Yes I would buy a replica!! I’ve always bought authentic items and I’m tired of spending my money. The day I find a fake bag that can 99% pass as the real thing - I’ll be first in line to purchase one. I bought a classic flap for my birthday and it was the lousiest $10,000 I’ve ever spent. I feel terrible!! It’s just a bag!! I’m going to keep it because it’s my dream bag but is it worth it? No!! I fear carrying it too. Just silly!!

Rich ppl don’t spend $ foolish that’s one of the reason, they are rich. Some rich ppl don’t drive fancy car either. They invest their $ and send their kids to private school.
It's simple for me. Rich people are rich because they know how to manage their money well, they don't need to feel part of a certain community because they have a social status. If you could find a craftsman who could make a birkin, say *condupcom* , and if you had the opportunity to buy the exact same Hermès leather, same hardware and pay a tenth, I highly doubt you would buy it because of ethics
i love my square mini i paid 150$ and ive seen many people complaining about the real one's turnlock not being lined up and mine is perfect🖤 its much harder to get a good fake chanel now they are sue happy!

I think we’ve brought in the idea of “when I’m carrying or wearing a luxury brand, I’m set apart from the rest”. Even when you can barely afford it. I’ve got luxury bags, but I also have other beautiful leather bags that I bought many years ago that I love very much. Beautifully handcrafted pieces are timeless and can stand the rest of time. We really need to be prudent and question our own motives of why it matters if you are wearing “that shoe” or carrying “that bag”. We’ve bought into an idea and it’s a costly one other unintended consequences.

Great video and some interesting takes. I personally don't have an issue with people buying replicas but I do have an issue with people who use them to rip unsuspecting people off by charging ridiculous prices for them or passing them off as the real thing. It definitely makes me not want to buy a pre-loved bag...but that presents another question in regards to potential involvement from the actual companies. They haven't been pleased with the pre-loved market cutting into potential sales, so who is to say that maybe they aren't behind some of it in order to push people back to buying new, even though quality has been in a continual downhill slide lately?
You aren't the 1st person I have heard this theory from. I wouldn't put anything past these luxury brands, however, even if they are somehow involved i still think there is a larger problem out there with counterfeit goods in general.
I completely agree with you regarding the people who buy them. As long as it's for their personal use, I couldn't be bothered. My problem is when they try to swindle unsuspecting people looking to buy authentic goods

Okay love the perspective you provided on this video. I’d rather buy A real handbag from an affordable designer than a replica bag it doesn’t sit well with me at all. It’s so weird that someone who would go to that length to pretend that they’re wearing a handbag that they can’t afford for whatever reason what bothers me is to know that some of these are on these secondhand luxury handbag websites and even Authenticators are fooled… that’s terrible.
The idea that authenticators can now be fooled because the fakes are so good is scary. I would be devastated if I bought a bag thinking its real only to get a replica that fooled everyone.

I would prefer a dupe - a copy of a design I like but without the branding which would make it a replica. When you look at the jaw-dropping greed of these luxury brands coupled with a growing contempt for their customers, their appalling behaviour is a a terrible role model for society. They could clean up their act by making bags with realistic price tags.

There is no feeling that is distinguishing between a real or fake bag . The quality of the authentic bags become just as damaged as their mirrored products . There literally is no difference anymore . Except one you pay more for .
There are so many beautiful bags in every price range. I don’t understand why anyone would buy a wannabe bag. YOU will always know it’s fake even if nobody else does.
I don’t know how to put this but my opinion is: it really depends on one’s perspective on things… for me, I plan on getting a Chanel médium flap and Chanel brooch and that’s all I feel I am going to get from them and in no way will these be /can be replicas because they would no longer be Chanel… on the other hand, I will buy a birkin bag style for the shape not the brand so I will look for one from Buti company because I don’t want it ready Hermès Paris. I want an Hermès bracelet and belt but they can’t be replicas because it would defeat the whole purpose of getting a luxury item . Those brands are luxury for some of us but just regular items for others. I would go for a vintage with a classic flap because the chanel quality isn't there anymore. If you're in the UK you can buy preloved from selfridges and sellier and fully know it's a real chanel. The current classic flaps in chanel look cheap and the quality has gone massively down hill.

I have a replica bag collection and i recently added a birkin bag. 2.000 euros for a birkin retourne in exotic orstrig skin in yellow. When i saw it and touch the leather i was getting crazy in my mind. Now i can have exotics too. Always when i carry my bags out pepole think there are real and i can easally sell them to somone that want to pay a cheaper price let's just say i have a replica speedy 25 i can sell it for 600 hunder easally and pass as real but used. The leather that they use to make it is real cowhide vacceta leather so it is patena beatifully and that makes them think is 100% real. But I would never do that becouse i don't like to robe pepole, second it is illegal and last it is really trashy to do that kind of stuff for profit of 400 euros. I really like your video wish that the seller that you had the conversation was up for that info to go public on youtube i really wanted to her what they gona say. I speak to my seller every week. If i were going for Chanel, id go for a replica bc thier quality is shit rn, and that's an insane amount of money for crap quality. I have only 1 replica which would def be ceiling quality. All of my other bags are authentic.

I think if you buy preloved in selfridges there is no way it could be fake. Chanel quality is now TERRIBLE I'd advise vintage chanel and avoid current chanel.

I could easily sell them that bag as real. The Leather is soft, the hardware is gold. I am of the opinion that a replica is worth nothing, it has no resale value. I personally would rather buy in the preloved market that buy a replica. But the hermes preloved market is a joke, the items are more expensive than the ones in store, other than that, most items are cheaper in the preloved market.

My view with regards to replica is one of ethics and intellectual property. I am of the belief that the creator of any product is entitled to the profits therefrom. If I cannot afford the original design then I would prefer a dupe. That sits better with my conscience than passing off a replica knowing it is not the real thing. The issue of the child labour and poor employment conditions in third world countries is also at the fore of my mind. Great video.
