I just bought the X version with the mount in place of the focus wheel. I will be using it with an LGV60. My android phone sees and fully can use the Aochuan app but using the gimbal zoom switch doesnt work well when it comes to focusing as the zoom increases. Cant wait to experiment as this is my first gimbal. Oh love that it was only $67 on Amazon.
Oh my goodness..... so many features! I thought gimbals were about keeping the shot level, but obviously there is so much more to it. And it all seems so useful too, not just a bunch of gimmicks. As always - great review. Thank you
I brought the other one not the pro and it’s not water proff if you get it wet it will charge but it won’t turn on I was so upset when I got it wet never again but the pro was the one I wanted can’t wait to get it
I think I've decided to buy this one despite the limitations I've heard on other reviews. The most important feature of a gimbal (aside from its obvious purpose) for beginning userslike me would be the display of which mode I'm in (OM5 doesn't), and some basic aids for better photos/videos like an ambient source of lights and the manual focus. If you want 360 degree of rotations (or more) along most axes, I believe the best budget gimbal I've seen on YT is the Hohem isteady mobile plus. But I don't mind not having 360-degrees of rotation on each axis as long as I can make some decent travel shots. I also would've loved the OM5 for portability but the Aochuan Smart X Pro to be just as pocketable as well. 😊 Edit: I almost forgot... the BEST and perhaps underrated feature of this device IMO is the battery. We used to have Nokia phones where you can simply replace swap the batteries in just a few seconds. Now all mobile phones need with a fair amount of caution just to be opened for battery replacements.
I bought this smart X Pro and before even starting, I got disappointed coz the clamp grip isn't good. I'm using a pixel pro 6 with moment case + lens. So gripping the case is quite scary as I'm worried the phone might drop. So quite disappointed with my purchase.
when you say Normal shots... do you mean, so it can just keep it steady but follow it around, you can set this in FPV mode, or try out some of the other modes... there is like tilt lock and follow lock
My Motorola phone doesn't see the app. I can get all the gimbal functions but it stops there. Think I will send it back. I have a moto g Stylus 2021. AND getting my phone into the gimbal is difficult, to say the least. Disappointing for an Android Motorola phone user.

That's all well and good if you own an iPhone. Most if not all are geared toward ios system. This I feel wouldn't be good for android userss.
