for a lot of people Elden ring was the Gateway into the series, not everybody has to have the exact same Journey as a lot of veterans Souls players to appreciate certain characters or to be considered true fans, I'll use myself for example, bloodborne was initially the game that got me curious about the souls series but I couldn't beat it and so I left the souls series alone entirely until Elden ring came out and it Peaked my interest enough that I gave it a shot to play and now here I am trying to play bloodborne and then eventually the other games. I think the Souls series veteran players need to seriously cut some slack with some of the newer fans😂 I mean at the end of the day this beloved series is making the rounds globally and it's really freaking good I think sitting back and just enjoying it is something we all should do instead of picking apart other people just because they don't react to certain things
I played all games often and I recognized at the second time! It‘s hard to recognize everything by first time watching, because there is a lot of action.
It’s funny because when I first saw the trailer my first immediate thought when they showed Nameless King was “Ayye that’s cool, they made this boss as a little homage to NK, with the fog and everything” and then I had a closer look first at the Dragon and then the one riding it and was like “WAIT THAT’S ACTUALLY F*CKING HIM!!” as that momentary instance of overwhelming shock and adrenaline quickly dissipated into a sudden eruption of me hysterically laughing lmao, I think the exact moment it registered for me was a split second after he started chucking the Lightning Bolts.

ER is my first souls game, 600 hours played. Tried playing DS3 and Sekiro and those games are mediocre at best comparing to ER.
