I was given an ION Audio turntable for my birthday, and it's decent. Has USB out if you want to connect it to your computer and rip albums to mp3, which is nice. I have also owned Audio-Technica turntables in the past and liked them too.
You are so lucky to have so many great stores in your area! Where I live, we've got a couple retro stores and they are very sparse. You rarely even see anything older boxed.
Really nice, Metal Jesus! Your guide is marvelous for the old gamers!! And yes, Seattle is a place to spend one vacation if you enjoy pop culture, rock and game companies that you dreamed to visit. I'll certainly return to Seattle in one more opportunity!
Very, very cool video! Just like you pointed out, I'm a retro collector who will be attending PAX in just a few weeks. I'll definitely be using your guide!
Perhaps they are not a fan of Starbucks espresso? Or Amazon? or Nintendo of North America? Or Microsoft? I don't know why...but the Seattle area is a pretty kickass place to live.
obli 789 my Aunt lives there and says it’s amazing. Nintendo headquarters there. But I hear the weather is miserable. Cold and rainy all the time. Coming from Florida, I dunno if I could do it.
Jeremy Niewinski As someone who lives in an area with a lot if snow, I think think I’d prefer the rain. Plus I heard it snows a lot less than where I live right now.
@@jeremyniewinski4196 Nintendo is in Redmond. I’m starting a job at trugreen next week. Nintendo is literally a stones throw away… well… not that I want to pelt stones at Nintendo… unless they keep taking music down off of youtube
doctor5d Since this video was made, a new store: Super Smash Games in Ballard has opened. It's small... but AMAZING! Do not miss it! www.yelp.com/biz/super-smash-games-ballard-seattle
This is awesome. If I'm ever in the Seattle region (I live on the East Coast, so that may not be too likely), I'm definitely going to watch again and take notes. Thanks, MetalJesus, this is a great wealth of info on the stores in the area.
Honestly, there is very little you can't find here locally...if you have money. Plus there are some very big collectors here and they regularly sell off parts of their massive collections, so there is always something new. And yes, it can make your wallet cry if you are not careful.
Bravo. This video rocks. Great presentation and use of google maps to help the prospective retro video gamer tourist find these stores. Wish I lived in that area! Have a great day.
There is another Al's music out here in Tacoma but it looks like the Seattle store has a much larger selection. Awesome video, look forward to following this map very soon.
Awww. This video is so awesome! I especially love the the 3d maps in between stores.Nicely done! Lol. I remember your footage from last year. So excited that I am goin to PAX this year.
Love Game Gurus on Lake City, It's just a 3 minute walk from my apartment. I plugged them in my LandStalker review, but I had no idea you were also in the Seattle area. Small world!
Just one more reason to move to Seattle! I hope that people who live in large cities like this appreciate what they have! Many of us live in small towns that don't have many specialty stores like this.
Awesome Video Metal Jesus! I'm down here in Long Beach WA, and I'm going to make my way up north to Seattle just because of this video! Keep up the great work!
It certainly looks like a pretty kick-ass place to live, there is only one retro video-game shop within thirty miles from where I live, so I'm jealous of you!
Those stores are amazing looking! I was drooling the entire time. I have a local retro store, but she rarely gets rare or really cool stuff in. Just the normal Nintendo, Sega, Playstation and XBox stuff. I'd be broke all the time if I lived in Seattle, lol.
Took a trip to Seattle back in 2014 and I went to Another Castle while I was there. Nabbed a few games, and I finally got to try Mario Kart Arcade GP after wanting to give it a shot ever since it released! Great place!
Wow PAX is here already? I remember I subscribed to you because of your video with petedorr after PAX and that definitely doesn't feel like a year ago.
Thanks for showing these, some really cool looking stores. Would love to come back to the US one day, and definitely would like to go to Pax. We currently have no stores at all in my whole state :(
The dude at Amazing Heros hooked me up with a pretty sweet trade deal last year after I told him I learned about his store from your video with Pete Dorr. Plus we drove out from the Olympic Peninsula and he thought that was cool too.
MetalJesus I am travelling to Seattle today from London, staying for a week, just saw your guide on the gamestores... Thanks!! I will be sure to check these out.
Mint Croydon Gamer Oh really? Definitely hit up Pink Gorilla, Game Gurus, Another Castle in Edmonds on the north side...and Amazing Heroes in Kirkland if you go over to the east side... Have fun!
Thanks! Was gonna go to the Portland Expo, but got a job and had to work that weekend. Now, my buddy wants to take a trip to Seattle. Might drop him off at a casino and I'll do my thing. Retro Game Hunting!
As someone who lives in Seattle, if you have a car, I HIGHLY recommend Another Castle. It's a kickass store and the guys know their shit. Also, Game Gurus is pretty awesome too.
Awesome video MJR. I was thinking about traveling up that way after seeing you in that neat gaming expo. I am not sure if it was Pax East it is the one you saw the Tomb Raider actress at. So it seem sweater to just see more Retro Stores there. So with this in mind you should get a video of the other stores to go to that would be cool.
I've been looking for a list like this since I moved out to Seattle in '05! I'd love to hear about the North Sound stores, too. Just subbed your channel.
Came up from Vancouver, Wa for a seattle trip and while up here we stopped in at Al's. Metal Jesus thanks for the tip awesome place. Picked up a Sega Genesis game. It was still in the box with the booklet and poster for 7 bucks.
As far as I know, we have no retro games shops i Malmoe. And I live in Sweden's third largest city! But I planning to visit Seattle next year, hopefully. I also did my first game collection video yesterday. It´s small but it´s a start :) Keep up the good work!
There used to be a Play N' Trade in Burlingame which is very close to where I live but it closed months ago. But their selection of retro games was limited so they didn't have much to offer anyway. So I'm basicly stuck with ebay and amazon.
Sadly the Lake City Game Gurus is no longer with us... This makes me very sad that I no longer have a game store within a quick jog. However, Game Over has opened another location inside the Northgate Mall, and they have a decent selection of everything Atari onward.
You should probably do another one of these, sadly a lot of places close down so a lot changes in 5 years, do another feature of who's still breathing. Heading down to Kirkland, crossing my fingers for some Atari treasure.
Awesome thanks man! We are from the isle of man, UK and are visiting Seattle in July and hope to check out some of these stores, probably pink gorilla. Thanks very much for the information.
Nice, I didn't know there was so many awesome video game stores in Seattle D: I live in Redmond, which is pretty close, so I might have to bus down there and check them out sometime :>

