[For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.'] NASB95 This is meant to show us how to pray. Hallowed be your name is another way of say holy is your Name. I know a lot of people don't repent before they pray to ask God for whatever trails they are going through or for a loved one, Verses 9-13 is more of a formula on how to pray not to be repeated and think you are good with God.
1214 that's when they invented the Rosary. A man Dominic of Osma came up with it. He said he saw Mary and she told him to do it. I think he was talking to a demon if he didn't just completely make it up. Also it's changed some since then.
Incorrect, the rosary prayer consists of the Apostles Creed, The Lord’s Prayer, Hail Mary, and Doxology and remember the most important moments of Jesus’ life (the four sets of mysteries; joyful, sorrowful, glorious, and luminous). I don’t think the devil will tell you to pray those prayers I mentioned, as well as reflect on the most important moments of Jesus’ life. This only strengthens our faith in God, not diminish it. “He said he saw Mary and she told him to do it. I think he was talking to a demon if he didn't just completely make it up. Also it's changed some since then.” This is just blind assumptions on your part, and the Protestants who agrees with your inaccurate statement. I will break this comment down. - Firstly, St. Dominic’s vision of Mary instructing him to pray the Rosary is a traditional account in Catholic hagiography. Note that hagiographies serve an important role within religious traditions by preserving the memory and teachings of saints and other revered figures. They often inspire devotion, provide examples of faithfulness and virtue, and offer insights into the spiritual life. Hagiographical accounts are based on historical evidence and rigorous research, providing valuable insights into the lives and deeds of saints. These accounts are often considered reliable sources of information within religious communities and among historians. - Secondly, questioning whether St. Dominic’s vision was from a demon or if he fabricated it lacks evidence and undermines the veneration of a recognized saint within the Catholic Church. - Thirdly, while the form and structure of the Rosary have evolved over time, the core elements, such as the prayers and mysteries I mentioned, remain consistent with its origins. Overall, the statement you made is false and lacks a factual basis regarding the prayer of the Rosary. You need to learn Catholic theology first, before you make worthless assumptions about our faith.

@@ingela_injeela Cause you’re Protestant probably hahaha. Before you comment, make sure that you know history. Martin Luther doesn’t just cover Lutheran, he covered most Protestant denominations today such as Calvinism, Anglicanism, and many more (30,000+ as of today). He started the Protestant reformation in the 16th century through his Ninety-five Theses which lead to significant theological, ecclesiastical, and social changes within Christianity. His ideas, such as salvation by faith alone and the authority of Scripture, influenced the development of Protestantism as a whole. He also rejected 7 deuterocanonical books and this can be seen as heresy, Revelation 22:18-19 (NIV) states this clearly. Meanwhile, the Catholic Church considers the preservation and transmission of Scripture, particularly those that directly relate to Jesus Christ. Also, regarding Matthew 6:7-8 (NIV), this passage cautions against mindless repetition or vain babbling in prayer, but it does not condemn all forms of repetitive prayer. The key distinction is the heart behind the prayer: prayers that are offered with sincerity, devotion, and faith are pleasing to God, regardless of whether they are repetitive or not. Therefore, the Rosary is not considered empty or meaningless when offered with genuine devotion and intentionality, especially when it’s a saint that creates the Rosary due to the apparition of the Blessed Mother.
Thank you for this, I work in homecare & have an ex Catholic nun who tells me the rosary is all biblical. I knew it wasent but this detailed explanation is good to know. Pray for Maureen 🙏🏼
I still remember my childhood saying the Rosary because my mother who was a Roman Catholic taught me. Every night before bedtime she would come into my older sister’s room and together would pray the Rosary. I never understood why I’d repeat ‘Hail Mary’ 53 times and only ‘Our Father’s’ 10 times. Since she was taught by the Roman Catholic Church that it would protect me from harm, evil, and danger I’d wore the Rosary. So I did that from my childhood to preteen years but over 24 years ago when I started reading the four narrative Gospels. I was so shocked that NONE of what Roman Catholicism taught was against the Word of God and for years been exposing the false teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.

