- The Final Mermaid Costume for my MER-MAY series! You guys this project was so much fun and it came together really fast! I loved sewing it and piecing the fabrics together to make the dress! This Costume is inspired by Disneys "The Little Mermaid" and Based Heavily off of Hannah Alexander's Original Artwork for "Shipwrecked Ariel". I don't think the wig is that bad, it reminds me of how curly hair curls after swimming in the sea, which is perfectly appropriate for this cosplay

Stunning! I love how this turned out! I think your cosplay outfits having a 3-day to 1-week turn-around is definitely inspiring.
I like to do quick cosplays sometimes, it helps me stay creative! I just finished a BIG cosplay and I feel so burned out from it, ill share the video soon but I can't even LOOK at the outfit or the footage without feeling overwhelmed by it 😅

Mermaid hair is an unrealistic beauty standard anyway, I think the wig didn't look as bad on camera but the colour is super bright! Have you seen the Morgan Donner Video on the shipwreck dress. Super interesting

I think part of what did you dirty with the wig was using a heat gun rather than a blow-dryer I think the heat gun got the hair too hot, but even so you're right you can tell it's Ariel and the whole cosplay is beautiful so you know it serves its purpose ❤❤❤
lol it wouldn’t be the first time the heat gun did me dirty 😂🤦🏻♀️ the wig is also from 2009 and has been THROUGH it 😂 lol wig styling is one of my weak spots in cosplay, I’d love to get better but I genuinely don’t enjoy styling them 😂😂😂
You don't know me, but you are now a lifesaver for me! I'm about to start making Zelda's new dress from Tears of the Kingdom, and I had NO idea where to start before watching your videos. I love your method for pinning fabric onto a dress form until you get it right, as I don't have a pattern to work from. Thank you for sharing your process with us!
I made a Zelda dress in this exact same method and just used a store bought corset to pin everything to and it WORKED SO WELL 🙌🏽 good luck on your Zelda dress!!

Bonus-it's many pieces so you can totally mix and match them for/with other outfits later: RenFaire layers, heck you could JUST replace the rope with a gold chain/leather harness and even with the hair convince us you were a main character in a greek mythology film 🧡🧡🧡
