Thank you for doing PY wig reviews and styling. It was very helpful to me. When I first starting wearing wigs I bought the more expensive ones. Then I tried PY and I actually like them better even without all the bells and whistles. So I would love to see more of these.

Holy COW! You look about 30 years old in Ashlee! I'm very glad to see this one. Most of us, though we wish we COULD, simply can't afford to invest in those major brands well in excess of $100, even at sale or clearance prices. I love a mono part and a lace front, but I just can't pay for them any longer. Very much enjoying your take on the less expensive wigs. Thank you!
I tell ya....with the lifespan of wigs in general....(doesn't seem to matter how much one pays) it makes so much sense to experiment w/ lesser expensive pieces to see what can be tolerated w/ the more basic features, and perhaps be able to re-invest a little more often as they brake down. This is one of my favorite wigs. I have not had to wash it yet and I haven’t curled it yet, even though it is heat friendly. It looks pretty on you. I love wearing it a lot and most people don’t guess it’s a wig

I have this one in 1488r8...one of my favorite colors of all brands. Glad you finally tried a PY. I have several and find them very comfortable. Versa fiber is my favorite in PY. Try Jamie Lynn...very cute.❤️🤗😘

I have been wearing paula's wigs for years. I have many, many styles. I have the one you are wearing and I pull it back and up in a clip. It's a little long and bulky down for me. My latest favorite is "Allure". There are so many to try and they are real good about returns. I love getting their catalog monthly. Very nice wigs at reasonable prices. You look great in anything you put on so have fun!!!!!

I just received Ashlee!! Wow, very impressed. Cap has great coverage, very comfortable and the hair fibers are so so soft. All I had to do was hang it upside down for a day, trim a tiny bit in center bang and it looks really really good!! Thank you for the review ☺️

Jill, I have seen you wear a lot of great wigs over time and out of all of them that I have seen you try on, this one is my absolute favorite on you! For both style and that gorgeous color. I would be buying another one. Paula Young wigs are fun and very affordable.

Jill, you look really beautiful in that color. I purchased many Versa Fiber Paula Young wigs when I first began wearing wigs and I must be honest, I find her heat friendly fibers wear better than Raquel Welch and a few other brands! I have a Belle Madame wig sitting in a box with a total hand tied cap and can’t wear it because it is so tight. So it doesn’t matter what the price is of a wig, it’s how it feels and if you are comfortable in it. I have an Ashlee here I haven’t opened but will definitely re-visit it again. Thank you Jill for building my confidence!!! Ashlee in Honey Rooted is my first wig purchase. I ran home after work, opened the box, put it on and played with it. Jumped in and wore it to work the very next day following your comments that no one will notice and will just think you got a new cut/color. I have to say, you are 100% correct ~ literally everyone at my office complimented me and gushed about my new cut/color and saying how much they love it. Many saying that I look younger, which is a perk! :) ... and not just women commented, a number of men as well have told me they love my new hair cut and that it looks really nice! This is definitely a confidence booster for me and now I'm excited to try new styles. At this time I'm keeping it in my same color range as my bio hair and not too drastically long. Although I did order a couple longer styles to do some up-do's for special occasions. Thanks for your channel, it has been so helpful to me!

Hey Jill! After seeing your review of Ashlee by Paula Young, I ordered Shannon in Sunkissed Rooted (which looks a lot like Shaded Wheat in RW) and I am amazed at how much I love her! I find myself reaching for her more than my RW or JR. Yesterday I washed her using your method and she is soft and silky again. Yay! I've the Tresemme hairspray on her, and I have found that she actually responds better to the JR aerosol hairspray - totally not what I expected. Thanks so much for introducing us to Paula Young and please keep reviewing this brand!

Hi Jill, Just ordered Ashlee, love your review. Ordered in a light rooted blond. I am kind of tired of paying the prices for the more bells and whistles in a wig. I recently bought Jackson by Noriko, had to work with it a bit, but really am liking it. Even without the mono top and a lot of permatease I'm enjoying the look. Your videos have helped with that. I agree the heat defiant wigs look more natural, had to spray my Jackson with a lot of dry shampoo. Anyway, thanks for your videos, looking forward to my new Ashlee!!!

