This was my favorite Football game back during the 90s on SNES. Me & my brother would pick teams from all 28 NFL teams & sometimes we would just leave them as SKP & skip the season, other times we would label them all MAN then if our chosen teams we chose played each other we just choose to play the game & label one as COM. We'd try different ways like that to try making the game more fun. Best way though was choosing our 1 NFL team & play our weekly games. His is Cleveland Browns & mine in SF 49ers. Also another thing I noticed when playing that leaving the teams on COM would make the computer team more competitive. Not sure why, guess it was just the way Tecmo made the game. Thanks for uploading this btw, brought back good memories & that background music was awesome! 👍
The one thing I never liked about this version was the hollow sound. The SNES is my all time favorite console but now that I'm old and looking back. A lot of the music on SNES sounds hollow with no boom to it. Tecmo Super Bowl on the NES I still prefer. The Genesis TSB is a good version. Final Edition on SNES is great too. Like I love the music in Turtles In Time, F-Zero, Chrono Trigger but then games like this, Batman Returns etc, has this empty cave like sound. The DS version I meant to add is cool.
The DS one... it's impossible to throw huge bombs! I don't think the QBs lead receivers, or maybe they stop offscreen... it's still okay, but I'd take TSB1 or 3 over it in a heartbeat. To each their own, but I do like this soundtrack. I admit there's less bass than you'd like.
@@baryonyx122 That's good to know about the DS one. I play it sparingly so I need to pay attention more. tecmo bowl on gameboy is almost a near perfect port of the original. Little more Tecmo on the go if need a fix. I Just got Tecmo Super Bowl 2024 for the NES as a physical cart for fun. Still an all time favorite of mine. Enjoy
Look, I'm clearly never finishing this. So: Super Mario World Donkey Kong Country Tecmo Super Bowl (SNES) Super Metroid TMNT4: Turtles in Time Donkey Kong Country 2 Loony Tunes B-Ball Aladdin (SNES) Star Fox 2 King of Dragons This is for SNES only
Here's the top 10 overall Super Mario World Donkey Kong Country Super Smash Bros. Melee Resident Evil 4 Pokemon Diamond Tecmo Super Bowl (SNES) Super Mario Bros. Super Mario Bros. 3 Pokemon Silver Pokemon Red
@@baryonyx122 The Genesis version to me is the spiritual successor to the NES version. The sound is a bit nicer and so is the hut hut hut guy. I'm not sure why he wrote what he said but Genesis version is a bit more like the NES I think. harder to run though. Tecmo Super Bowl Final Edition on SNES and Sega was good. A PS1 version exist
Does it feel slow now, or did it feel slow *then*? Put it in context- if it's slower than the NES one, sure, but compared to anything else we had on the 16 bit consoles, especially in 1993, it felt anything but slow.
This game cheats so badly, lol. I remember playing in the AFC championship once with the Chiefs, and I was playing against the Patriots, and my entire team got injured in one game. By the 3rd quarter I literally couldn't substitute anyone because my entire roster was knocked out of commission, so I had to reset the Super Nintendo.
That's crazy. I never saw that happen. Back in the day I was about 11 and my best friend and I would probably play thru a few seasons a week and that's never happened to us. I think in would blow a gasket if it would have😂

@@angelvalle6515 your boy basically has never played it, but it's in the plans
Not as good as the NES version, but still a dope game nevertheless!!! I can’t get over how hard the options music slaps
Reggie cobb baby rip beast
Tecmo super bowl 3 was the best.
Nah. It's awesome, though! I have a very similar video about that game! It just slows things down and takes out too much of the arcade feel.
this was good but the genesis version was the better of the 16 bit tsb games
For what reason?

This game felt slow, and running was really slow compared to the NES.

I've had the all injury thing happen to me ONCE, in like 1996. Lol
The season always cheats lol
