Thank you, Dr. Peterson. Axel is one of the most influential thinkers of our region. We who love freedom share a great deal of respect for him. 1:36:06 As an OLD Cold Warrior listening to the Guest speak about the Free Market riches to Communist Dictators or as close as you can get without Gulags and Secret Police to Fascist and Back over the years in so many of these Countries Americans "Writ Large" wonder if ANY Of these Countries will EVER just make a Permanent Decision?! Apparently none of them have ever heard another axiom that "Freedom IS NOT FREE" EITHER TO OBTAIN BUILD OR MAINTAIN. Fully HALF of the US apparently NEVER LEARN IT EITHER ANY MORE. The more hands out for Votes the emptier the "Public Trough" until they have not only the Golden Goose, but the WHOLE DAMNED FLOCK and EVEN the LAST of the Eggs to attempt to Incubate a new one. Public is NOT GOING TO WILLINGLY KEEP PAYING OVER HALF of their OWN pay in taxes that COULD be HELPING THEIR OWN FAMILIES for Degrees students NEVER EVEN bother to check how many folks are being hired, or if it PAYS enough to pay off the Loans in a single human LIFETIME!
Axel Kaiser is one of the most intelligent and clever guy in all south america, I'm proud to be Chilean just like my fellow countryman, Thank you Jordan.
This interview has brought me to tears. I am immensely grateful to Dr. Peterson and Mr. Kaiser for their insightful analysis of Venezuelans. Like many others, I am living in exile, and as a psychoanalyst, I have witnessed the suffering of my people firsthand. My grandparents worked tirelessly to build our country, believing in a free America. Instead, our families lost everything, and we were forced to leave it all behind. Thank you so much to these wonderful people who give us a voice. My heart is filled with a glimmer of hope for our future. As long as we have such amazing individuals standing for truth against evil, there is hope.
Please make it happen!! An interview with Maria Corina Machado would be epic! She needs more exposure so more people is aware what is going in Venezuela.
I agree, the question is how to make that happen in a way that is logistically feasible and doesn't present an opportunity for the narco-commies to catch/kill her?
As a Cuban living in the USA Axel is completely right, I can't believe America goes all the way to other continents to fight for "its interests" but doesn't do anything in our own continent!! And I'm not talking about sending troops or anything, but to be informed about what's happening
I'm gonna tell you why: because of the dollar. Investing dollars domestically does nothing to promulgate the myth of the dollar, the belief that the world has in the fiat currency printed hand over fist by the fr.
It's because it's safer to fight elsewhere. Would you prefer to get into a fight in your own house and damage property and accidentally hurt a family member? No. It's best to "take it outside and settle it". We shall not be put ro risk on our own land by any means necessary. The US government acts as a sovereign ruler. It's about control and money. US acts like the police for their allies. If someone is in trouble or has a warrant with the police themselves, then the police will find that suspects location and go get him. Same thing here. US = World Police that feel they need to police other countries and invade them (or the suspects hiding place) and hold them accountable.
I'm cuban. Born and raised in that hell. I would love one day to interview by Mr. Peterson and be able to tell the atrocious things I've seen while growing in Cuba.