hey metaljesus, this comment isn't related to video games, but since you are a vinyl record collector, which vinyl player would you recommend to play with? regards
ill have to come to seattle and check those stores out as Tacoma has very little retro stores only one big one super smash games on 56th and S. Tacoma Way
I was given an ION Audio turntable for my birthday, and it's decent. Has USB out if you want to connect it to your computer and rip albums to mp3, which is nice. I have also owned Audio-Technica turntables in the past and liked them too.

Yep. Last year I drove Pete Dorr around to most of these...and he was like a kid in a candy store with no shipping fees :)
Yep. Lots of ex-Sierra people ended up at Valve and other game developers, like Popcap, Big Fish, Bungie, Gas Powered Games, 5th Cell, and tons more.
She is such a sweet bulldog too. So lovely and cute!
Really nice, Metal Jesus! Your guide is marvelous for the old gamers!!
And yes, Seattle is a place to spend one vacation if you enjoy pop culture, rock and game companies that you dreamed to visit. I'll certainly return to Seattle in one more opportunity!
Uwajimaya has the best Asian food too. Love that store!
You noticed that huh? It probably came from a Nintendo employee, which has its North American headquarters just a few miles from Amazing Heroes.
Seattle seems like a cool place to live, wish I could move to the area.

I'd love to help ya, but San Fran is 1300 km from Seattle. Only been there once, and it was years ago.
Honestly, there is very little you can't find here locally...if you have money. Plus there are some very big collectors here and they regularly sell off parts of their massive collections, so there is always something new. And yes, it can make your wallet cry if you are not careful.

I might be in Seattle for the summer next year and love retro gaming (as I grow older). This is great. Thank you!
Reset Games and Next Level Games. I just googled "marysville game store" if curious. Hope that helps!
I completely forgot you did this. Can't wait till my trip to Seattle.
Awww. This video is so awesome! I especially love the the 3d maps in between stores.Nicely done! Lol. I remember your footage from last year. So excited that I am goin to PAX this year.
Wouldn't mind visiting those stores if I was ever in town for PAX. That Al's place looked awesome as I love vinyl & video games. Thanks for showing.
I'm moving to Seattle next month, and even though this video is 7 years old I'm really excited to be moving into such an awesome retro gaming area!
Thanks for the map, I'll be in Seattle in December for some lectures. I'll try to look for these shops - if I get my own transport that is.
What an Epic video, this is the type of thing that makes your channel one of the best for gaming fans on youtube.
Love Game Gurus on Lake City, It's just a 3 minute walk from my apartment. I plugged them in my LandStalker review, but I had no idea you were also in the Seattle area. Small world!
You have a much better selection than we do here in Phoenix. Thanks for the tours and info, your map effect is sweet.
Outstanding. Your city has just so many nice retro stores. Seattle seems like a really cool place.
Great stuff! I would be in heaven in one of those PinkGorilla stores :)
This video is awesome! Must have taken you ages! I live in the UK and have never seen any stores like this! Awesome stuff!
5:50 that fox statue used to be in another castle in its early days.
I miss it so...
Metal Jesus...WOW! I am impressed with how many retro video game stores are in your area. Boston sure could use a few more of them...

