Queen Bey Yes it is hilarious. You are american. You are cute. I am french. So, would you like a rendez-vous (which is the french word for your "date")?
SteveStevens That's why a position as a DJ would be great. There hasn't been the same DJ for every show. If she were a co-host she'd have to be there everyday that the show is taped. Ellen has had a few guest DJs when Twitch isn't here or available. She's had Loni Love who is a co-host on The Real as her guest DJ while The Real is on hiatus. So, Wanda can be a DJ and still do everything else she does.
We do tip in Europe, if the waiter and service was good. Unlike America we don't tip just as a neccesary habit.. Sometimes the service charge is included in the bill (check), otherwise it is at the discretionary of the customer. Some families tip, some don't, it's a generosity not an expected pressure or neccessity.
Tipping is not an unnecessary habit in America.... It's generosity for someone's service they earn it, and if they don't we don't tip or at least as much. It's basically out of generosity, not out of unnecessary habit.
Scott Bruggeworth Joanne said a necessary habit, not unnecessary... and tipping started because the workers didn't get paid enough, so it was a necessary habit. Tipping is now something that people still do even though restaurants aren't as stingy with the money as they used to be (although minimum wage is still not very much to live off of)
ButterfleeEllie waiters make below minimum wage. Minimum wage for regular jobs is $7.25, minimum wage for a waiter is $4.75, which after taxes looks more like $2
it's always been a choice here in America too, but maybe the difference is it's considered extremely rude if you don't leave one and it's an American does not leave a tip in the United States it means that the service was atrocious and they're never coming back.
Karla Valentine oh ok good to know, well it's not like that in France, if we don't tip the restaurant doesn't care, but if we do, we're considered extremely nice. depending on what country we're in, money is really seen differentely :)
Just a note: the 5 euros bill is different in size from the 10 or the 20 or 50 or 100 or 200 or 500 (same goes for coins) so that blind people can actually recognize the money they're using. Not sure about the colour though lol
Laura Ragazzi Actually €100 is green. €50 is orange, €20 is blue and €5 is grey. I’m Irish 🤷🏼♀️ was in Italy last month as I’ve Italian friends, gorgeous country!
Lol my aunt is from the UK like me and when she new york on business, naturally she didnt tip because we dont, so the waiter literally chased her down the street to get a tip from her. It was hilarious
Actually, I find it weird that US dollars are all the same sizes and colors, I would check like ten times if I didn't give the 100$ bill instead of the 1$.
Tipping is kinda ridiculous when you think about it. You already pay for the food, which includes money for the cook and waiters. So why pay any extra? I also don't give my teacher a tip when she's doing her job right...
In the US, it is legal to pay waiters below the minimum wage. They are going off the basis that most people will leave a 10-15% tip which makes up the rest. It's a stupid system.
Here in the US, they need to remove the ridiculous idea of mandatory tipping so the owners aren't obligated to give their workers below minimum wage, which in most cities isn't enough to independently support yourself.
OMG my chest is hurting Im laughing so much! Tears running down my face I could hardly breath... rewatching Wanda Sykes interviews on Ellen and I think Ill have to stop before I have a heart attack lol
Am I the only one thinking of Wanda and Ellen sitting on those red chairs that the show had last year? I kindda miss these chairs :\ Welcome to Ellen show 2015 Wanda. Good to see ya at your best again ;o)
As a french person, I just love how Wanda sounds when it comes to describe French stereotypes. Unfortunately France lost its baguettes, its berets... we have been invaded since the Marshall Plan by a destructive American culture: mac donald, the comeback of burger king, starbucks, subway ... a disaster
I don't really comment, but I have to say Wanda Sykes and Ellen are the perfect comedy match... I love watching everything about them both! Great laughs!
I was a waiter on the ferries to Sweden back in 1988. Worked 12 hour shifts and loved it. Felt more like 4 hours with all the fun we had. Made about 18 dollars an hour. Good wage back then, even in Denmark ☺️
Ellen DeGeneres is a wonderful human being. I just keep finishing my data every day on UA-cam watching. How I wish I could have you on television in my country. Keep on keeping on great woman
Europeans do tip and for some reason in many places it's considered rude not to. For me though, as a Swede they probably make more money than me. I rarely eat in a restaurant cuz it's expensive af, so if on a rare occasion I can afford it it feels weird to tip for a bare minimum most of the times. A "hello here's your menu" *brings out food* "hope your dinner was alright". Like dude they already earn more than me, now I gotta basically for a hi? No, I will be polite and say my genuine thank yous. I'll call a hotline or something if I wanna pay 10 bucks for a hello 😅
France, tips are including in the prices. So you don't really need to tip (unless you want to tip twice). Usually, people leave less than 0.30€ for a coffee upto 5€ for a meal in a restaurant, this is a custom (either rich or not, student, business men,...)
"yeah yeah and i paint their face in mime too Ellen, what the hell is wrong with you?!" OH MY GOD LMFAO HILARIOUS
I died there lolll
Hahahahahahaha
Queen Bey Yes it is hilarious. You are american. You are cute. I am french. So, would you like a rendez-vous (which is the french word for your "date")?
that was hilarious!!
My stomach seriously hurts so bad 😂😂😂
"The hell's wrong with you?" Made me crack completely
'' We just give 'em baguette , and little beret and mime face and off to school in their imaginary bike '' This bit have me crackin' up !
'What the hell is wrong with you, Ellen?' :D
i just love their chemistry. more wanda please ellen!!!
👍👍
Wanda Sykes should be a regular segment on the show. They always have an interesting conversation.
I love how Wanda isn’t afraid to cuss out Ellen, every one of her guests seem to “respectfully idolise” her but Wanda has no chill and I love that 😂😂
There is nothing funnier than a conversation between Wanda Sykes and Ellen. I love it when she has Wanda on the show. They always crack me up.
"ellen what the hell is wrong with you?" lmao i can't.
Then please don't.
Ellen should hire Wanda Sykes as an additional DJ.
Wanda should host and Ellen can be the DJ.
Omg yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

