Also, I’m soooo glad that you ventured using the acrylic markers. I knew you would love the white coverage over your painting. That’s what you do with your watercolor!! You love to doodle & stuff & acrylic markers are great for doing that.
Ohhh Diane!! Laughing out loud at the sheep who sounded as if he/she was right beside you!!😂🤣 You just kept going and I wanted to be introduced!😆😁😊How absolutely adorable!!! I’ll come back after your painting is done!❤
I hardly even notice them bleating now, it’s part of the scenery!
Very Wonderfull and Awsome ,
Thanks for sharing. 👍👍👌👌😍😍💕💕
Diane, I love mixmedia. I have acrylic markers, acrylic paints, watercolor paints, alcohol markers, watercolor pencils & color pastels, & regular color pencils. And I also have pastels. I LOVE all mediums. I mix them & they work beautifully. Of course not all brands are created equal; just like watercolor.
You did a great job, although not your cup of tea. When one knows art, you go for it. Art is art & it’s beautiful.
One amazing quality with acrylic markers is that you can paint over the other colors & it has good coverage. And of course, when you work with a brand that has many other colors & greens, the job can be completed most satisfactory.
My motto is, when it comes to art, I will work with all & give it my very best. I like to expand my horizon & try all there is in art.
Very interesting and beautiful colors! ❤
I think the picture is quite charming with the greens that you have available. It's fun and happy.
Thanks, I was pleased with it too.
Wow! I love these pens, will definitely try them. Your painting is brilliant 😍. Love the sheep adding to conversation, so funny! 😂🐑
Im so glad you are doing a show on acrylic paint markers. I love them when I need quick convenience and of course in mixed media.❤️
You are so welcome! I’m going to do a bit more using them soon. They were fun. Don’t miss tonight’s video! ua-cam.com/video/1ZMjmQ00-r8/v-deo.htmlsi=JKh2S3Oxr3wRxqQf
Yikes! Don’t forget to recap. (The red one) Once acrylics dry they’re done. Lol. That’s why I love watercolor! Your picture is beautiful. I ALWAYS love your style and color choices.
Thanks for the reminder! They are all safely gathered in!
I love how you know your plants.
I’m so impressed by everything you and Tamsin do to keep us all learning new techniques and provide no peaceful therapy at the same time. and you’re right, my mom will love this. I think they’ll be much easier easier for her than painting. Thank you for mentioning that.
I’m excited for her!! I hope she enjoys them. (The lids are a bit tight, but I’m sure you’ll find a workable way!)
@@DianeAntoneStudio Thanks for your added bit of information. I just went to your link and ordered them for mum and me. We'll think of you while we create xo
That was such fun and relaxing.
I have been watching you for a couple of years now. and truly love everything you do.. thank you for your generosity..
You are so welcome x
Another fabulous painting but with a twist this time. The joy in your voice outweighs the sound of the markers and I think I need to paint “with ice cream”😂😂.... thanks again, Diane, for your inspiration and introducing me to these pens....already on order 😁🙏
Thanks for being brave for all of us Diane! 🙂I have never tried acrylic paints or markers, but I was cheering for you all the way through. It looked like you had fun creating this cute painting. So cool and different that you can actually go over previous colors. I especially liked the addition of black and white. Blessings
Yes, they are a lot of fun! Believe me after painting in watercolour every single day for four years I need a change from time to time! Glad you enjoyed it!
If I had any more room for any more stuff you might have convinced me that I need these! But, alas, I don't.
They are very small!
@@DianeAntoneStudio All my stuff isn't in a separate studio. Currently I'm working on my kitchen table with all my supplies either on the table or in a rolling cart I keep next to me which is overflowing--so even small is too much!
This was fun to see you experimenting with these pens!
Never visited but immediately thought of Mexico. So vibrant and uplifting. Thank you
Yes, that’s a very good point! I have been to Mexico and you’re right although the colours could be a bit more vibrant!
Thanks for showing how to use these markers. I've seen them but never tried them. It looks like fun.
You are so welcome!
You were very intuitive with these markers. You came up with a pleasing work of art. I think my first go may have looked like a kindergartener did it. Good work, Diane.