As a fan of Peterson and Kaiser, I have to say that this is one of the interviews that I always wanted to happen, I´ve always thought that North and South America have always been covered as separate issues, but we are fighting the same problems, I´ve been following Kaiser for years now and he talks about the problems in South America taking in consideration the historical, economic, and the mindset of the region, in the other hand I started to follow Peterson after I began to learn English and started to dig in the North American content and stumbled upon one of his talks and I liked the message that he was teaching, and the way he addressed the problems from the psychological, the spiritual and the moral point of view. As a Venezuelan I thank both of you for taking the time to put the Venezuelan crisis in the spotlight, I have to say that Kaiser has an excellent grasp of what is happening here and did a great job explaining the situation, I would like to add a little bit of what I think. Venezuela is doomed if there is no military intervention, I voted for Machado knowing Maduro was going to try to stay in power, I was one of those people that firmly believed that "En dictadura no se vota" or "in a dictatorship you don't vote", the reason of that is that I saw all the corruption, the fake opposition, and the corrupt CNE. However when I saw Maria Corina Machado, a woman who the fake opposition has always left out and someone who has been very coherent in what she says taking the lead of the opposition I thought to myself "Maybe she is the last bullet" and I started to think that she was worthy of my vote thinking (hoping) that she may have a plan, and I with my vote I could earn the moral to critic what she was doing. I know MCM is a strong leader and this could be speculation from my part but if she had a real plan of taking down Maduro she had to be in touch with some country with the capacity of doing so, taking in consideration some of the news of how she has been in touch with some congressman of United States and the recent interest of Erik Prince in showing some of the high value targets in venezuelan forces lead me to think that there could be some kind of plan that could execute right after the US elections (Only if trump wins). I had to say that i took a lot of time (more that i wanted to) writing this, there is a lot to say but there is no point in ranting in a youtube comment, in any case I really enjoyed the interview I hope that you keep doing these interviews that show that America is not only US and that we can work together to solve our problems united as one continent,
I'm Chilean and I know many Chilean that are fans of Dr Peterson. I live in Australia and was very lucky to see him in Nov. 22. Thank you Dr Peterson for interviewing Axel, who has been for years talking to Chileans about the perils of communism. As if they needed a reminder. But they evidently do!! Thank you for bringing attention to the south American struggle against the disease of communism!!
The thing is...this seems like a red scare once again. There is no communism in latam at all, there are small communist parties and such but no one actually wanting to implement true communism, which has never actually been tried at all! And so far, Capitalism hasn't shown to be better. Everyone is a wage slave or slave to money in some way or another, including medicine and art. I don't see that as good.
I'm also Chilean live in Melbourne Australia. DR Peterson thank you .The Pieces of my puzzle were always there. You helped me put the pieces to my puzzle in order.
Chilean here, living in Sydney, and also appreciate this interview. I have been following JP for a long time and what a surprise to see my countryman Axel here !
As usual, on the right side of history. As a Venezuelan, I thank you for your support, Mr. Peterson. Not the first time I´ve heard you mention us. +20 years of communist/socialist hell for us. We will get our country back, and all the help we can get is appreciated.
Axel is number 1 in defending freedom in our region. He's on the podium. I reading his first books just ate the time when Bachelet II government came to power in Chile. Years before this happened, he was already warning of the danger in the former president's collectivist speech - and the mistakes made by the center and the right wing in previous years, and why not decades? 10 years earlier, or even 15 years ago, his projections for what happened to Chile came to fruition in an important way. And I have no doubts about the success of the liberal/libertarian movement, as well as the conservative movement gaining ground in the region in the coming years. The big change will be with Javier Milei's successes in Argentina, especially when he has a majority in Congress (which should happen next year in the midterm elections). Viva la Libertad Carajo! !Capitalismo, ahorro y trabajo! All my solidarity and best wishes to the Venezuelan people.
Don't lie, this nazi belongs to the ultra right wing in Chile, he supports those who support Pinochet's US-Sponsored dictatorship, but Peterson is careful not to call Pinochet's dictatorship "totallitarian" uh? In Chile we know the nazi guest here very well, we don't like him. We will never vote him and never has he won anything.
Excellent interview! I’m Chilean, and conversations like this one give me hope. I truly hope we can see more collaborations like this one in the future. 🎉
Thank you, Jordan an Axel for addressing such a complex issue. Venezuela is a cuban colony, a communist sociopolitical experiment and a narco dictatorship, and we're more than thirty million people suffering from it. We won the presidential election and we're going to regain our contry, no matter what. ¡Viva Venezuela libre, nojoda! 🇻🇪✊🏻
I deeply thank both of you for the discussion on Venezuela. Specially to Axel who selflessly dedicated the whole interview to talk about Venezuela. It is a complex situation and it is even more complicated to explain to others but he managed to do it perfectly. And doctor Peterson addresses very intelligent questions and comments as usual. Gracias Viva la libertad carajo!
I am a venezuelan inmigrant living in Chile. I would like to thank to Mr. Axel for sharing the Venezuelan cause. I hope this message get to key actors around the world.
Excellent discussion! I’m an American that has been pretty ignorant of the Venezuelan plight. For some time now I’ve been making it a point to educate myself on issues that other countries deal with. So much of what Axel says absolutely gave me a chill! The US is heading in the direction of Venezuela if we don’t take heed!
