I like how they made an entire channel pretending that Chicago exists. I have to admit that that is some serious dedication.
I'm almost 30 hours into this game and in essence it's the closest to dating a Russian woman.
Beautiful.

The game's tutorial leaves quite an impression on you. Completing the tutorial involves getting into a boss fight.

I plan on picking this game up it looks like a blast.

I believe they wanted to keep original reactions before playing whole video from start. A bit odd that they just don't display reaction video in editing instead
Looks like they're both recording using a built in webcam and playing back at the same time using a low-spec computer. It can't keep up and is having buffer issues hence the glitches. I suppose they've lost their camera person or something.
Highfleet is one of those games I'd describe as a rough diamond. It has some frustrating features, the tutorial doesn't really explain much about the ship building and the game sorta just throws you into the action and let's you figure things out on your own, which is good and bad. It's a very rewarding game, I just don't have the patience to master it. But putting all the problems I have with it aside, it's a one man passion project with incredible gameplay. The whole dogfighting three enemies at once seems daunting but it's actually really fun whne you get into the swing of things. Just play through it and look up things if you get stuck, and while you *will* die your first dozen attempts, it'll only make you appreciate victory even more.
In other words: it's your usual slavjunk masterpiece ;)

you really need to fix all the editing and glitching issues ... its starting to get worse and worse each video ...
This was the first video that I noticed it, and yeah, it's horrendous
OBS has been having issues recently, but they should be fixed by now, i do wonder what exactly has gone on that caused the editing to break so horribly.

@@RazanaArcclaw there are two things that I think could have happened, either their servers are having some problems or they are upgrading their hardware.
@@RazanaArcclaw here is the problem. Even if OBS is having a problem the one who edit the video should have notice if something went wrong with the recording. Most of the recent videos on this channel looks like they don't have proper QA at all. I like the reactors so I hope the production team got their act together.

if yall fail at even the most basic level of video editing, consider hiring an editor. ur vids have been dropping in quality for weeks now, starting from audio quality, and now a glitchy video
Now now, don't be too harsh. It might have been something wrong in the background instead of lack of effort here. Give it some time, first.

You know, I've been thinking about this for a while, so I've gotta ask it.
Is the VHS style camera intentional, or was it the lighting? Nowadays, whenever I see the video, it reminds me of the early 2000 movies.
Somehow, I personally found it really appealing to me. A Retro Chicago style.
That, or its the rendering issue for UA-cam or my phone not loading it correctly.
Imma be honest, I think they're still learning the technical side of things, because there's a lot of glitching in both video and audio going around.
@@beo3828 I expected that. What I was referring to is spesifically the way the lighting makes them look like it was filmed at the time VHS was pretty much still in circulation.
You can see how it makes Kira and Kit looks like they suddenly regain some vitality, as if the clock was turned several years to the past.
The glitch was very much noticeable, but I'm the type of guy that focuses on the brighter side of things, and I know how hectic things can be when you tries to do multiple things at once, like what they're trying to do with the multiple channels being run at the same times.
Still, good to know they have supporters like you. They're going to need us in this harsh times.

The game is difficult, doesn't explain itself well, but it is entirely unique. The setting and the world are interesting and though you only get glimpses of it, the way the game incorporates its mechanics into its presentation makes it instantly absorbing. Recommended, but only if you can manage a high level of frustration.
Also, my favourite shipdesign was the FastCrab. A small, fast tanker with radar to support my raiding fleets and steal all the fuel from everywhere.

My experience with this game? I got fucking destroyed the first 3 times... then I got angry... and when attacked during my 4th game by a strikefleet I fired nukes..... and then every damn strikefleet still around began firing nukes at MY fleet and I got squashed in atomic hellfire... and since then I haven't touched the nukes XD gimme regular cruise missiles any day.
Still haven't reached a victory cuz this game is HARD.... unless I do cheaty insane stuff like build a literal flying sword to smash enemy ships - yes this works, no I do not wanna exploit the game mechanics in a way you really shouldn't make it work. But yeah, learned that there's a serious need for to design your own ships or download others' creations. Also, big ships are extremely expensive to buy or make in-game.