Thanks Lynne!
Wow...these acrylic pens are impressive! Thank you for a tutorial on using them and creating a very beautiful composition. As always, I can't get enough of Diane Antone tutorials. XO
Thanks Carolyn, if you haven’t tried them, I think you’d like them!
Interesting but don’t like the noise that it makes when you use the pens….. loved all the animal noises though !😂
@@DianeAntoneStudio If you like them, I'm sure I will too. Thank you.
Thanks Carolyn!!! Absolutely brilliant for children too and I wouldn’t be surprised if your mum liked them. The funny thing is they are completely different from felt tip pens as we know them. My daughter said that when she picked them up, they made her feel as if she wants to paint. This is wonderful coming from someone who is into Zentangle and line work more than anything else. As I said to someone else, after painting in watercolour every day for four years I think I deserve a little bit of a change!
I've been looking at acrylic markers for awhile and haven't bought any yet because I wasn't sure if I would really like them. You just convinced me that I have to get them, for sure. I see lots of possibilities in the future 😊
❤Fun!❤
This is amazing 🤩
Fun to watch 😊
My thoughts exactly Diane! 😊I think I have to wait until next week after our Florida vacation 🤞🏻💕 I am an optimistic 🎉
Fantastic I really enjoy these they really worked out fine and if I had a bigger bank account I would order them today right now! Hope to order them very soon! Thanks for posting!
Glad you like them!
Great fun
All new to me. Thanks so much!
You are so welcome!
Graphic design is always fun and fast. You are very good at it!! So different from watercolor. Like it!❤
Thanks Connie, it’s very interesting how they work!
Fun!!
Such fun 🌸
Gee never heard of them! Very cool. Your picture looks amazing 😍. Happy weekend!
Thank you! You too!
I love the v ibrant colors❤
surprised you have never used them! yes, once dry it is easy to paint over in any colour x
Yes, I’d never come across them before. Very interesting product!
I enjoy acrylic markers and no white t-shirt is safe around me. Or the markers. This week I have been using inktense. Pencils to do a splotchy purple fading to teal background with a big dragonfly, front and center. It is time I put the t-shirt on to determine where the wings of the dragon fly should be placed and remain symmetrical and decent. Being and old woman with excessive tissue on my chest, I must be cautious when placing such things on a shirt. There will be fabric paint in fine diamond glitter throughout the wings allowing the color to show through from the background. TMI, I am sure, the direction I was heading was to say that I haven’t used acrylic markers on paper. Glass, pottery and apparel. Not apparel because I really only paint plain white t-shirts, in a vain attempt to prevent them from looking like my father’s with a pack of Camels roll up in my sleeve. No matter what I do, they don’t stay boxy and crisp so I make the bad look ridiculous. It’s time I retired them, I think. The 60’s are over, I have disposed of all of my fringe and button up Levi’s and the t-shirts need to go. Sigh. Dressing like a little old lady does not come easy. My jeans have been replaced with leggings and Army issue Polartex combat boots. And ridiculous t-shirts that my eldest conservatively dressed 50 year old would never forgive me for wearing in public.
I bought these & got them a few days ago. They are really very nice. Mine, however, has no numbers on them to match the color chart. But it’s fine. I just wish they had more shades of greens & reds. I like that you can layer on top of another color. 💜🎨🖌️
Me too, no numbers and first four were dried out on one end, grrrr
@@mollygilfillan6551so far I’ve had one of the pinks almost dried out.
Love these markers. My hand is hovering over the keyboard to order them🤣
You won’t regret it!!!!
I am interested to see what "they" come out with. I love pictures of pots. I'd like to see the one you showed at the beginning a bit longer. I love watercolor, so probably will stick with that. I love the movement of the color on the page, which no markers will do. Also, I couldn't stand not to be able to mix the colors for a blended look. It would probably take a lot to do that. Hence the large totes of alcohol markers. I did enjoy watching the process!
Someone told me that you can blend the acrylic marker paint, I will have to try that. But I’d never give up watercolor, it’s just a different medium which is interesting to know about and play with!
