Your video helped me to mount and connect the kit 99-7612A in my Murano 2004. Thank you for posting this unique video that explain all the procedures step by step. My first time doing this kind of work.
I have looked everywhere for this video. Everyone has it completed. Wish I found it earlier today. Get on it tomorrow. I have everything hooked up but the stereo. Mines a bit different. THANKS SO MUCH!!
I installed mine last week and everything is perfect. Thanks bro. I’m going to try to install the steering wheel control hopefully that is a success as well.
Thank you brother! This video saved my day. You are right about the cost of this product and how cheap it is. Again, thank you. I have just put my radio using the aluminum factory hang, and it looked perfect!
I installed one of these kits(Metra 99-7612 dash kit) the other day. I couldn't get the steering wheel control to work correctly with the ASWC-1. It wouldn't auto detect correctly when programming, only the volume up worked. Volume down button would act as the next track button. The next track button would act as the source button. The plug in play ASWC-1 harness thats part of this dashkit seems to have an issue with programming. I've tried 2 other ASWC-1 same result.
So I was wondering, the new bezel doesn't have the MAINT button on it that brings up the tire rotation and oil change maintenance tracker on the top screen, can you still use those functions or are they lost when you switch?
Not sure if you are still keeping track of the comments... but we did the install to T and now have no power to the stereo or no dash lights? What am I missing here?
are you sure that fine...everything should still work even thou 1 is not pluggded in . i wil be installing in 2 days and i wont be able to plug 1 in also im worried
Sorry it’s been over 8 years since I did this.If you don’t see it the video I’m not going to remember. This was the 1 and only time I did this type of install.I also no longer own this vehicle
sorry if you don’t see it in the video i can’t tell you because i have no clue .it’s been over 5 years since I’ve installed this radio and I only did it once. I am not a professional car audio installer. I just winged it
Jamie Douthit No, we didn’t.. There are 2 versions of Murano, unfortunately, the version we have was the one with the built in JBL Amplifier if I’m not mistaken, it’s been 2 years, forgot what i researched about, as it turns out, this Metra Dashkit is incompatible with our Murano so we just gave up on it..
you might have to go back and check all your connection pull on each one make sure they're set .also check the one harness that go's from the top to the bottom of the kit I think that was part of the AC control.
The leftover plug is for the optional Nissan Sirius tuner that mounts behind backseat. If you poked around back there you would find the identical plug for that tuner. I used mine for over ten years and converted that wiring for a spare tire subwoofer so I didn’t need to run more wite.
hi. I need some help. I have a 06 Murano I wired all the cable using the the Metra wiring harness but the stock screen say that the audio is off. my new aftermarket starts and show s all the options that radio has but no sound come from radio. what can be the problem?
did you get it to work im doing mine in 2 days and im worried something not going to work. people are saying 1 plug left over and then a bunch of people having issues just wording if you got it working
give it a shot. it’s not as easy as a regular radio install .I think I cover a lot of the unique steps to take that only apply to this vehicle and that kit .I don’t know what a pro will charge you but if you can’t get it to work you can always put the factory parts back the way it was and take it to someone to install it for you .good luck
I found the problem is the amplifier, I need to wire everything and put a new amplifier would be the most expensive solution, the economic would be a bypass and go.
sorry for this video to be such a inconvenience but I was shooting the video as I was doing the installation that is why the video is not a hight quality and professionally edited video . but if you find a better video of someone els taking their time and showing you how to do this fell free to leave that link and I will direct everybody to that video
Look bro you don't have to watch it and you can take your time and make a new video that's not so shaky.like your ghost in the house video that's a work of art .

Anyone know how to reset the oil change / maintenance with the kit on the top screen?
Did you have Bose stock preamp? Heard you need a pac nis2 for Bose install?

Ditto that question

did you have 1 leftover plug (one that went to the original radio) and nowhere to plug it in?
I'm not 100% sure but I do recall having 1 harness that was left over that didn't get plugged into anything
+Gary A yes you should have one left over plug after the install.
are you sure that fine...everything should still work even thou 1 is not pluggded in . i wil be installing in 2 days and i wont be able to plug 1 in also im worried
did it end up working correctly
how to get the ac controls working
Friend, I need your help with the lighting board harness, could you help me?
Sorry it’s been over 8 years since I did this.If you don’t see it the video I’m not going to remember. This was the 1 and only time I did this type of install.I also no longer own this vehicle
Where was you able to get the wires to get rid of that big chip? What would it be called
where are the aswc-1 cables connected in the murano? the red and black I know where they go but I don't know where the rest of the cables go.
sorry if you don’t see it in the video i can’t tell you because i have no clue .it’s been over 5 years since I’ve installed this radio and I only did it once. I am not a professional car audio installer. I just winged it
Hey, the issue of our AC control is the plug is different from the OEM and the Metra Dashkit, how did you fit yours?
John Edinburgh Yu I have the same exact issue. Did you ever figure this out?
Jamie Douthit No, we didn’t.. Can anyone help me with a question on the aftermarket radio installation?
Why do I have a connecter for the car left?
How did you do the steering wheel control?
i don’t recall .i think it was just a wire that looked like a headphone plug
Where did u buy the radio
Thanks for the video. Is it compatible with murano 2008 ?
Could you have done this install without buying the 199$ kit..made by with the 30$ gm kit
oh ok thanks, I have the white 16 pin connected but i still dont have ac functions working have any idea what that could be
you might have to go back and check all your connection pull on each one make sure they're set .also check the one harness that go's from the top to the bottom of the kit I think that was part of the AC control.
Does this install affect the rear view camera?
kenyata robinson. I don’t know I did not have a back up camera on mine
I installed this kit but im left over with a small connector with 5 wires on it. where do i plug that into.
I think you will be left with one extra plug
did it end up working???????
The leftover plug is for the optional Nissan Sirius tuner that mounts behind backseat. If you poked around back there you would find the identical plug for that tuner. I used mine for over ten years and converted that wiring for a spare tire subwoofer so I didn’t need to run more wite.
hi. I need some help. I have a 06 Murano I wired all the cable using the the Metra wiring harness but the stock screen say that the audio is off. my new aftermarket starts and show s all the options that radio has but no sound come from radio. what can be the problem?
Brayan Saldaña you need to buy a pac LP6-4
hi Brayan sorry but i didn't have that issue and i no longer own that vehicle
ever figure out the problem?
Try connecting the blue control wire to the other blue one. It needs to power up the amp that is in the car and turn the speakers on.
Hi there, do you still have heater display, sat nav display etc after installing this?
yes the small screen did display everything as far as factory GPS that option was not on this vehicle
+djony007 Thank you for the response.

Connect the blue wires. It powers the amp and turns the speakers on. It’s the blue control wire

give it a shot. it’s not as easy as a regular radio install .I think I cover a lot of the unique steps to take that only apply to this vehicle and that kit .I don’t know what a pro will charge you but if you can’t get it to work you can always put the factory parts back the way it was and take it to someone to install it for you .good luck

I found the problem is the amplifier, I need to wire everything and put a new amplifier would be the most expensive solution, the economic would be a bypass and go.
