I’ve been watching a lot of your videos this last week as I am hunting for a new laptop. The fact that I only understand half of what you are talking about means I shouldn’t be spending a lot of money on it 😅 But this video got me veeeery excited and really can’t wait for the full review ! Hope they sell it in Australia !
Just ordered one of these a few days ago and waiting for it to arrive. Looking forward to having a better tool for Adobe CC. One note, the pen is magnetic and will stick to the side (at least a straight pen, not sure about the bent one). Thanks for the review… just confirmed that I made the right choice.
On your full review, I would really be interested in what you think of the hinge quality and longevity expectations. I bought an MSI Stealth 17" 2 years ago, around 10 months the hinge started coming apart (no drops on floor) and now I have it taped up in 4 places as the hinges come out of the main body, and rim around monitor is separating. From what I read, warranty would not cover it as "it is considered a cosmetic issue". I swore I would never buy another MSI after that- but this machine looks awesome. But I don't want to spend a lot of money on something that won't hold up.
I hope you include Lightroom & CaptureOne in the full review. I think a lot of commercial photographers who shoots tethered, will go for this device (Especially those who shoot tethered outdoors). I have been looking for a Windows laptop for a year, which I can shoot tethered with it out of my studio for 7-8 hours. Naturally, I will use the maximum brightness and I expect the battery life to last 7-8 hours while I'm shooting tethered with Lightroom.
Yes it is poorly designed when it comes to the thermals so it overheats at the slightest of challenges. I regret the purchase and I now distrust MSI products because of it.
Will be curious to see your benchmarking and opinion on the dual video. It runs both a discrete Nvidia as well as Iris Xe on the mainboard from what I can tell. It switches based on usage (assuming for power consumption). You can force it, which I did, but running the Nvidia all the time definitely cuts into battery life.
Saddly, every new laptops or tablets are not or might not be available in Canada. Canada will probably never see the release of most of the laptops people do a review on. It sucks to not be able to get a new laptops without getting it from ebay and from the USA.
Hi Ben, I just got this laptop. Its brand new. Ever since I got it theres a split second glitch which happens occasionally. Down the middle of the screen I get a jolt of rainbow colours that flash for literally split second. Any advice please?

I would get in contact and move forward as you feel comfortable to resolve the issue. I do not have any other active social channels I am only on UA-cam. I have a LinkedIn but I am NOT active on it.
As a creator, I would be most interested in how the pen performs in pressure-sensitive situations using apps like Photoshop, Illustrator, or ZBrush.

I had a similar problem with HP Omen. One of the worst hinges ever.
Would you go for this of you want to do serious gaming only in weekend 😅and draw with photoshop every day? Not sure what to get...

7:07 All trackpads are different for different type of laptop. Gaming are tall and big, business or content creation are narrow.

They have a new z16 p which comes with a pen and has a bigger track pad I think it also comes with 3070 ti will there be a review for that one?
the larger z17 has hdmi and bigger screen just add around $250 . has more ram too! more bang for your buck

Saw that coming
It has been replaced by the E16 Flip A12 with 12th gen i7 processor.
It hurts my eyes looking at the off center touchpad.