Realy lovely 😍
Thank you! 😊
I ordered them right away from your store link! Would be fun to see them mixed on a watercolor!
Yes, I’m going to try them as mixed media soon with watercolor!
Thank you for another wonderful mixed media idea! I put these in my Amazon cart - let’s see if my husband is generous and buys the Lightwush Acrylic Markers along with my Kuretake Art Nouveau set 😅 Looking forward to the next tutorial! ❤
Keeping my fingers crossed for you!! They would be an ideal complement to the Art Nouveau set!
Wow, you make everything beautiful 🎉❤. I love this painting!
You always inspire me! I never thought about using the acrylic markers to make an entire piece! I got them to do embellishments as they usually cover well
Love what you do (and I laughed out loud when you were sorting and asked if we were enjoying the process! And I did!😂)
Yes, but they are so different from any other kind of marker I’ve ever used it would be a shame not to use them to make a painting with! I am planning to do some more and try out some other ideas! If you do buy them I’m sure you’ll love them!
@@DianeAntoneStudio
I look forward to seeing what you do next! I have some right now but will use your link when I need more 😊
Very nice. I like how opaque they are. ❤
Hi Diane! These acrylic pens look like a lot of fun. I think my granddaughters would love them too, and I'm wondering if the white one would do a good job when we need to use a white pen in our watercolor painting? I'm also wondering if the two mediums could be combined some way with these pens. Might be very interesting. Thank you Diane☺
Hi Jeanie, yes they are a lot of fun! I’m absolutely sure that children would love them and they’re not expensive so why not! The white one definitely will work over other colours - just have to make sure you let the one underneath dry first. And I’m sure that they will combine perfectly with watercolour - for example adding shadows over a base coat of watercolour paint. Loads of possibilities - looking forward to experimenting!
This is so cute! Thank you for being so adventuresome!
You’re very welcome! They made a pleasant change from watercolour for once!
I haven’t tried painting with markers. I am just learning watercolor as I am self taught. My paints are MGraham paints. I watch you all the time and I am still learning from you.
I love this!!
What fun and fun watching something totally new to you! :). Love your painting...AMAZING!!!! I have some acrylic markers and they do come in non pastels....primaries (sp?) and bolds.
What brand have you got for the brighter colors Kathy?
I enjoyed your magical mystery tour, seeing you use markers for the first time. I have some brush markers that may get a 2nd chance.
Please do! They are inspiring.
Such a different look with these markers…I wonder how they would work on smooth paper
Wow Diane...that was great. Thank you.
Those acrylics pens are the best I have seen....so wonderfully rich and creamy and I have tried quite a few!
I really want some of those! Love your picture...you are a great inspiration...always coming great up with something new and wonderful
for us. Great video 😊
Hi Hilary, yes they are lovely pens. Completely different from anything I’ve ever used before and absolutely not like old-fashioned felt tip pens. They don’t leave any lines or streaks and are just absolutely perfect in the application. I did enjoy using them very much! And I will be using them again!
I use these a lot! Absolutely wonderful!❤ Use different manufactured ones and have noticed that the watercolor pens seem to not hold their color long enough. But oh this is a wonderful way to paint and draw!
Wonderful!
@@DianeAntoneStudio I've not tried acrylic ones yet but I will! Acrylic is the medium I use. BTW love this artwork!❤
Hi Diane, I purchased these pens. They are lovely to work with. I’m just waiting for another tutorial from you using them . 😂 Thank you.
Wonderful! I’m learning too but will be sharing what I discover!!❤️
When I first hit your link they were $15.99. When I purchased it was $17.99.
But still a great price and discounted from $25 or so.
So I’m satisfied
I don’t know why they change the price like that. Sorry about that but I think you’ll have fun with them!
Oooo, the colours really seem like paint on a stick! Am i right in saying these look like really lovely colours? Nicer than usual? They look like they wilud be great for marking! I have alcohol markers but ive never really got into them, i quite like the pastel kind of look of these?much nicer than average felt tips for sure, they look look painterly! Love them!