As a Venezuelan migrant and follower of Dr. Peterson for the last 5 years, I feel very glad tĥat finally he found someone with whom to talk about my country. We are the most recent and representative cautionary tail, especially for our Latinos brother, who are still very blinded to the mountrous reality of XXI Century Socialism, as the Brazil and Colombian election showed. I hope that Dr. Peterson gets to talk to our great Maria Corina. She is the new mother of our nation. As Dr. Peterson would say: she appears to be an archetype of Abraham, the father of nations, leading us through the dessert of starvation and corruption toward a promised land. I pray for Maria Corina's wellbeing and my people, for my Venezuelan brothers and sister. Thanks, Dr. Peterson and Dr. Kaiser.
I'm a teacher of English from Venezuela (living in Venezuela) and I can say two things: Axel is right about pretty much everything Axel's English is on point
@gingeruribe4167 I must say, I'm one of those many Americans who only speaks English from Oklahoma and I can understand him easily. His accent is a little thick, but I have gotten used to listening to speakers from all over the world. His English is very good to me.
@gingeruribe4167 well, he speaks with more intelligence than a lot of Americans, that's for sure. Any smarter and people might not understand him.😅 Just kidding, kind of.... there are a lot of dumb people here.
What a great conversation! I'm Cuban, I've been following Axel for many years, has been a great influence in removing the years of communist indoctrination that I received throughout my childhood! The battle is not LEFT vs RIGHT, the enemy is Collectivism!
I am Venezuelan and I want to start by thanking you both for having a public conversation of this level about the current situation and its implications on the whole continent. This subject is shamefully absent from the mainstream media except for the few mentions it gets when, of course, the bias is self evident. Now, a few notes: Chavez came into power in 1998 after being the face shown on TV during a failed coup attempt on February the 4th of 1992. Every other participant of the coup achieved the goal/objective they were assigned; Chavez was supposed to take the military museum and failed. He was captured and shown direct/live by the media calling everyone else to surrender. A lot of people died that day. Axel said 1988 during the interview, it happens. Talking about luxury life in Venezuela and Ferraris, Ferrari has been in Venezuela for years (we had Ferrari challenge competitions in Venezuela in the 90s) but I just watched recently a video of a Tesla Cyber Truck roaming the streets of Caracas which not only reflects the abyss between poor and rich people in Venezuela but the irony of having an electric car in a country where blackouts can last for hours; it's bizarre. It's worth saying that Venezuela is a kidnapped country, in need of rescue. In a country where firearms have been prohibited, seized from civilians and criminalized while the regular crime, organized crime and the colectivos (pro-government organizations) are heavily armed and the military and police forces are partial to the regime and not the citizens there's no feasible way to resolve the current situation internally. Certainly you vote the socialists in, never out. Those colectivos were not mentioned in this part of the interview, the "Círculos Bolivarianos¨" are. The last started as groups to promote "Simón Bolívar" thinking, ideas; the "Colectivos" started as groups oriented towards the general teaching of culture and literacy for the people. The "Circulos" ended up becoming tools for espionage and the "Colectivos"became an instrument of repression and violence. To this day you can see recent videos of the Colectivos arriving at protests opening fire on the citizens while the police and National Guard just step aside allowing them to do so. The infamous "Tren de Aragua" -Aragua's train- is an organized criminal group that has been exported from the city I grew up in, "Maracay", to the whole continent including the US. One strategy of the regime was to allow crime run free as a means of social control; This is one of the results of said policy. This organization was run from the jails, now their robbing, killing, torture, kidnaping, extortion, etc., practices have been successfully exported everywhere camouflaged or just mixed into the migrant population. An agent of violence, as a very aggressive cancer, very hard to get rid of. Repression in Venezuela is so bad, the situation is so bizarre that criminals are hunting and fighting colectivos, police and National Guard to defend people.. an upside-down world. Many videos out there about this. Lastly, María Corina Machado boldly called out Chavez and his followers out on their lies and corruption while serving as an elected "diputada" to the "National Assembly" in Venezuela. Her trajectory is long, she's been fighting for a long time now; not a newcomer by any means. Bold woman, no doubt!
