Augsburger Modellbautage 2019

Ein sehr erfolgreiches Wochenende also!

We members of the Plastic Model Building Club Augsburg (PMVA) hosted the Augsburg Model Days on the 5th and 6th of October again. One could call the show even "International Augsburg Model Days", because we had clubs and guests at our show not only from Germany, but also from Austria, Switzerland and France. This ensured that there were a lot of new and unusual models to see.
Of course i enjoyed my time there a lot and had the chance to talk to many of our visitors, guests and fellow club members. My dioramas were well received by the audience and i also found some good stuff at the model kit flea market. All in all a very successful weekend!
My video shows only a selection of models from this show, including every single piece would make the video too long.

I used music from the UA-cam audio library for this video.
Music:
"A dusty road" by "Dan Lebowitz"
"All my shuffling" by "Silent Partner"
"Back to the city" by "The 126ers"
"Blizzards" by "Riot"
"Up above" by "Letter Box"
It was a great exhibition and a pleasure to be there. Plenty of great models and dioramas. Thanks for your welcome, we had a great Weekend with all of you. Many thanks Michael. Christophe.
Merci Christophe for coming all the way from France to our show. It was something great and very special for all of us to have you guys here as guests :) I´m glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for showing the fun you had at the model show. It's cool to have other visitors from Austria, Switzerland, and France to come and participate in the show. I like the variety of skill levels each person brings. From the beginner to the advance modeler was well represented.
You are welcome buddy! No one from the USA came over, we should change that in the future :)
@@HamilkarBarkasScaleModelling maybe I will come 😀
Haha do that, it would be awesome :)
Appreciate you posting this visit. Felt just like I was there.

For a small show like this one the models on display were of outstanding quality. I´m glad we were able to attract such skilled modellers for our show :)

Thank you for sharing!!! What a model show!! So much exciting models on display. Very inspiring :)
Cheers Russ :) We had a good array of models there, a bit of every genre.
salut many beautifoul models and many french sherman
love the marmon herrington with french soldiers
thank you hb
Merci!
The French Shermans or the armored car are made by a French club in fact, so that must be the reason why you like it so much Jean :)
A great show! Thanks for sharing mate :)
You are welcome Daniel :)
A fine show Michael.
Cheers buddy :)
Currently building some German odd bits for the WWII Group Build... and do I miss you on fb?? Yes, I do.. But that is as it is... :( Great show, thanks for sharing and as always you started off with a Saab.. ;) Plenty of Shermans as well, I noticed. Starfighters, Tornadoes... what's not to like?? Even a minion... Love it! :)
You know, its the tradition to start with something Swedish, if possible!
I got my hands on a Hobby Boss 1/35 scale Toldi kit, the real vehicle originated in Sweden and i would love to build it in Swedish camo and markings, but it turns out no one has made decals for that. Do you know anything about that, maybe a hidden secret Swedish source?
When it comes to FB, well, its good to know that people miss me at least!
@@HamilkarBarkasScaleModelling Yes, I have noticed and I appreciate it!! :) :) In answer to your question about the Toldi, SBS Models have made a conversion set, to return the HobbyBoss 1/35 Toldi kit back into a Swedish Stridsvagn M/38. It is quite expensive though, containing resin, etched brass, a turned metal barrel, clear parts and decals.. something in the line of 46 Euros.
Ha, i knew you could help! Even Scalemates does not list the thing, but i found it somewhere else. Thank you, i might get it, alongside some Swedish figs for it from The Body.
@@HamilkarBarkasScaleModelling Oh, Swedish figures?? I had a quick look at their website, I may have to invest in the resin Swedish infantry soldier and build it as a tribute to my father.. it could have been him! :) The SBS set looks quite impressive and the different camo options are interesting. It says an 'unknown' unit in the south of Sweden, but I believe it to be the P2 Tank Regiment outside Hässleholm. Did part of my Air Force service stationed at the T4 Army Supply Regiment in Hässleholm and we used the tank regiment training ground once for orienteering, which is when I ended up running alongside a couple of Centurions.. a story I've most likely told you once or three times before.. :)
I made my order, alongside the figures i talked about (they have them in stock there, too) and some tires for the Italeri Coloniale car. I built that car some years ago and loved the kit, but the tires in there were a joke. For the next one i am doing i will have better tires then!
Superb builds. Thanks for sharing. Hey, we are missing you on Faceplant:). Hope they sort their sh1t out and get your content back where it should be asap!!
Cheers Mark! I won´t embark on that journey, since it feels like it would lead nowhere. It feels like the people in charge at Facebook have little understanding of the subject matter and it is not my job to educate them.
@@HamilkarBarkasScaleModelling fair point Michael, but sad that this is the case mate.
I mean, we all have enough trouble to deal with the idiots we can not avoid on a daily basis, why going to great lengths and seeking contact with them and wasting my time?
@@HamilkarBarkasScaleModelling sage words . Sadly increasingly we are confronted with stupidity on a daily basis it seems
Good,!
Cheers!