Wow PAX is here already? I remember I subscribed to you because of your video with petedorr after PAX and that definitely doesn't feel like a year ago.
Great video Jason, you did all the homework for me!
I def need to fly out to Seattle on my off days. Here in NYC there aren't many options for collectors like me.
I would spend so much money on this hobby if I lived in your area. Great video, thanks!
Thanks for showing these, some really cool looking stores. Would love to come back to the US one day, and definitely would like to go to Pax.
We currently have no stores at all in my whole state :(
I like how you said "very handy" while the Handy Boy accessory for Game Boy was on screen :D

I'm heading to Seattle in two weeks for PAX so thanks for this Jason!
Nice list, I'm wondering if there's any game stores more north, say between Bellingham and Seattle
Lived in Allyn,WA as a kid. It's been many years since I've been back.

Wow man that's pretty amazing. Where i Live we have 2 "local" shops within a 30-40 mile radius and that's it. I would love to live in your area.
I would love to check your shops out some time
The Play'n'trade in kirkland is now gone, which is very sad.
There's a Pawn Shop in Kent that has a fairly good selection of retro games.
When it comes to old games I see it all :) Cool to know, thanks !
I been to the Pink Gorilla on south King str. It's a little bit smaller but a nice selection of games.
well done MJ, awesome, helpfull and well put together man!
Awesome video as always! you rock!!

Logan Jorgensen - Can you name all of the retro video game stores that still exist in Washington State in 2018?
I’m moving to Seattle this weekend. (Feb 12 2022) and my first stop even before I go to my job over in Redmond… is pink gorilla. I’m stoked
At the end of the video you mentioned there are more stores in Everette and Marysville, may I ask the names please?
Awesome thanks man! We are from the isle of man, UK and are visiting Seattle in July and hope to check out some of these stores, probably pink gorilla. Thanks very much for the information.

The two Game Gurus stores have hundreds of Xbox games...and so does Al' Music
great GREAT RL walkthrough Seatle.
Awesome the stores participate with the discounts ^_^
Another Castle is awesome! Found a few gems of my own.
wow amazing heroes really blew up. I remembered when it was a really small store.
I wonder if she bags the stuff for the customers.
hey metaljesus, this comment isn't related to video games, but since you are a vinyl record collector, which vinyl player would you recommend to play with?

What camera and equipment do you use for recording?
Any tips on North Washington? I'm from Vancouver (Canada) and I make my way down there sometimes to get myself some Vanilla Coke.
I wish to have at least one of this type os stores in Argentina. Pure awesomeness
I should go to Seattle one day. Cool stuff of video games store
awsome man wish we had stores like this in the uk!
I wonder which store has the best prices,I usually go to swap meets to find pretty good games cheap.
Great video... I like a lot retrogames and, of course, your channel.
Man, these stores look sweet!! It's sad that most of these store are not in the East Coast. At least I have The Exchange and Buybacks to go to
Great guide.Because I am a beginner at collecting retro games.
The ALS music video game in Tacoma is really awesome as well!
What was the Dungeons and Dragons 4 player beat-em up thats never been released to consoles???
Dude you givin away all your good spots!!!!
You could Google M&M Games. It's one of few retro game stores in the UK. They are a tad overpriced but they're pretty good.
wow ! The UK is sadly lacking in stores like these, this is enough for me to move to Canada (if they will have me)
ill have to come to seattle and check those stores out as Tacoma has very little retro stores only one big one super smash games on 56th and S. Tacoma Way
I am going to washington state and i will certainly be in Seattle, do you have an updated list of all the videogame stores?
Question...
. Are these stores still offering these deals?
You are lucky MJR there's nothing like that where i am in md.When it comes to collecting for retro consoles,it's ebay or at the forums i post at.