Gracias paisano por esa magistral síntesis....! Hay tanto que decir de la tiranía, pero en pocas palabras hiciste un muy buen resumen. Saludos desde Chile.
Wonderful guest! I can see the stress of his passionate concerns on his face. My husband and I kneel in prayer each night. We pray for freedom lovers throughout the world. Thank you Mr Kaiser!🇺🇸👍❤️
Thank you Dr Peterson. We are suffering here in Venezuela the most cruel Totalitarian Regime the Western Hemisphere has had at least in the last 40 years.
Amazing to see someone intellectual, respectful like A. Keiser explaining so well the situation in my country, so well explained and specially the impact of the issue in the world, and why people should care. I pray to GOD that Maria Corina Machado can be interviewed by Jordan Peterson would be a very important interview for us Venezuelans. Thanks you both . 🇻🇪

I'm Venezuelan living in Venezuela. One other thing that must be taken into account, is that both Chávez and Maduro have been deep into the occult, and it has harmed the country in so many ways. Venezuelan journalist David Placer has done an interview about this matter, he wrote a book about it, and even has been an eye witness to the many horrors that these people do to stay in power. Thank you Dr Peterson for bringing up Axel Keiser in this interview, and thank you Axel for speaking up in our favour. God bless you! 🇨🇦🇨🇱🇻🇪
Thaks Axel, for bringging the venezuelan case to Dr Peterson, it is important to spread what is happening in my country. We have to stop Maduro´s dictatorship!
As a Venezuelan, I certify that everything that was discussed here is 100% true. Thank you for being the voice of many people who have suffered this dictatorship for 25 years 🇻🇪🆘
As a Chilean, I feel proud that someone as cultured and with ideas as clear and powerful as Axel Kaiser has come so far, a source of pride for our entire country and all of Latin America, let's hope this is just the beginning.
I am Chilean, like Axel Kaiser. I admire him. He has fought for years to teach people that socialism/communism is a criminal ideology. Thank you, Axel Kaiser, for your commitment to freedom and the common good.
He sais “there are far left governments in Colombia, brazos and Mexico”. But that’s just subjective interpretation. Most people here see this governments as “moderate left” and the past government of his admired Alvaro Uribe, as “far right”.
@@alfonsoespriellawhen you have those governments applying the same modus operandi and uniting regionally, you cannot call them "moderate left". Modifying the Constitution so that justice can be served by "popular choice" is not moderate left anywhere, that's literal mob rule.
Axel is Chile’s brightest gem, very intellectual and a freedom loving person, a very rare individual that I think more people should cherish in Chile, but many don’t cuz our institutions have been overtaken by similar forces that were seeing in the US. Many of the US issues can also be seen here in Chile. What a pleasant surprise to see him conversing with Jordan Peterson.
How can you not love Axel as an Argentinian. He is one of the top promoters of libertarianism in Latin America by far together with Milei and Agustin Laje. ♥
As a Venezuelan 🇻🇪 thanks for this, I'm enrolled in Peterson Academy and fighting forward from Venezuela, and we have several problems here that can be use as an example of the caos you can have into a country if you submit into the wrong ideological ideas.
Thank you Axel and Mr Peterson for talking about Venezuela drama. Axel was here in Puerto Rico some years ago and was already taking about the Venezuelan regime. He was right then and now.
Wow. I'm a Guatemalan living in Los Angeles, I've been following Alex Kaiser for many years.... He was the one to introduce me to the work of Javier Milei. This interview with 2 great ones is a must watch....
Jordan, if you were able to interview Maria Corina Machado would mean so much for all Latin American people who still believe in freedom and western values. I'm a Colombian and just a few decades ago Colombians flee to Venezuela looking for work opportunities. Now its all the way around and Venezuelans have bee drawn to live in miserable conditions in my country, just because a cabale of far left Socialists/Communist full of greed and envy want to hold power to fill their own miserable pockets. There's still a chance to overthrow Maduro in a peacefull way if the U.S. just buckle its pants and defend the liberty of the Venezuelan people to decide how to live. Venezuela is much more close than Ukraine and surely is in need of help. This criminal bully muat be stopped!