Nothing to support praying to saints that have passed on- Deuteronomy WOULD apply here. According to the RCCs, then Hebrews could pray to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. And yet we know that would have clearly been a violation of Deuteronomy.
Catholics would probably argue that they couldn't pray to Mary or other saints in Heaven as she was still alive. Stephen died quite early on though, and a lot of believers faced persecution and none were encouraged to pray to him...
"No one in heaven is really dead" Consider that God put Saul to death for seeking a medium to summon Samuel's (a Godly man) from the dead for guidance and you see how that argument doesn't work with God (1 Samuel 28, 1 Chronicles 10:13-14).
Samuel wasn’t in heaven and a medium is demonically possessed. This is not equivalent to prayers offered to Saints who are in heaven and who have the Holy Spirt, which is the intermediary between us and them.
Dear one, if you pray the rosary, you are praying to Mary. Paragraph 2679 of the Catholic Catechism: Mary is the perfect Orans (pray-er), a figure of the Church. When we pray TO HER, we are adhering with her to the plan of the Father, who sends his Son to save all men. Like the beloved disciple we welcome Jesus' mother into our homes, for she has become the mother of all the living. We can pray with and TO HER. (Emphasis added.) ---- Dear Lord, open their eyes that they may see. 🙏
And the Catholic excuse of "No one in Heaven is really dead!" doesn't even work. By that standard, the souls in Sheol, awaiting judgement, aren't "dead" either, because their souls haven't been annihilated. It's clear that Deuteronomy 18:11-12 is warning against contacting/praying to any soul that has not experienced the bodily resurrection at the Last Judgement.
There are no more people in Sheol Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. Wicked people who weren't in Christ are going to Hell because thier souls are dead in thier sins but Saints in Heaven are alive in spirit with the Lord because they followed Him. When you go ask some wizard or witch to call upon the dead from the grave or you yourself go do that through occult to gather knowledge or foretold future events, you are not reaching God for knowledge (because he is the only one who can give you knowledge about certin things or tell you about future) instead you ask demons for that which is againt Bible and Catholic Chruch has always spoken against necromancy. When we ask Saints to pray for us we don't bypass God so we can get something no, instead Saints pray for us to Jesus Christ and then He answers our prayer (Whenever is yes or no to that prayer).
Echo, hope ye all make it out of this chamber, prayers to ye all. The rosary was given to St Dominic in 1221, that is to say 262 year before the birth of Martin Luther, it was to combat the spread of the Albigenisian Herecy. We all love our mothers, Jesus did his when he said 'behold your mother' to St John before him on the cross. You might have to explain to him why you didn't respect "venerate" her while you lived. We are supposed to be brothers and sisters not team "my church is right" 🙏
This is vanity of vanities… Talk about a worthless prayer of vain repetition to a dead woman who can’t hear any prayers - and has no knowledge that there are people worshiping her.

You should’ve used a better translation. They will argue it’s not empty phrases, they do have meaning for the RC. Jesus was talking about reciting the same things over and over. Matthew 6:7 NKJV [7] And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.

You didn’t mention that the larger beads primarily focus on verses about Christ and that you’re supposed to /meditate/ on them as you pray the Hail Mary’s, but it’s easier to just strawman Catholicism, isn’t it?
You seem to be missing one key and important part of the rosary. The individual words being said are not the focus one is supposed to be meditating on different parts of Jesus life called mysteries. There are 20 each a different point in his life, from his birth to his resurection. The words being said just help you focus on the mysteries of the faith while you are saying the words of God. The Hail mary didn't orignaly have the intercesion tagged on to it, and it was also common to say the magnicicat at the end. To be frank all I hear protestant say is vein repitions like the gentiles do heaping up meaningless words asking for the same thing in a myriad of ways all while trying to outdo each other in how long they can ramble on for.
Catholics will affirm that Mary is in heaven (and never died), but for almost all other Saints -- which they pray to -- Catholics can't confirm that they are actually in Heaven or not. In one sense this is humble, because it leaves judgement to God. But how can you pray to a being that you aren't even sure ended up on the right team? Pray like how Jesus taught us, to God.
It's an intercession you fools. The pray is not TO Mary, but an intercession THROUGH her to her Son. Hence the PRAY FOR US sinners. This video completely misunderstands the point.
In Catholicism, priests are still mediators between God and people because they believe, 1. Jesus is the only mediator but Jesus made the church "representative" of him and gave full authority of himself 2. Catholic church still give sacrifices - Eucharist - which they literally believe the blood and the flesh of Christ (this is why ministers of Catholic church are "priests") A complete nonsense.
Or maybe you're just close hearted. I know for a fact, a consecrated host can cause demons to tremble as it represents the body of Christ as well as know if the person was faking a possession. A normal person wouldn't be able to distinguish the difference between a consecrated and a non-consecrated host, but demons can. Father Dan Reehil confirmed this in his interview at Capturing Christianity, he also stated that people from other denominational Protestant churches are usually the ones that gets possessed and contacts him for help. This should be proof enough that Catholicism isn't a joke, and is based on the teachings of the true Christian church that Jesus Christ founded.

@justingreen2344 Well yes and no. It's a bit difficult to answer. But here are some points I find helpful. Moses who has died, appeared to the 3 disciples. Many saints arose from their grave in Matthew 25 I believe, saying they walked around the living. God also did allow Samuel to speak with Saul after he was dead, but to reprove him, and Revealtion has a few instances where the saints in heaven pray for us on earth, seeing the trials and tribulations that are to be faced. Now the next are personal, but I have had saints answer my prayers. I have been a protestant for all my life, but now I have become Orthodox in the last year.

I know a lot of people don't repent before they pray to ask God for whatever trails they are going through or for a loved one, Verses 9-13 is more of a formula on how to pray not to be repeated and think you are good with God.
Well said my brother, very sobering and convicting yet so true! 👍🏻👍🏻😇🙏🏻♥️
Also it's changed some since then.”
This is just blind assumptions on your part, and the Protestants who agrees with your inaccurate statement.