Just amazing how young that made u look! I personally LOVED the color. I would have to do something with the back, maybe flip the ends up a bit. I have not taken the plunge and bought a wig. Even my topper has sat idle. I just need to learn more and gain more confidence on all of the particulars. Can't thank u enuf for all of the help! 👌

Thank you, Debra! YEs...so true. There is a line that some wigs cross where they look VERY fake ...like doll hair. THAT's when I have to do something about it. ;). This one isn't like that...looks like very heathy hair.

First of all, loving your new home! Is that ur barn?? Amazing! Apple tree? Wow wwowww! :) Secondly, loving Ashlee on u! Have had 2 and love them, just not a good ashy blonde in there.... Ended up putting some silicone scar tape at the sides in front before the ear tabs. Am a HSP as well and got very itchy, for me, but the tape dealt with it well. Thirdly, and oh, man!! Your weight loss is really really showing in your face and shoulders and back. Even MORE stunning than before!! Really! And lastly, thanks for the reminder tio on the darker lip with the darker wigs. Such a big difference!! Thanks, Jill, for all you do! Appreciate you soooo much!! :)
Hello Sheila! Ok, first of all....THANK YOU for noticing the weight loss! I am at a STALL lately, and trying not to let it bother me too much. Oye. Secondly...I am going to try your idea with the silicone scar tape for general use with my wigs for that reason. Some wigs are worse than others. Where do you purchase ? Amazon?? I'll have to take a look. Lastly....I appreciate you....appreciate you watching and for taking the time to post! Hugs to you , and stay well. (That is a Cherry tree! A VERY OLD one.). The flowery one that drops it's red blossoms all over is a beautiful Camilla tree! GORGEOUS!! (oh...and yes, that is our barn!). I love being able to say...."Oh, it's in the barn".. LOL.
@@JillLynnBeautyTherapy cherries! Yum! I have been on a Keto stall since this Corona thing all started. Just switched to a new IF/Keto program (and starting today - yikes!) called "Eat Like a Bear." Seems to make sense to me as a "kick in the pants" way of eating. Check it out. Just need the scale to move!! Stalls are hard... but it does really show on you that you've lost lots of weight! The scar tape I found at Rite Aid, but you can find it on Amazon, too. Can also get wide moleskin tape as well that you can apply to the wig and create moleskin ear tabs where there were none. Anyway! Enjoy the barn and the acreage around you!! You are sooo lucky right now!! (We single apartment dwellers in Portland are going batsy!! "Stay Weird" has taken on all new meaning!) ❤❤ Be well! Love it, it looks amazingly natural, just healthy hair, love the color, love everything about her, I can't have long hair but it is a really nice hair, so glad to know you are fine, beautiful as always with Creme de Nude ( sold out ) you look youthful, a grown up teen, love it...sadly I am still waiting for my Impressive, since March 28, it is lost somewhere so I will keep waiting and hoping she gets here, I am going to keep an eye on this line...stay safe.
hi jill! youre doing a great job with content and keeping things normal for us... I appreciate you doing this wig review. You look so youthful in the blondes. They light your face up and you have such a sparkle. Darker wigs bring out your eyes but you are ment to be a blonde. I think its very nice you are partnering with Patti on things and doing some different brands maybe more affordable brands? With the world situation I have definitely utitlized my wigs! The grey headband look has not come into style has it??? Love the toni bratton wigs...I have purchased some of your top favs and have not been disappointed. keep up the good work!!!

I have been learning so much watching your videos! #1 is not to be afraid to style your wigs with product and accessories. As a result of watching your demo's I have purchased and am awaiting delivery on Toni Brattin's Trendsetter and Impressive wigs. You look fabulous in every wig you try on. We'll see how I feel when I try on my new wigs. As you can probably tell I am a newbie to the wig experience. My hair is thinning and a shimmery white (I started to get gray in my 20's.). I purchased the Toni Brattin Timeless Short Cut wig a couple of years ago in light blonde. The poor thing has been sitting on a lampshade in my bedroom ever since. It seems my white temple and whispy nape hairs insist on peeking out, making it very obvious I'm wearing a wig. I'll be trying that root cover you've recommended. P.S. I love, love, love your videos!!!