Dr. Peterson, I have been a long-time follower of yours; as a Venezuelan born US citizen I want to thank you for your effort to explain the Venezuelan situation to the American audience...it's been very frustrating to me to watch that country descending into chaos, and not many in the US paying attention. I guess the Venezuelan prison gangs committing crimes in NYC, Chicago, etc. are also helping people understand why fixing the Venezuelan problem is important. Thank you Sir !
I'm a South African living in Chile. I'm hoping what's happened in Venezuela and what's happening in Argentina will push this country way over to the right. PS. Was awesome to see you in Santiago!
I can see the similarities between what's happening in south america with the ANC in South Africa. The ANC also used democracy as smokescreen to further their communist ideology. Lucky we kind of saw it coming.
Thank you Dr Peterson and Axel Kaiser for your interest in Venezuela and using this platform and the millions views you can potencially get to highlight the drama Venezuelans are living😢 Thank you❤
I am chilean, Axel comes from a family of patriots. His sister Vanessa, PHD in philosophy is a very well known fighter against gender ideology and his brother Johannes is the best deputy that the right has in Chile. He always owns the left.
As a long time follower of Jordan’s and Axel’s content, I truly appreciate the exposure of the living hell that Venezuela is going through for the last 25yrs. Many thanks Mr. Jordan and to Axel, it is amazing that Axel is not a Venezuelan but truly and fully understand with amazing insights the situation that Venezuela is going through, thanks as well Axel! International help is indeed needed in order to break to corrupt shell that has been put in place slaving its citizens, impossible to free themself on their own means for Venezuelans!
I'm chilean and I really love my country, sadly we have this people in the power, wanting to destroy our economy and democracy. Thank U Dr Peterson for this interview with Axel, he is like the only thinker that we have, we need more people like him.
The number of people fleeing Venezuela to Brazil is massive. Hunger has become an unwelcome and persistent problem in Venezuelan households, leading people to flee out of desperation. Unless the USA takes action, as Mr. Joordan said, "a lot more trouble" is on the way. Venezuelans do not want to leave their country; they want help to get it back.

I’m a Chilean filmmaker and writer. For me another very scary thing is that the Marxist ideology dominates the majority of the education system in my country, from schools to universities. As a result, they have the monopoly in the world of intellectuals and artists, to the point that when you don’t share their ideology you become completely ostracized. Stay strong María Corina Machado and Venezuela.
that is happening all over the west. Most of the universities are dominated by the left ideology. So you have to be the contrasting voice or at least try to bring more discussion to the table
The art and intellectual world in Chile are echo chambers, that's why lately there's so little work with true artistic or revolutionary value that aren't spoiled by politics. I come from the world of literature and writers and it took me some years to realize this. When I did, this fact completely ruined it for me, and also the fact that I have to hide my opinions.
It's been a pleasure to listen to you both holding such a brilliant talk on present Latin America's woes. May God spare us! Greetings from Querétaro , México.

Dearest Dr. Peterson, I spent my weekend with you and Spencer and Ben and Jonathan in Jerusalem, Athens, and Bethlehem. I have not got my words yet. My heart is overflowing. But I was beyond all expression blessed by the Foundations of the West series. It was what my heart dearly needed. I can’t express how much. And I don’t think you or anyone knew how timely the series would be in a post October 7th world. And speaking of which, my latest from Wrong Speak is out tomorrow. Entitled “Saving Their Lives With A Story: Fighting Antisemitism With the Power of Narrative,” it is a meditation on the way in which story can instill a love that will defeat the hate… by “hate” I mean “the wanton wish for destruction and desolation” … so prevalent in the world today. With so very, very much love Ruth Anne
Thanks, Mr. Peterson and Axel. I have been following your work for a while, and your perspectives are always valuable. Mr. Peterson, thank you for your genuine empathy and the support you have brought to the youth. I find it particularly interesting that you pointed out the problem's depth is more than political. I am wondering what the root causes are, then. The example of the effectiveness of empathetic managers highlights how a positive attribute can lead to negative outcomes. By extension, does this mean a "good person" in a negative environment will inevitably fail or become corrupted? What are the impacts on the human psyche? Despite the altruistic nature of capitalism as proposed by Axel or Milei for example, it is also true that real-world practices are often unfair and more tailored toward sabotage and domination to secure limited roles in hierarchical organizations. Unfortunately, while the left is accurate in pointing out these weaknesses and keen to take advantage by delivering false promises that ruin people's life, my question is how can we fix our system to make it sustainable? Regards
As a Brazilian I'm deeply saddened by the our foreign policy on this issue. Makes me very sad for the struggles we might face going forward as well as the chances of Venezuelan democracy. It's a very straightforward issue.