+alwaysarcastic I agree!
+SteveStevens I was just gonna say. LOL at these people

Okay so basically like I said we don't need to anymore cause minimum wage is higher... But it's generosity like I said...
ButterfleeEllie waiters make below minimum wage. Minimum wage for regular jobs is $7.25, minimum wage for a waiter is $4.75, which after taxes looks more like $2
Annie .Manildoo your point?
I feel that everytime Wanda goes on the show she talks about this
I was just thinking this... The title of the video is always the same too.
Because its always entertaining so ellen always asks.
Same feeling, but she's just hilarious.
I feel diarrhea.
TootsieTheTina i feel like you need to see a toilet like asap.....
Actually we do tip, but it's not mandatory at all. It's up to us, usually I tip in a restaurant or a bar when the waiter is nice lol
+demeko96 me too
it's always been a choice here in America too, but maybe the difference is it's considered extremely rude if you don't leave one and it's an American does not leave a tip in the United States it means that the service was atrocious and they're never coming back.

demeko96
but in France the tip ( 15 per cent) is included in the bill
charlot et charlotte what do you mean ?
U can see that Ellen loves having Wanda on the show. Wanda's always invited back, i think every season and Ellen's contantly laughing at her jokes :)
OMG WANDA WANDA WANDA
Wanda Sykes is so freaking funny!!!!!!!! I LOVE THESE GIRLS
DA HELL IS WRONG WITCHUU?? AHHAHAHAHHAHA
WANDA IS ONE OF THE MOST HILARIOUS WOMAN IN THE WORLD, I LOVE HER.
Wanda's hair looks beautiful!!!!
Ellen gets so truly happy when Wanda comes on, I love it
You can be the Emmy hosts every year! The world needs yal. This powerful duet!
Just a note: the 5 euros bill is different in size from the 10 or the 20 or 50 or 100 or 200 or 500 (same goes for coins) so that blind people can actually recognize the money they're using.
Not sure about the colour though lol
Our money in Canada is the same size but they are all different colours, just because IT'S BEAUTIFUL :)
jasmineturgeon Our money does look really nice!
jasmineturgeon And we have braille on ours.
They are in different colors so we can recognize them more easily
Yes, the brazilian "REAL" follows the same logic.
the 5 euro bill is gray, you might just threw 20 euros hahah
oh no - she's just throwing money away
I also think she did throw in a 20.5euro is grayish green.
5€ is the green one. I am italian
Laura Ragazzi Actually €100 is green. €50 is orange, €20 is blue and €5 is grey. I’m Irish 🤷🏼♀️ was in Italy last month as I’ve Italian friends, gorgeous country!
is green not grey.....at least google it id you don't know, instead of making up stuff
so in America people are obligated to tip? that must suck
It doesn't suck. It actually feels nice to tip someone.
Lol my aunt is from the UK like me and when she new york on business, naturally she didnt tip because we dont, so the waiter literally chased her down the street to get a tip from her. It was hilarious
Selinna Ra really? i dont , being a student i dont have money for that, especially if i had to pay for rude staff that would suck
izabel vasconcellos you don't HAVE to pay if you don't want to though. I mean i wouldn't pay for a rude staff either lol.
As far as I know, tax ins't included in the price you see on the menu either. :/ really weird system.
Yeah and I paint their face in mine too! What the hell is wrong with you?? Hahaha god I love you Wanda...
"Yeah, I paint their faces like mimes too! ......da hayl's wrong wit chu??" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 #RIPme
I love Wanda Sykes and Ellen..❤️❣️♥️
I love Wanda, she cracks me up everytime.
she is my favorite guest!
I love it when Wanda comes to visit. Send her family they're hilarious. Lol
I LOVE WANDA SYKES! & ELLEN! MRS SYKES IS SO FUNNY!!
Never get tire of seeing Wanda in your show Ellen.
. wanda is an extraordinary mother. It’s always a great pleasure to meet her
Actually, I find it weird that US dollars are all the same sizes and colors, I would check like ten times if I didn't give the 100$ bill instead of the 1$.
MaevaD I find it weird too, and I live in the US, but I'm from Brussels, Belgium (of West African and Caribbean origin).
Same! I'm Canadian, living in the US, and the money here is so confusing!
2019!!!!! Literally watched this three times back to back and its only getting funnier
we need more Wanda Sykes in our lives, she is actually my favourite person in the world.
I love when they're together, they genuinely have fun!
I love it when Wanda comes on Ellen I always look forward to hear about her life!
I hope one day Wanda's wife can give up that nasty imaginary smoking habit.
LMAO!! Bless you...
we smoke in France it's our desert -_- lol
Europeans in general tend to smoke more
The fact that she doesnt smoke and thats just how her wife views her is hilarious!😂
666
Wanda never ceases to amuse me. What a great clip! I was laughing my socks off. :P
Oh man, I can't get over how funny those two are together!
Great chemistry
These two together are hilarious 🤣🤣🤣
She's hilarious , they both are. Damnn!! Haha.
Tipping is kinda ridiculous when you think about it. You already pay for the food, which includes money for the cook and waiters. So why pay any extra? I also don't give my teacher a tip when she's doing her job right...