@@ingela_injeela Tell that to Luther
@@akenoicap8512 Why should I? I'm not a Lutheran. But Jesus warns us that we are *not* to pray like the heathens do, endlessly *repeating words* over and over...

Amen!
Catholics would probably argue that they couldn't pray to Mary or other saints in Heaven as she was still alive. Stephen died quite early on though, and a lot of believers faced persecution and none were encouraged to pray to him...

Consider that God put Saul to death for seeking a medium to summon Samuel's (a Godly man) from the dead for guidance and you see how that argument doesn't work with God (1 Samuel 28, 1 Chronicles 10:13-14).
Samuel wasn’t in heaven and a medium is demonically possessed.
This is not equivalent to prayers offered to Saints who are in heaven and who have the Holy Spirt, which is the intermediary between us and them.

The Bible also speaks about vain repetitious prayers, too.🤗🇮🇱
No. Next question?
No. This is what I use.🙏 we don’t pray to Mary ever!
Well, if you aren’t praying to Mary with a prayer named “Hail Mary”, who is that prayer to then? It certainly isn’t God, I’ll tell you that much.
Dear one, if you pray the rosary, you are praying to Mary.
Paragraph 2679 of the Catholic Catechism:
Mary is the perfect Orans (pray-er), a figure of the Church. When we pray TO HER, we are adhering with her to the plan of the Father, who sends his Son to save all men. Like the beloved disciple we welcome Jesus' mother into our homes, for she has become the mother of all the living. We can pray with and TO HER. (Emphasis added.)
----
Dear Lord, open their eyes that they may see. 🙏
Also CCC. 2675 states, "prayer to the holy mother of God."
There are no more people in Sheol Hebrews 9:27
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.

Just came here to tell y'all that the primitive church was not non-denominational, evangelical, lutheran, calvinist, anglican, methodist, pentecostal, baptist, Souther Baptist, Mormon, Seventh- Day Adventist, National Church, spiritual Christian church, and etc... It was catholic, not any of those i just mentioned, not any of them, just do research and study the Roman Catholic Faith, then you will fall to the laziness and error of protestantism
One big thing wrong with the rosary is the fact that you are talking to the dead which is prohibited by Scripture.
You should’ve used a better translation. They will argue it’s not empty phrases, they do have meaning for the RC. Jesus was talking about reciting the same things over and over.
Matthew 6:7 NKJV

The Rosary is an intrinsically Christian prayer. Do your research. I highly recommend 'The Secret Of The Rosary' by St. Louis de Montfort.

Can you make a video against nestorianism?
You didn’t mention that the larger beads primarily focus on verses about Christ and that you’re supposed to /meditate/ on them as you pray the Hail Mary’s, but it’s easier to just strawman Catholicism, isn’t it?
Once in a while on Madden 2024, I run the Hail Mary offense.

I tried listening to that video you played of the rosary just to find out what it was and I couldn’t do it, it was incredibly boring and worthless.

In Catholicism, priests are still mediators between God and people because they believe,
1. Jesus is the only mediator but Jesus made the church "representative" of him and gave full authority of himself
2. Catholic church still give sacrifices - Eucharist - which they literally believe the blood and the flesh of Christ (this is why ministers of Catholic church are "priests")
A complete nonsense.
@@akenoicap8512 You find proof from within Catholic priests?
@@juyeonglee1605 of course. Another proof of the Eucharist being the true body of Christ is the exorcism of Nicola Aubrey. Look into it and you should know that the Catholic Church is no joke.

Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father's house; So shall the KING GREATLY DESIRE THY BEAUTY: for HE IS THY LORD; and worship thou him (only). And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift (Lk. 1:28); even the rich among the people shall ENTREAT THY FAVOUR (intercession). The king's daughter is all GLORIOUS WITHIN (immaculate): her clothing is of wrought gold. SHE shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins (religious women) her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee. With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king's palace (heaven). Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children (mother of the christians) whom thou mayest make princes (bishops) in all the earth. I WILL make THY NAME to be REMEMBERED IN ALL GENERATIONS (Lk. 1:48) therefore shall the people PRAISE THEE FOR EVER AND EVER.”
In Orthodoxy we do ise a prayer rope for the Jesus Prayer. Though it is good to ask for intercession, we believe we must have prayer on our heart all the time, to ask God to have mercy on us, a sinner.

@@person6768 we pray with saints. We understand that they omly operate by the grace of God, such as any other person on earth.

For example my father's knee was healed when I asked John the Baptist to pray for him, I asked Mary to find my homeless friend a job so he could get his life back in order.
I have been a protestant for all my life, but now I have become Orthodox in the last year.
I'm not sure if you answered this question but do you think other people than the saints can see us?
Considering that it was given by the Queen Mother, has multiple miracles associated therewith (such as the sun at Fatima), and no demon is going to tell you to pray the Our Father...

4. priests ordained as "another Christ"/alter Christus (Despite Exodus 20:3)
5. modifying commandments (despite Deuteronomy 4:2,Revelation 22:18-19)
6. worldly acceptance of climate & marriage (despite 1 John 2:15+16, Matthew 19:4-6)