6 days... still waiting for that Maria Corina and Jordan podcast to take place. This conversation is so powerful I can't get my head around why people stopped debating these things on a daily basis.

I'm glad Peterson interviewed Axel as they would talk about politic and many other political issues and regarding Socialism, it has never suceeded especially in South America, think of countries like Venezuela or Cuba whose regimes seem endless. In fact, I've been talking to some Venezuelans, who ask desperately the USA to intervene their country, well that's what happened in Chile on September 11th, 1973 when Democracy & Politic collapsed during the Salvador Allende's government.
Jordan Peterson, you are the only person who has been willing to bring this to the table. Thank you for helping us in Latin America by just talking about this issue.

Yes, please have an interview with Maria Corina. She is in my prayers 24/7. A true crusader for Peace and deserves the Nobel peace and ❤
Yes Mr. Jordan!
I agree, the question is how to make that happen in a way that is logistically feasible and doesn't present an opportunity for the narco-commies to catch/kill her?
Sería maravilloso!
It's imperative to hear the message of Machado.
The USA knows that’s going on in Cuba, Venezuela and all the other countries. They’re just looking to the other side.
@@MartB-tx5lb is not the dollar, its plain and simply stupidity and retardation.
Oh but we do need some sort of military intervention in Venezuela right now.
I'm cuban. Born and raised in that hell. I would love one day to interview by Mr. Peterson and be able to tell the atrocious things I've seen while growing in Cuba.
Leftist will find the way to tell you that Cuba is not a real SOCIALIST UTOPIA.
Can you name some of them in this comment? I think it would help people to read some
Congratulations, Axel! You’re even more coherent in English. Thanks for this tremendous collaboration! Greetings from Chile.

We are the most recent and representative cautionary tail, especially for our Latinos brother, who are still very blinded to the mountrous reality of XXI Century Socialism, as the Brazil and Colombian election showed. I pray for Maria Corina's wellbeing and my people, for my Venezuelan brothers and sister. Thanks, Dr. Peterson and Dr. Kaiser.

Same thing is happening in US… it’s full octane since Biden administration
that is happening all over the west.

It's a very straightforward issue.

as a chilean I couldn't be more proud to see axel talking to jordan. Axel is one of the few ppl fighting for freedom in south america and in chile in particular. He is one of our champions of liberty!!!
Im from Chile and proud that another chilean such as Axel Kaiser has reached that far!!
And his brother is running for president here.
And their sister Vanessa is such a brilliant woman.
Greetings from Chile 🇨🇱❤🇨🇦
Llegase a ser un serio postulante a presidente Johannes kaiser y te juro que me decepcionaría de mi país entero.

thanks mr Peterson for invite Axel to your podcast....greetings from a fan from Chile
We, as chileans, can be proud on Axel Kaiser 👏👏👏👏👏
As a Chilean, I am embarrassed by Kayser's pathetic show.
I’m a 75 year old Californian. I have and will always care about any humans who lose their freedoms. We are an interconnected world. Evil always spreads. We must support freedom.
@@JavaZombie Read carefully, you didn't understand what he said.
You’re the best Mr. Peterson
YES!!! Interview with Maria Corina Machado and ASAP!!! Before any new negative developments occur. Time is of an essence on this. Please, please make it happen!! THANK YOU!!! It is a total blessing having Dr. Jordan Peterson taking an interest on the situation in Venezuela and it will be even greater a blessing to give Maria Corina Machado the opportunity to reach your audience. THANK YOU!!!
En hora buena Axel👍great interview... Thank you both...this kind of videos are more valuable than gold😊 FREEDOM🎖️🇻🇪🇨🇱
