I laughed at 8:00 "Freud's words! not mine". Brilliant presentation - clear, precise and concise. Greatly helped with my studies.
This is an extremely helpful video. Thank you. Explained it better than my teachers. However, the subject is psychoanalytic theory, not psychodynamic.
we call it psychodynamic in the UK
MCAT uses both "psychoanalytic" and "psychodynamic" to describe this theory
i would love to share this video to my class. Absolutely best explanation i have ever heard. very helpful.
Good straightforward content which is useful as an introduction to key concepts. The background MUSAK had me switching off unfortunately.

Also known as the dumb dumb theory, or the mega creep pervo theory.
the electra and odepous complex that bases our attraction to the ' opposit sex' is extremly problematic and has been so harmful on the gay communities in the world.
and this is where psychocology went wrong. its by not creating responsibility of the self into its mind and body that it created a torpor. 'its ok to be unconcious of parts of the self' pathetic, nieztche would have spit at freud
thanx my exam is tomorrow this helped so much
I'm confused. Are you talking about the psychoanalytic theory? The psychodynamic theory is with Adler, Horney, and Jung. These are neo freudians who were influenced by Freud but extended his theories in other directions. You should fix this because it can confuse people who are taking the AP Psychology exam, or just people who are interested in psychology overall.
Yeah this is misinformation. This isnt psychodynamic theory.
The idea of psychodynamic is based on the ideas of the followers of Sigmund Freud and his idea ->psycholoanalysis...and I think thats what I have understood hehe
Psychodynamic and psychoanalytic is the same
I wish she was my teacher. Loved it 💯
Why do you think psychodynamic theory is still used today?
it is psychoanalytic theory that your talking abot
Yes