well I am just a tad above the poverty line and I don't mind one bit to throw a few bucks on the table, jesus fkn Christ!
I was trying to comment something to shut the hell you up.... but your comment is so stupid that i am speechless
I didn't know waiters get paid that little. In my country they have a normal salary (not very high tho) and tips aren't 'socially obligatory'...
OMG !! too funny !! I am a French citizen .. miss my country and family so much !! thank you for the good laugh !
Same here ❤
I love Wanda Sykes!
I kindda miss these chairs :\
Welcome to Ellen show 2015 Wanda. Good to see ya at your best again ;o)
Yes I don't care for the white chairs
michael goode yes I don't care period...
As a french person, I just love how Wanda sounds when it comes to describe French stereotypes. Unfortunately France lost its baguettes, its berets... we have been invaded since the Marshall Plan by a destructive American culture: mac donald, the comeback of burger king, starbucks, subway ... a disaster
Same here in Germany! I'm just waiting for a Taco Bell or Olive Garden.
Baguettes of all kinds are sold in every boulangerie on every street in every city and town.
The Marshall Plan has nothing to do with it.
“The hell is wrong with you Ellen” I died 💀😂😂😂😂😂
I don't really comment, but I have to say Wanda Sykes and Ellen are the perfect comedy match... I love watching everything about them both! Great laughs!
I've never seen a guest make Ellen laugh so hard in my life. Binge-watching Wanda is heaven for the happy hormones
they really need to do a comedy tour together!
Wanda Sykes is HILARIOUS
The blue bill is 20 euros. It's about 25 bucks. And tipping does exist, but it's not mandatory :)
~ a lonely french girl
wickedly funny Wanda 😂
😂😂😂😂 love this is show so much watch it as soon as I get home from school.
I'm on my period I shouldn't be laughing so hard😂😂😂
Haha, I love that at the end when Ellen says "that's what I would do," So funny!!
Yes! I was literally watching old Wanda Sykes videos the other day. She's so funny
I love when she comes on!!!
We do tip here in France, but it is not compulsory! It's all up to you, if you liked the service, do not hesitate to tip !
God bless you Ellen for being a blessing unto us , I love watching you
She's so right about tipping. I love Wanda Skyes.
I lost it when Wanda said yeah i paint their faces too. Like on the floor losing it. Like really ellen?? Really? 😂😂
I was a waiter on the ferries to Sweden back in 1988. Worked 12 hour shifts and loved it. Felt more like 4 hours with all the fun we had. Made about 18 dollars an hour. Good wage back then, even in Denmark ☺️
Wanda Sykes thankyou for making me smile and laugh what a healthy service!
Wanda Sykes is so much fun, I always crack up when she is on the show....

'Yeah and I paint their faces too, what the hell is wrong with you'
I laughed so hard xD
Ellen DeGeneres is a wonderful human being. I just keep finishing my data every day on UA-cam watching. How I wish I could have you on television in my country. Keep on keeping on great woman
Yay bilinguals!!!! Love that her kids can speak both :)
She is adorable!
"Yeah, and I paint their faces like mimes-- what's wrong with you?"

Can we see more of Wanda please! 🥰
I am dead 3 times laughing till I cried. I love wanda
Wanda Sykes should be a regular! She's insanely funny with Ellen!
Wanda Sykes is too real. That's why I love her, she keeps it real.
"what the hell is wrong with you Ellen?" I almost fell off my chair, laughing so hard! Ah, Wanda, you're the best!! love ya!
When you're european visiting the states and the bellman is standing in your hotelroom staring at you for no apparent reason...
France, tips are including in the prices. So you don't really need to tip (unless you want to tip twice). Usually, people leave less than 0.30€ for a coffee upto 5€ for a meal in a restaurant, this is a custom (either rich or not, student, business men,...)
I need a Wanda in my life. Period.
There’s no words to describe how hilarious she is lol
LOVE WANDA SYKES !
Wanda sykes is so funny, Helen is great, and she is right: we definitely smoke too much :)
These two together are comedy Gold!
i love wanda!! shes hilarious
Wanda Skyes was so annoyed (amusing way) by Ellen on wearing a beret to school. The reaction makes me laughed so hard.