Haha. Great vid. If you're going to start a gaming channel, StarSector would be a good choice. It's indie, has great tutorials, an easy mode, and pretty much endless gameplay.

In game jammer works pretty much like the real stuff, but more violent and "stupid" (irl jammers are smart AF, for example they can pick up enemy radar's operational frequency and focus all energy on that), basically it's a STRONG radio emission source that is "louder" than every other radio singnals around you, thus enemy radars can't pick up any echo, thus makes you "invisible" to them and their missiles. It's like holding up a real bright light in dark, all other people see will only be a confusing blob of light instead of you.
BUT.
There's another type of missiles in game, anti-radiation missiles, they will home on the strongest radio emission source. And the strongest radio source is... Your jammer.
Your enemy has them, and will definitely use them.
So that button is really more for stress relief.
Or you use it like a well-educated narcissistic aristocrat, mount a fuckload of them on a bunch of expendable ships and send them away towards missiles with their jammers on full blast while your main fleet is busting out, who gives a F about those petty crews right?
BTW those "truckers" are enemy strike groups and tactical groups, when you face them you will hear that "you hear this you are already dead" song a lot.
I love how they have the reactive emotion of a dead rat for most of the video. Very relatable

What the hell is happening?! Why are these videos getting more and more glitchy?! Its not bad enough your only reacting to THE most popular videos and appearing to ignore and smaller creator's content just chasing views, but now your videos are continuing to get more and more glitchy and just plain bad! Also their were two different takes here! I would hope that something got corrupted and you had to redo it, so help me god if that was evidence that none of these reactions are blind at all I would be disgusted from the sheer betrayal of it all.
i agree with most of this except "your only reacting to the most popular videos" they do so mostly cause they are popular, which means more people are requesting them. They go through the stuff people request the most, and then work on others as well. like they did the neil halloran vid, indeimaus, emkay, jontron, martincitopants, templin institue, technoblade. they do, do smaller vids or channels, but of course the most popular stuff is going to be the most requested.
but yeah idk whats going on with the editing, as OBS did have a famous bug a bit ago, but it got fixed rather quickly, which would explain a bit of error time, but this has been obviously multiple recording sessions now, so idk whats going on anymore. i do assume the multiple takes is something happened and they had to restart cause of an error or something however, as you can see the producer go and pause the video, so maybe they had to stop and restart for some reason, so they restarted.
@@RazanaArcclaw Idk I'm just frustrated, I've yet to see them reaction to a video that isn't from a channel with a million or in the ball park of a million subs is all. So its hard to not feel like they are just chasing statistics, and the weird glitches is something I've never seen a react channel struggle with before so that's rather confusing as well.
@@RedeemerofDark well max0r they commonly watch 500k, templin insittue 470k, mikeburnfire 380k, sonny evans 500k, volgun 770k, senza 500k, and a fair few at 800k+ but yeah those are nearing a mill. then of course random video game stuff.
But yeah of course they will watch popular videos as thats what people want to see, watching vids only a couple people want is not really a good practice, as usually the bigger videos bring in more people, and are more entertaining and well made.
But yeah the weird glitches idk man. i started off on youtube as an editor and now i manage editors and like idk how this could happen so often.

@@RedeemerofDark they did go over most of them semi recently, but yeah most recently they have been doing the most popular, again cause thats what people request the most.
And yeah, they have construction going on all the time upstairs as the office upstairs is currently being renovated so i dont blame when the audio is a BIT odd because of that (they will sometimes partially mute the audio to hide that)
and of course sometimes in the recording process stuff can go wrong, or of course editors can miss stuff, or files can corrupt, or even renderings can corrupt, i can not tell you how many times when i used to edit i would render a 20 minutes video, then find a few flickers or audio cut outs from when my computer would chug for a moment and suddenly cause a render error.
So them happening is no concern, but how OFTEN they happen is concerning, they should for sure put in some quality assurance, as an editor should watch all the vids at even 2x speed to double check before stuff goes live, as yeah how they included the intro twice is odd, although luckily if they notice they can actually fix that in youtube, as youtube will let you cut out parts of your video, you cant add or edit stuff, but you can cut out parts of your video, so they can just cut out that messed up intro of course if they notice the problem.