I bought two wigs from Paula Young, Deidre and Ashlee, and I’m very happy with them. The wigs are fine, the service not so much. I live in Australia and their shipping costs are very high ... way more than is necessary. I tried to talk to them about it, got a bunch of quite rude replies, which has coloured my opinion of this seller. But check out their other wigs, you will be very pleased with them, I’m sure.

Nice info. Thanks for sharing a budget friendly wig. I’m furloughed and my tiny budget has now disappeared. I’ve invested Ted in a canvas wig to learn how to revive my 16 month old Jackson and then will need to learn how to thin 5 or more wigs sitting in boxes because they are too much hair for me. I also need to revive some hd fibers do I can keep my favs going. Time to recycle because replace is not an option. Keeping it real.

I am perplexed by that back! I am going to see if it calms down by itself, and if not I'll be trouble shooting because it drives me nuts. I'll be doing a follow up to on this wig a couple months from now!

Heat-friendly fibers can actually last as long as straight synthetic fibers, by using HEAT on them to melt away frizzies. Comb to straighten fibers, then glide your flat iron over them, and frizzies melt away. You can then add curves or waves with heat styling tools. Works like a charm!

Wow, look at you, showing us Paula Young and Tony B wigs.! Thanks so much. It has helped me ease into wigs, money wise, to try lower priced wigs with Paula. Yes, I do think my Raquel Welch is the best quality wig I own, but fun to have a variety of less costly while saving for the high end.
Yay! I am so glad this is helpful! I agree with you about finding those "better on the budget" pieces for every day wear. Just makes better sense for the bank account since they really don't last all that long! Price point doesn't seem to matter when it comes to longevity, unfortunately!

This color is gorgeous, so much so, that I bought it in the sister wig, Shannon. I, too, have just discovered how nice the PY and JS wigs are and I'm loving them, especially at this price. I also am a hairspray gal from the 80's and "wig spray" doesn't cut it. I've been using my Kenra #25 and it works fine. I've had no issues with using it on synthetics. Nor any problems with the Kenra Silkening Mist or Silkening Gloss, which smells WAY better than Simply Stylin' or Jon Renau. Just thought I'd pass that along. Great review as always. From experience I will say what I have found about PY wig. First...they are great for first time wig wearers. You can make your mistakes on a cheap wig. Most of mine cost $39. Wash it, cut it, get it too close to the oven, try regular hairspray on it.. It CAN be a cheap way to make a mistake instead of ruining a $150 wig you love and felt you bought as a bargain. Second....do NOT expect it to wear like your better wigs. If you rotate wigs every day, and wear it very little, you may be fine. But I like to wear my wigs a lot and it will show signs of wear much more quickly. Look at the part-----it will, never look as good as the more expensive wigs. Look at the ends after you have worn it a while. It will need trimming faster. I am wearing the Danielle right now; it is my Coronavirus wig. I have been wearing it daily for eight weeks and you can tell. I wear a Victoria in the summer because it is cooler but I have sent many back because the wefting showed too much. Jill, I love your site and watch every video you do but this time I had to add my experience. wig wearer of 3.5 years Linda from VA.

My sister has two of the same by Paula Young. Jesse and she wears the same thing every single day. She alternates between the two and she wears them for six months and has no problems. I have three Heidi and as long as you take care of themand give them a little love and a little bit of heat with a hot tools. They will last you. My first wig was a Paula Young Wig...the one in my photo...I rally wore only Paula Young for almost a year because that’s what I could afford. I now have many different styles and name brands, but I do have to say that there are many times when I just grab my Paula Young wigs. I found that their Versa Fiber holds up better than my heat friendly Advanced French by Raquel Welch...I love that style but even though she is short she frizzes at the nape and the fibers are very thick and stiff compared to my, I believe, Mackenzie, that I have on in my photo. Looks great on you! I have a lot of very expensive wigs, but my Paula Young wigs are my favorites. I love short hair and Paula has some great pixies with lots of petite sizes.
