it always true or are there any exceptions to this?

SEE, In sun and rahu combination just see in which nakshatra they are sitting ,if the lords of those nakshatra are well seated in your horoscope then this combination will give excellent result ,for example I have sun debilited in 10th house along with rahu and sun is sitting in the rahu nakshatra in libra and rahu is sitting in mars nakshtra ,and mars is exalted in first house this is why i dont have such problems after my 20 yrs of age ,before that i was struggling too with this combination

No Sun and Rahul in the same sign nakshatra by itself doesn't constitute an eclipse at birth. Moon has to be in the same sign (or opposite sign.). Are you forgetting basic astronomy here?

I have Sun + Moon + Jupiter + Rahu in Pisces. I have low self esteem and often don't know how to present my self. Like I can’t show my real self in social settings. Only one to one and going deep, I guess I’m intense. Aaaaahh
I don't think this combination is as extreme as you see it. I can recognise inflated ego in myself, but I'm also a very non-egocentric person, I can see the perspectives of others very easily (maybe that's me being a full moon native though). But I think this aspect doesn't produce an egomaniac like you're saying

Why is it more difficult to understand the explanation of a planetary conjunction in your own chart?
Good question. Maybe you have other things counterbalancing this and so you don't recognize it as much.

oh my god... this is a revelation for me... I have this combination in second house with Taurus ascendant & lord of 2nd house in the ascendant itself... I had lot of issues while growing up with parents and family around... moreover lot of ego issues with friends around... had trouble maintaining relationship... would never be able to understand what was wrong with me then, coz never had that insight... also had lot of issues in attaining early education... had a chequered career with lot of setbacks... would never get the desired results as compared to the input... more so there were insensible losses with respect to money when I look back... although all that has gotten better with time, may be due to some positive aspect or just that the planets have matured as I am 34, but I still have issues with my mother... do u have any advice or practices I can do to make this combination better.... also w.r.t. profession, I am into quite a conventional profession, which is medicine... although I have thought a lot of times of moving abroad ;) ... but on the contrary, I think you've nailed it with this video... excellent interpretation of what at least I have gone through in my life...

Focus on Rahu, let Ketu be what it is. Focus on your creative expression, you've spent enough lifetimes treating others as God, now you can treat your self that way, since you are God too.
