Sustainable development in Canada has been a topic of much debate and discussion over the years. As a country rich in natural resources, Canada has a responsibility to ensure that these resources are managed in a sustainable and responsible manner. This is where the concept of sustainable development comes in.
Sustainable development is the idea of meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. It encompasses a wide range of issues, including environmental protection, economic growth, social inclusion, and good governance. In Canada, there have been various initiatives and policies put in place to promote sustainable development, such as the Green Slush Fund.
The Green Slush Fund, colloquially known as a “bastion of corruption like pigs at a trough,” has been a controversial aspect of Canada's sustainable development efforts. This fund has been criticized for its lack of transparency and accountability, leading to concerns about misuse of funds and unethical practices. The committee should have an RCMP representative in-house at all times to hold these people accountable to their statements. And as a witness, or interviewee, their statements should be useable in court. Yes, I know, that will create conflict but if they sign a waiver to gain immunity for their statements, their bosses and theirs and others can be inplicated so government documents may not have to eb waited on.
