I am so thankful history is linear, not circular! I would go insane thinking that this miserable life just goes around and around with no purpose, no goal, no meaning. No wonder Nietzsche's hatred of God resulted in exactly that.
I will never understand how people can open their eyes even one day in this life without knowing WHY they're even here. People make it to adulthood, old age, even die that way. How can you exist your whole life without wondering what the point of it even is?! I barely made it through high school! Thank You, Lord Jesus, for finding me at age 18!

RC never lost this ferver to teach God Word.
He was an incompetent who apparently believed people choose to inherit Ancestral Sin. He didn't want to admit Calvinism means sin is good and nothing is evil since his god is glorified by spiritual death, and doesn't want all to repent & believe. Ezekiel 33:11

Calvinism relies on John 6. We believe Jesus isn’t a liar. So we are forced to believe that God chooses and Saves whom he wills to save. Just like how Roman 9 says he makes vessels for wrath and mercy. God bless!

R.C was an exceptional teacher, so simple to common man yet so profound, best video about the doctrine of creation i have watched.
I don't follow much of the teaching of my Presbyterian church, but I'm inclining much to this teacing. If anyone ask me which denomination i belong to, I'm proud to say I belong to Reformed Church spiritually. I may not leave my church, but this teaching fits my whole entire reasesrches before becoming a Christian and a believer in Jesus. Thanks to (L) R. C Sproul, he is still preaching and teaching us. Glory be to God.

God existed.
Genesis is the gospel of creation. The creation of all things through Christ. Genesis 1:1 is the death, earth= body water= blood. The substance of creation is Christ. The light is the resurrection 1:3. no cross no creation.

A few minutes before RC Sproul cited the text about the hen protecting her little ones, this exact text came into my head… And it was a very personal thing… No one can EVER make me believe God wouldn’t be real…

In John 16:25, Jesus tells us that he will SHOW us plainly of the Father. Jesus said, “at that day you shall ask in my name: I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you: for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me, and BELIEVED THAT I CAME OUT FROM GOD” (John 16:26-27). Jesus serves as our mediator right now, but in heaven he is no longer our mediator. In heaven, we can approach the Father ourselves because we made it through the narrow way: Jesus (John 14:6).

Anyone know if RC considered himself a young earth creationist or old? If old, what creation model did he believe?
From what I can tell, old earth then he leaned young earth in his later life. The old earth view was mainstream big bang cosmology but with God as the cause.
@@detached - He specifically stated (another video) he is unsure. I was very surprised and saddened. I thought, surely this man would agree with the Word of God but on this issue, he is somewhat seduced by modernism.
Is God old earth or young earth? Adding up the genealogies in the Bible is a big clue.
@@rubiks6how does saying you are unsure of the age of the earth mean that you disagree with the Bible? We have no indication for how long Adam and Eve were in the garden of Eden before the fall ocurred. Therefore, we really have no way of knowing from the text the age of the earth. The Bible is about redemptive history, not about giving every single scientific fact. The Bible gives us everything we need to know about salvation. Btw don’t misinterpret what I’m saying, every scientific fact the Bible does give is true and infallible. But as for the age of the earth, one would have to read into the text the amount of time Adam and Eve were in the garden before the fall, and that would be a violation of the principles of biblical interpretation.
The universe is approximately 13 - to 15 billion years old