Hi, yes they are exactly like paint on a stick! My daughter said they make her want to paint, and that’s quite an achievement! They are lovely colours and they all go together. They are somewhat similar to the Kuretake art nouveau set and I think they would make a good compliment to them. They are absolutely nothing like old-fashioned felt tip pens which I have never used with any pleasure. They are very rich and creamy and give a completely streak free finish which is very professional looking. It’s so easy to think you know everything about the materials that are available, but I certainly didn’t know anything about these until I tried them.
You can also use them on gelli plates to make prints! Can it be any better than that!
Lovely work
Thanks Amanda!
lol. Filling in that chart is like playing bingo.
You are so right!!😂
Just love this! I’m a beginner in watercolor ………should I try this one so soon?
I enjoyed this tremendously, Diane. For some reason my computer turned off my subscription when I was sick. So I redid it today and I'm sorry I've missed some. I did immediately buy them. Weren't as cheap as I thought they'd be, but still less than $1per pen. Thank you for a fun trip to Diane Land. XOXOJANE
Hi Jane and welcome back! So glad you are feeling better and I hope you enjoy the acrylic pens, they are really good for quick mood sketches, a warm up or just the basis for some pen and ink!
I love the colours and the backround-choir😅
Bleeding hearts
Ok, I'm on patrion for 1 year, is it that I get notifications?
I’m not sure I understand Karen.
@@DianeAntoneStudio ok, I paid for the one year patrion, now I've got to get back into it.
Hey I just opened my markers, so disappointed: 1) mine do not have the numbers on the end, have no idea what colors they are and 2) of the fist 4 I tried one end is dried out. I’m disappointed. I’ll have to return them and hope the next ones will fix the problem, or not?
Wonder how long they will last. I’ve heard they dry pretty quickly
Great demo of the acrylic markers with endless possibilities. Could the be used on a hello plate?
Yes, I looked it up on UA-cam and you definitely can do gelli prints with them, very effective. I might give it a go!
FYI you can mix colors just like water color to get the colors you don't have 😉
Thanks Deb, I’ll give it a try!
In US 60 for 15$ what a bargain! I think I might need😀
Amuse toi bien mon amie , bises a bientot
I bought a set of these acrylic markers, just received them today and so far the markers I used, look great, but when I went to swatch them out, there are NO numbers on the caps. They are all missing the end plugs and therefore no numbers.
I think you could contact the manufacturer and they will replace them.
Would you like to try our travel brush?
Would you kindly send more information by email? Thanks.
@@DianeAntoneStudio I've sent you an email, you can check it out when you have time.☺
I bought these and they are lovely but my pens aren’t numbered and I don’t know how to swatch them now. They are out of order in my box. Any ideas?
It is odd that they give them numbers on the color chart but the pens themselves are not numbered. Frustrating!
Hi Andrea, have you checked the end of the cap? It’s not very easy to see, but mine are numbered there. If not, why not contact the manufacturer for help?
@@DianeAntoneStudio LOL!! I swore I had checked them for numbers including the caps. The caps are indeed numbered-yay!!! I love these pens. They are super fun and much easier to use than Posca pens. Thank you!!!
🐨👍
I live in Cornwall. Don’t think the paper company is still around.
No, I looked it up and they wound up their company quite a few years ago sadly. But I have put links to some other paper which would be suitable.
Yeah those markers you can do many things with. Not the Same as watercolor though. Really but fun. 😂. Have fun. JK FLORIDA USA 🇺🇸.
I think they might be useful as a mixed media addition.
Thank you for your time on this project. These are not for me, do not think i have the patience for them.
Strangely enough, I would’ve said the same thing myself until I actually tried them!
My 342 th . very nice composition . But the noice the markers make is not my cup of Thea. It sounds lightly as a nail over a school board. But never mind . I gave a thump up and this comment so UA-cam is satisfied. Sorry , not every video takes me into heaven😂😂
Very funnyWim! I can see what you mean about the noise of the markers but the result of them outweighs the pain of hearing them! It’s possible that if I had used smoother paper they would have been less noise. As you know this was the first time I’ve ever picked them up! I challenge you to try them!
